BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Aha ok! I may try that tomorrow then. Pasta and apple slices here we come ;)

i always give Sophia fruit for breakfast as she is reallyhungry then. Although she would eat it all day if she could - i am sure too much fruit can be a bad thing as well though!

B: Ready brek, melon, refused satsuma

L: Rice cake with tuna and creme fraiche (sucked all the tuna off but left most of the rice cake), cherry tomatoes, banana

S: Very small piece of bread and butter, two strawberries

D: Big slice of leek and bacon quiche, leftover vegetable couscous, sucked on a bit of salad

I usually give Jacob fruit halfway through too as sometimes he gets a little fed up and when I give him the fruit it seems to get him back on track again - too much fruit is bad as it's very acidic, it can cause tooth decay and sore tummys

B: homemade sweetcorn & cheese muffin, slice of homemade banana bread, handful dry rice krispies

S: 2 humzingers

L: a bite of omelette but he spat it out (odd coz usually he lives it), rice cake with Boursin, cherry tomatos, orange pepper, slice of banana bread, raisins

D: chicken, roast new potatos & carrot, pear, raspberries, Greek yoghurt

B - Shreddies
L - Refused pasta salad, whole pouch ella's smoothie, 2 plum biscuits
D - 2 fish fingers, lots of mashed potato, fromage frais, raisins

We're just starting out as Tom was 6 months last week.

B- tiny bit of porridge and about 1/3 piece of buttered toast went down after much sucking and gumming!
L - still milk
D - 3 raspberries and a few bites of strawberry. 4 teaspoons of greek yoghurt - he loves this and would eat the whole pot if allowed!

Quick question - if you give your baby ready brek or sheddies etc do you use cow's milk or use formula/breast milk or water???? Thanks!

Mostly same as yesterday as today was a leftover day :)

B: Cinnamon & raison bagel with a bit of cream cheese, mini weetabix (smooshed in his hand, not eaten at all) and a banana
L: Pasta with tomato & sweet potato sauce, yoghurt, apple slices
D: Thai green curry

hattiehippo: I used full fat cow's milk in cooking once LO turned 6 months. DOn't know about breastmilk, but formula milk was horrible in cereal!

I use full fat cow's milk. But I have given cereal with EBM on one occasion (it was defrosted and I didn't want it to go to waste) - I thought it tasted horrible with cereal but Thomas seemed to like it fine.

Yesterday was a success!

tea
- 5 strawberries that the life was sucked out of - only had enough pulp for 1 strawberry when she finished so something went down!
- Big chunk of banana, which turned rather mushy but when I gave it to her with some skin still attached she was far too interested in chewing the skin!
- cheese on toast, again the life was sucked out of this!

although note to self, don't make more cheese on toast than is needed (you know she wouldn't need two slices!) and then eat it yourself only an hour before eating another tea with your hubby, pickers wear bigger knickers moment! :munch:

I need to remember this too! G does not eat 4 ricecakes at a time with half a small tub of phily!

and I actually made three slices anyway :dohh:

Hungry boy today!

B: About 15 bitesize shredded wheats (had to get him more) with cow's milk, nearly a full banana, some natural yoghurt with fruit spread

L: Big slice of quiche and lots of vegetable couscous, sucked on a couple of cherry tomatoes (he always expects tomatoes to taste different I think, his face when he first tastes them is classic), a pear.

D: Spinach tomato and red onion lasagne, lots of sweet potato wedges.

I think I should have given him a mid-afternoon snack too as he was getting really cranky and as soon as he got his dinner into him he totally chilled out, so I think he might have been hungry?

Wow, Thomas loves his food!

Ruby had

B - Shreddies
L - Half a large tea cake, buttered, chopped papaya, smoothie pouch
D - Chicken korma and half a mini naan, organix fruit bar

And a ridiculous amount of water!

Mini pre-nursery breakfast : handful of dry rice krispies

at nursery...
B: toast & a weetabix
S: apple rice cake
L: cod with peas, carrot & mash
D: veg bake, apple crumble

and because he's seemed hungry overnight after nursery a few times (he has dinner at 4 there but rarely before 5 at home) anyway I offered a snack/supper and he had

homemade cheese & sweetcorn muffin, handful of cheerios, few raspberries

today we had -

Lunch - lots of broccoli and cucumber that mostly ended up the floor as the tables at the swimming cafe are much higher than the highchairs grrr! so there were a few issues. Mostly ended up holding things out for her to grab at - nothing went in but all hit the floor.

Tea - quiche (this was messy but she did get some in! yay!) baked veggies, lots of sucking and strawberries for pud but she was too tired to bother.

I have noticed that after tea and a bath she has a milk feed now and is straight off to sleep, eating tea must be tiring her out!

Isabella had:

B- avocado on toast
L- pasta with mushroom, tomatoes, pepper, chives, babycorn, chicken and chopped tomato juice. Apricot.
D- I was food shopping so Daddy made mash with peas and a homemade burger which she loved! She wouldn't spit out bits that were too big she just swallowed them! She loved it bless her :cloud9: x

And quite a bit of water too x

Haven't posted in a few days!

B: Ready Brek (refused most of)
L: Tin of baby pasta shapes, cantaloupe, cinnamon & raison bagel with cream cheese (loved this!).

Had a DISASTER at lunch - completely messed up the pasta, don't even know how but it was disgusting and he was screaming in hunger so I had to whip out this. It was horrible, I couldn't even eat it, although LO did so I guess it was ok :/

D: Potato wedges, mini burgers, tomato, carrots and yoghurt. LOVED!

LO has definitely started feeding the dog. OH saw it with his own eyes today. I guess that means he likes to share?? :dohh:

I am totally guilty of eating whatever LO doesn't. It makes me feel slightly better about myself when he refuses his food. Gotta stop though before I become a pig :/

Ruby had....

Breakfast - pancake. One mouthful eaten then she cried until it was replaced with a bowl of shreddies :dohh:

Lunch - 2 crackers with cream cheese, innocent fruit squeezy thing, chopped papaya, raisins

Snack - more papaya, dry rice krispies

Dinner - a ridiculous amount of homemade pizza, like 3 large adult slices we think... plus a whole tin of pear quarter in juice
