I LOVE the name Baxter! If I didn't already have all my names picked out that would be up for consideration.

Bax goes so well with Jack imo. And Baxter and Oscar flow nicely. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with it!

Also all my pets have "human names" and I don't think anyone (especially a kid) would be upset or offended that they share the same names as my dogs. I have friends with the same names as some of my pets, no one cares or gets confused haha

My dog is named Maddie, and I have two friends with little girls named Maddie/Madeline. It has never been a problem and the girls think it is awesome!

I am currently a vet nurse and I used to own a dog walking/pet care company so I have met LOTS of dogs in my life and I have never met a dog named Baxter.

My dog is named Baxter and so is my neighbor's dog. I associate the name with a pet, sorry.

I dont see the pet/name issue. My dog was called Charlie and it was still a top runner of a name with my 3rd.
