stephanie hang in there hun i totally know the feeling although i just started tempting mine is starting to drop but so far is still in 98's barely i think af is coming sometimes i just wish she would get here so i can just know and start over..this is very frustrating to me..anyone know how long it could take with clomid to get prego or how long the docs usually let you stay on it to ttc.. i have been trying for year now and just found out i wasn't ovulating so this is first round of clomid..but should i expect to be trying for up to another year or longer don't know if i can take it emotionally..

Thanks hun. I think I started testing WAY too early, and I am learning that I don't like how I feel after testing too early. I am trying to keep my head up, cried it out all this morning, but I might be reacting too soon. We shall see.

As far as how long it takes to get pregs on the devil pill (aka Clomid -.. well it was hell for me.. but I would do it again - obviously), it varies. If you do ovulate on the 50mg, you could get preg right away if you are tracking temps, husband's spermies are good, using OPK's helps a lot - then you can time your intercourse around all of that fun stuff! Some women don't ovulate on Clomid.. but you will be able to tell through temps and if you get post-ovulation blood work done. Just be aware that Clomid can cause you to ovulate later than you would think. From what I have heard, women tend to ovulate on average between CD 16-20... Although, some do ovulate on CD 14, it just isn't that common.

hi new on her. husband and i ttc for four years on second cycle of clomid. had scan on day 9 good follicle on egg then scan on day13 and follicle had ruptured doctor put me on cylcogest. has anyone any experience with these. using napro

I doubt you O'd on CD20 because your progesterone had to be in a certain range for you to get the "You ovulated!" from your doc. You could have O'd on CD 16 or 17 (maybe even 18) though. There is a base level they look for... You could possibly call them and ask for a copy of your progesterone levels and try to get a ballpark idea from them... OR you could just wait to test for another week or so?!?!

well i do know 2 months ago when i had my cd21 labs done my progesterone was 3.6 and the dr said i wasn't ovulating my labs this month cd21 progesterone was 10.6 so she said i o'd i do remeber getting a burst of energy on cd 13 where i literally cleaned everything in my house from top to bottom i could have severed dinner on the floor that night i had cleaned so much..i remember thinking that it was almost like i was nesting like i did right before my daughter came..i'll prob test again wed. but dh wants me to wait till the 6th if af hasn't come i think he just doesnt want to see a bfn

Did you get many clues at all that you might be pg this cycle or was it a complete surprise?

How did your oh take the news btw? I bet he was super excited... I have fantasies about telling mine one day!

My best clue was that I had lots of yellow discharge last week... Quantity was unusual. My husband said that my body seemed very warm. My nipples were a little bigger, but they have fooled me many cycles before, so I don't think that counts! I am glad that I didn't put myself through the roller coaster of emotions that comes with testing too early. I tested on 14dpo.

Telling my husband didn't turn out the way I always hoped it would... My plan was to buy baby socks and put them in his sock drawer. Since it happened on a Sunday, and I didn't have socks on hand, I just showed him the 2 lines. He was pretty quiet and nonchalant.. Acted like it might not count since the lines were different shades. It actually made me sad that he didn't hug and kiss me right away. We talked about it and I realized quickly that he was scared. We wanted this for months now and it was a scary journey. Tonight he was happy and excited. Now we have a lot to do - our plan is to buy a house now that this has happened.

Our 3rd anniversary is next week, and his bday is this week. We have been together for 8 years!

from 2 days my temp is dropping by 0.1 degree, i think its sign af is on way.. but i stopped progesterone day before yesterday.. its effect.. one new thing clomid is making me crampy very much.. i had very-very severe painful cramps since last night which i usually get on arrival of af rarely.. its in uterus region, moreover i m having diarrhea too... still 2 days for af to show.. i m having no cm or slight watery cm.. feeling ill..

welcome dear, for how many days cyclogest is given to you.. i took duphaston/progesterone from 3dpo for 10 days.. it helps in linning and implantation... good luck dear.. lots of babydust to u...

u know mrs perry, its same for my hubby and me.. we can face AF but not BFN.. he is not ready to allow me test as bfn ruins our whole day.. fingers crossed for us.. when is ur af due..

Good here. Thinking either AF is coming or I am having some late implantation bleeding. Not sure. I just started having some light brown spotting this morning when I wipe.. but not enough to use a liner. It is a come and go type thing too.

Either way.. it is a sick joke. I would really like to move on at this point if I am not pregnant. I am not testing again till Thursday or Friday (if AF doesn't arrive before then)... I did go ahead and called in my 2nd round of Clomid. I think the process of physically calling in the prescription helped me accept that this really could not be my cycle. I am still pretty split on it though.

How are you doing Piya? Feeling better today I hope?

A bit of background... I'm 28, DH is 30 and we've been TTC#1 for a year and 5 months. We didn't see a Dr until after a year had passed. Our family Dr did some scans, blood work, HSG. Found out I have hypothyroidism so he sent me to an endocrinologist and I'm on daily medication for that now so thyroid levels are normal now. I get blood done every 4 weeks to make sure they stay normal. HSG came back fine and our family Dr referred us to a fertility specialist. DH is healthy and I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 months ago due to irregular periods. My cycles were around 50-90 days

I'm on round 2 of clomid 50mg CD 3-7. I O'd on first round on CD 17 (positive OPK) but that cycle ended in a BFN. I was surprised since we BD every day the entire week I was "fertile". I'm hoping round 2 works for us. This cycle was a lot different than the first. I have less Clomid side effects. Heartburn and ovary pain only started yesterday whereas the first round I had heartburn and ovary pain throughout until AF showed up. I'm enjoying how clomid at least makes me regular. Having to only wait 30 days instead of 50-90 is a huge relief. This cycle we decided to BD every other day instead of for a week straight during O. Also trying not to think about it as much and stay as relaxed as possible.

I was reading a bit before I replied and when I read your story I thought to myself "well, I fit right in!" haha. Clomid is different for everybody but I hope if you do end up needing a second round that it wont be as hard on you. I had to work from home for a week on the first round. I almost went to the hospital at one point it hurt so much. It felt like my ovaries were exploding.

I don't know if this cycle it isn't as bad just because I'm not as focused on it and just riding the wave and seeing what happens. Could just be a fluke! It's soo hard not to read into every little twinge though, wondering what is going on in there. Personally for myself I just can't focus on it anymore - I've had too many heartbreaks over it. I know DH and I will eventually be parents even if this road leads to adoption.

It's good to know that we're not the only ones and that other women go through the similar things on clomid.

What CD are you at? do you temp?

Haha! No worries. I think I am totally out for the cycle. My "spotting" has now turned into going into the toilet water when I use the little girl's room. I bet tomorrow is my official CD1. BUT - as teary-eyed as I am now, I am lucky as Clomid worked for me (and you!). As we both know, there are women who don't respond to it, but we did! I have my RX called in and I am ready to move on.

I have an appt with an Reproductive Endo this coming Monday. I hope this cycle is a bit more monitored.

Again - I am glad to hear that your lead up to O isn't as painful as the last. I thought I was the only one who had a really painful O.. I mean, even AFTER O'ing, my uterus felt like it was being used as a scratching pole for a cat! I got severe stomach distension but... it wasn't over-stimulation oddly enough. I just had a super dramatic O!

I am sitting here crying my eyes out still. Glad we are in this together.

ps - Husband is being an insensitive asshole tonight. I am getting lectured on how I bring the disappointment on myself due to "obsessing". Maybe so - but is this REALLY THE TIME?!?!?!? Wah.

welcome hopefulbaby, good luck for second round.. even when i found clomid reduced my cycle to 30 days so i got very happy.. i too was suspected for PCO which was ruled out recently.. I ovulated CD16, m 15dpo today, af is on next day temp dropped.. so my official second round of clomid will start soon, and i m positive as ever.. lots of baby dust to u all..
