Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

thanks girls, we finall got home on saturday after 3 weeks in hosp. Doing well so far, fingers crossed. Sorry so short - obvious reasons!

Great news to hear your home and doing well. Can I ask, what is your new arrival called?

Happy 3rd Birthday to Monty :flower:

Happy Birthday to all the bumpkins (be it belated or in advance) - I'm truly useless at remembering who's is when so I'm sorry :flower:

Colsy - hope you're all doing well. :hugs:

How are everyone's October's going? So excited for Earl's birthday on Friday - and then off to his granny's on Saturday for a family tea. I don't think he's expecting presents. I've been asking him what he'd like and all he keeps saying is sweets! :dohh: What did the other bumpkins get pressie wise? Earl is getting a train set extension, a play tent and cars 2 on DVD plus a new bed with all the accessories.

Birthday presents was a couple of ELC build it sets and a large Duplo cars set. He got his bike early as thought it would be more useful in summer. Already started on Christmas now and so far have a few duplo sets and got a scooter half price today.

Hi all,

Its Chloe's party day today but as some may have guessed from facebook Nij and I are ill. Think it was what we are for tea which sucks as we will miss Chloe at her first big friends-come along party. My Mum is going to take over for us as we had paid the deposit and everything. Its typical, next week we are on holiday and at the weekend we are off to a halloween disco Sat and holding her family party Sunday - so long as we are better! Thankfully Chloe is fine but she was sick on Sunday and is on gripe stuff from the docs as she keeps saying her tummy hurts. Well, not now she is on medicine and as happy as ever.

Happy birthday for Earl tomorrow :cake:

We have bought Chloe some shoes, some books, some Peppa PJ's, a Peppa art set and a spongebob plate.

I feel like I've spoiled Earl a bit lol - so excited about his bed arriving tomorrow. lol

Kte - I hope you feel better soon and that Chloe enjoyed her party

Happy birthday milo :cake:

Chloe loved her party and my Mum took some pics and videos for us too. The family / godparent do went well but hard work as we only just felt better and I don't need an excuse to feel tired! Thankfully I forgot my alarm clock hadn't gone back so I gave myself an extra hour getting up early to get a head start on the cleaning! I also baked and decorated Chloe's cake that morning too, don't want to leave it that close again!

Chloe has been given lots of things lucky miss but right now the care bares DVD is certainly her fave! She won't open our presents until tomorrow.

Currently hacked off with nij as the plan was to go out for the day for Chloe's birthday, we originally were thinking coast but never decided where. Right now he is being an ignorant git with attitude for no reason about it all so I'm refusing to talk to him now. F-in twat always ruining moments. You would of thought this would be something to look forward to! Pisses me off as last night we had to take Chloe to a&e as she had a rash. Thankfully she is fine but she is suddenly allergic to something we don't know what yet but it only flared up tonight after being in house all day so I don't get it. Anyway, so it was hard work me saying we need her checking out because he didn't want to drive with a head light out, yet after all the hours in the hospital, he decided on the way home he was hungry and would do anything to get food, so much so we had to seek down a 24hr McDonald's!

So with our trip, I don't know how much funds we have or how much fuel or for getting in or food etc . . . so I need him to suggest areas at least so I can make suggestions but no. He's just in an arse of a mood. selfish git.

Sigh. Well I'm off to bed. No matter what I'll make my little miss's day special.

Kte - sounds like life is busy. Sorry to hear about Nij - if I was you I'd take Chloe swimming or something if he wants to be like that. Sorry to hear about the rash - could it just be a clothes irritation, or a heat rash if she's been in all day. Hope A&E wasn't too traumatic. Thankfully we've not had many trips there ourselves but enough of them lol.

Also, lovely scan pic on FB. Baby looks so lovely! Hope you're feeling ok and that Chloe enjoys her birthday xx

Kte- thank you!
Glad Chloe's party went well! Sorry Nij is ruining it for you :hugs: men never have the best timing with their attitudes :grr: hope you're having a nice day.

Milo will be starting school next week (hopefully). It's not a real school, but an intensive autism clinic. But the place is perfect and I can't wait  Milo's favorite sayings are "oh god" "oh no" and "uh oh". And he can now count to 13  he's definitely coming along these days

Wow hope Milo enjoys his new school :) he sounds to be doing so well now :)

Rash is an odd one, it blisters up, she got it this evening too. It's defo an allergic reaction more than a heat rash but were at a loss as nothing has changed, she hasn't eaten anything different and it usually just on one cheek! We are at my sisters for a few days so it will be interesting to see if it appears again or not.

Thanks about scan Aimee :) I think it's finally setting in we are having another baby, it still doesn't feel real sometimes

I forgot to say, Earl isn't spoilt :flower: we didn't get so much as mostly we will get her things for Christmas - since having 2 parties, her nursery friends one, that was kind of a present! Plus she has been given so much, she is very lucky and still has presents from her aunt coming tomorrow!

The day was great, only stayed local but still had our fish and chips! We ended up at eureka (bloomin expensive but thankfully it's an annual pass!) which she loved. Then afterwards we went into the town centre so she could spend her £5 one of her friend had given her, she chose a car mat and cars.

We're currently watching care bares, Chloe in her pumpkin suit :)

Just to let you know I had my second daughter - Daisy Victoria - on Monday. Planned section did not go to plan as spinal dd not work so had to be put to sleep! She then had problems breathing but all ok and we got home this evening. Another by baby at 9lb15!

Hope you all ok and enjoying the birthday season x

I know that feeling well - I don't think it really properly sunk in for me second time round until I went for the growth scan at 32 weeks, and Eddy kicked the wand so hard the sonographer actually thought the machine was broken. It was at that point that I realised that there was a person in there, not just me getting fat and a nice picture on the mantle lol. The pace of life is such that you get on with life. Pregnancy is the last thing on your mind most of the time lol.

Earl has had a whale of a time today. We didn't got trick or treating in the end, instead we popped round to his old childminder's for a few mins (they have a halloween party every year so I knew they'd be about lol) and then nipped to the park (Earl wearing his devil top and his face done up like a skull lol) then when we came back we did a few party games - musical bumps is one of Earl's absolute favourites lol - and then put out the pumpkins and Earl spent the evening stood on a chair by the window waving at all the children and helping me to hand out sweets lol. We got to 6.30 before we ran out lol.

Lovely name! Congrats! :hugs:

Hello all, how are we all doing?

Chloe started pre-school yesterday. She has been slowly introduced to the room over time but she really doesn't like it now its permanant! I'm sure she will be fine, she is just still adjusting.

She is also having a few toilet problems and I am at a loss as what to do, she holds herself so long she is busting and then has accidents. She was so good at going but she has switched to the toilet and I think as its further away she waits and waits. I think, I may be wrong. She refuses to use a potty now though as well so I can't even have one handy for her just in case :dohh:

Fraggles: Have you moved yet? Wasn't it now-ish you started your new job :flower:
