Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

*drool* I really want one of those Lindt calendars now, way to go ladies! :tease::lol:

Sarah - BIG congrats to your friends, thats amazing news! :cloud9:

I've been wanting to watch Wizard of Oz with my girls too, I think Kyree would love it... but I have to buy it on DVD, I only have it on VHS (yeah we're old school here!) and we don't have a VCR anymore...

haha I had a crap load of disney movies in VHS and we used to watch them but the vcr crapped out on us so now im stuck buying them all on dvd BOOOO!

Hi all :hi:
All caught up.

- I'm making my brother a rubix cube tissue box cover - when I get it done I'll take pictures and post in my journal :)
- I'm also making brownies in a jar - we bought clear glass jars from Ikea when we were over last week and I will fill them with ingredients for brownies and give them along with some dessert port to people.
- I'm only buying presents for DH, my brother and sister, mom and dad, his parents and his sister. At this point we only have to worry about birthday present for my brother and something for his parents!

I'm now on a wait list for surgery to remove my ovarian cyst. It grew from 3cm to 6cm in the last 6 months. The Dr said we could still keep trying to get pregnant but since I'm not ovulating it probably won't happen. So I joined Jenny Craig and have my first week under my belt. The next 6 months are me time. Focusing on losing as much weight as possible before surgery and then hopefully I will start ovulating around the time of surgery and we can really get down to business. Either way, weight loss = easier recovery from surgery and an easier surgery for the Dr, a healthier me, and better chance for clomid to work. I've taken FF off my signature as it's really getting depressing seeing the numbers go up and no change :\

Hope everyone that is sick gets better asap! :hugs:

Yeah I have tonnes on VHS too... but it was one of those DVD/VCR combos and Kyree tried to stuff 3 DVD's in the slot all at once and broke the darn thing. :dohh:

:hugs: reba, I hope after the cyst is cleared up you will start being able to ovulate more! Do they think it is blocking something in your ovaries?

:hugs: Reba.

I just got OH to set up our vcr again so we could put the movies to good use.

:hugs: reba, I hope after the cyst is cleared up you will start being able to ovulate more! Do they think it is blocking something in your ovaries?

It's possible it's blocking my left ovary from functioning but my right one is healthy as could be with 10 folicles so there's no reason for it not to be working every second month! That being said I haven't ovulated since April. Weight is the key I think. With my PCOS losing weight will help with ovulation. So that's the plan! I used to have periods, irregularly, but still had them so I assume I was ovulating then :) It's the darn pill that messed me up royally. Never going on it again. Well that and probably weight gain :dohh:

I've had multiple surgeries to remove ovarian cysts Reba! If you are every wanting to know about it (assuming you haven't had it done before) feel free to shoot me a PM. :hugs:

Taking a break from xmas card writing to have a chat with all of you! :)
Reba - I think you have such a healthy attitude about all of the fertility stuff. And I think you are being particularly wise in finding the things you can control and working on them. When I had a major knee injury and needed reconstructive surgery, I felt SO much better both physically and psychologically when I was given physiotherapy goals to regain my joint mobility. I felt like I got some power back over the situation, you know? And you are right - weight loss is tough, but you'll have benefits in every aspect from doing that work. Good for you, girl! I'm sure rooting for you! :hugs:

Amanda! Hurrah for the countdown!

Am hoping to have 50 xmas cards in the mailbox tomorrow. Must get back to trying to get that damn xmas letter done. Blergh bah humbug argh.
What I would really like to do is go to bed....

And nice treat for me tomorrow: hair salon day! :happydance: 3-4 hours of me time! Hurrah!

2.5 years ago I had a bilateral ovarian cystectomy via laparotomy (probably spelling that all completely wrong but you get the idea) this time she says laproscopy so I'm quite pleased! Thanks for the offer I'll keep it in mind if I have any questions about the laproscopy!

My kid won't sleep!!! And pregnancy hormones have got me all stressed and agitated about it, because I am scared at the thought of starting sleep issues all over again with two newborns while dealing with Andrew's occasional bad nights

Reba :hugs: Good luck with the weight loss and your surgery. I know 3 girls off hand that have had them removed, and my mother (who also had to have some uterine fibroids removed? I think that's what they are called)... I hope that after the surgery etc that TTC gets easier for you... I agree with Sarah your attitude is fantastic and I really do wish you all the best & am really hoping something happens for you, you are a lovely woman and you certainly deserve it!!!

Amanda, hope Andrew falls asleep for you (and stays sleeping!) soon... I can understand why that would be a worry on your mind :hugs:

I have to admit for the first couple months that Peyton was born Jasmine had some really rough nights because she was getting disturbed by Peyton and us up in the night etc. Hopefully your house is set up better!!

Reba- my girlfriend at work has PCOS and she doesn't ovulate much. I think she told me only a couple times a year or something. She was only ever able to get pregnant on clomid. And she got pregnant with twins last time!!!

Reba - My sister only has one ovary, and the doc said you don't ovulate one side and then alternate to the other side. He said its all random. You could ovulate from one side 5 times in a row, and then once on the other side. You could ovulate 100 times one side and then 11 times the other. All random. SOOOOO...KEEP DOING IT! :D :D

I have to agree with the other ladies Reba, you are so positive through it all. It's great that you are finding ways you can make yourself healthier as well.
I can't wait until everything is sorted and you get your :bfp:

:hugs: Amanda, I'm sure that thought is so overwhelming and very worrying. I hope he starts sleeping better for you.

im pretty sure i have read that too wendy - its good info to know!! :hugs: reba!
