Cd2, first round of clomid, anyone with me?

Thanks! :)
I am just cramping like AF is going to start. Yesterday cramping was bad. Today no cramps but just the bloat and that feeling before AF.

So are you due this Wednesday ?

Fairyy I admire your willpower! I am going to try not to test early and obsessively this cycle, I will have to keep you in mind to remind myself that it is possible :haha: With my DS I was convinced I wasn't pregnant because I felt great and just did a test because I was planning on going to a party the next day and knew I was late :dohh: TTC was way less complicated at 19 :haha: Well that got way off tangent...anyways! When are you testing then??

Piper are you planning on testing before AF is due?

I start clomid 100mg tomorrow. I am going to take it in the morning this month this last month it gave me such bad insomnia.

I am too scared to see that BFN. I don't have the guts to test.
I will test tomorrow if AF is a no show.

All the best for this cycle

Hi Ladies!!!

Fairyy & I are following the same plan: Test when AF doesn't show. I also agree about avoiding the sadness associated with seeing a BFN so I may even wait until Friday to test for certainty.

Have a great day!!!:flower:

I admire the determination ladies!

For me I would rather see a negative test so that I am not surprised by AF but I totally understand what you ladies mean!

AF is here right on time. That witch is never late no matter how hard we try and what medication we take :grr::growlmad:

Piper good luck to you hun. I hope you get BFP on Friday. My fingers are tightly crossed for you.

I am not able to decide whether to go for laparoscopic surgery to check for endometriosis and remove if any or try IUI first.

My doctor didn't mention anything about laparoscopy or endo. She wanted to try clomid with IUI but then I requested for clomid to try with timed BD. When I asked about me having the possibility of endo she said that might be a possibility and 30percent of unexplained infertility cases have endo. Removing it would increase my chance of getting pregnant.

But the problem is that just to know whether I have endo or not they have to perform surgery and they will remove it then. What if I don't have endo.

Shall I go for the surgery or try IUI first ? If I have endo then IUI might not work too. I don't want the IUI cycle to end in same old AF. But DH is saying what if you go for surgery and after the surgery they tell you that everything is clear and you don't have endo!!! What to do ???:help:

That's really tough fairyy. :hugs: I am taking the hopeful route and praying that iui works but I can tell DH thinks we will spend this money on iui and still end up with a bfn. If it were me I would try iui first. Do you have any symptoms of endo? I don't really know too much about it  I totally understand your point of checking and the 30% stat that your doctor presented but that also means that for 70% of unexplained cases endo isn't the answer....

Well Ladies...there's no need to wait until Friday but AF showed up this morning! With yesterday's temp drop, I was prepared for its arrival. We are disappointed but still hopeful. Still taking clomid...trying to decide whether we should have a monitored IUI cycle or not....

Happy Hump Day!!!:hugs:

Oh no Piper :hugs:
So sorry that witch showed up.

Hope we all get lucky this cycle.

.... no bfp for you and me being at cd23 and still no positive opk....
what's going on good old Clomid? Why aren't you a miracle drug to give us the babies we have been longing for aaaaaages!!!!! not so easy to stay positive sometimes...

i wish you all the best for this new cycle....

joy still no positive opk at cd23! That's really strange and frustrating. :hugs:
I totally get you on that it is so hard to stay hopeful after months and even years of BFN.

Clomid did nothing for me. I didn't feel any different last cycle.
Let's see how this cycle goes!

I started proper bleeding around 8/9pm on Tuesday and it got heavier overnight. Which day should I consider as cd1 ? Tuesday or Wednesday ? I am supposed to start clomid on cd5.

So sorry joy :hugs:

Fairyy I would count the first day, so Tuesday. If you were spotting before the proper bleed then definitely Tuesday.

Yes, spotting started Tuesday morning before the proper bleed.

todmommy last cycle you were on 50mg clomid right ?

Does this increase in dose of clomid (100mg) for this cycle is giving you any side effects ?

Ladies are you trying expectorant or anything for mucus ? If so what is the dosage and on which days you take it ?

Piper are you trying IUI again this cycle or timed BD ? Is there any change in dose of clomid ?

Yep I was on 50 last month. Honestly I feel better than ever, and I was miserable last month. I am taking the clomid in the morning and I think that has made a huge difference for me. Since I got insomnia last month I was sleep deprived on top of everything else. So all in all this month is way better and even though the dose is double the side effects are pretty much nonexistent! I used pre seed last month but that was it. Are you going to do iui this month??

I am struggling big time. The biggest factor in our iui decision was financial and we had decided that we could do it and yesterday I felt great about the decision and all was good.....then forward to last night when I saw the bill for last months medicated monitored cycle, $1500, ouch! I knew it was coming, I should have been ready but I wasn't. I feel guilty that I will put this added finincial burden on us when I'm not working. Now if the iui works I won't give two craps about that bill but if it doesn't work it is going to taunt me in the worst way. I'm 99% sure that I won't back out of the iui but I think I just need some feedback, encouragement, and advice to calm my wandering mind....

No, not doing IUI this month.

$1500 for medicated cycle  that's costly. Do you have to pay it yourself ? What about your insurance ? Doesn't it cover a part of it ?

I am planning to make an appointment with RE for consultation to know the next step if clomid with timed BD doesn't work. If I am going for IUI then better to do with a specialist and I read somewhere that if you ovulate on weekend then OBGYN's office won't do anything :growlmad: and I am curious to see if RE mentions about endo or not! My OB didn't suspect about endo but when I mentioned about it then she said it might be a possibility.

The money you are spending is definitely worth to get a BFP. I am here with you supporting and encouraging you. :dust:
