Certain symptoms, Certain genders?

What does your gut say? boy or girl? and has anyone been correct? :)

It's an old wives tale.
"If you're feet are colder than normal it's going to be a girl."
"If you need to shave more frequently, you're going to have a girl."
Both old wives tales but I find them amusing.
My cousin had a baby girl recently. Had no idea she was prego until she was in labor but she had no symptoms at all. They're amusing but they're not based in anything

So 90% of babies born are boys?? Isn't that high?

90% of pregnant women have ms, but not 90% of babies are girls.

I had no ms with ds whatsoever if that helps? This time i have felt ill but nothing major and havent actually been sick at all, phew! looks like im in the 10% will be interesting to c if im having another boy to see if the theory is right!

no 90% aren't boys just 90% of pregnant women have ms

I think the rates vary but girls are slightly higher something like
52% :pink: : 48% :blue:

In general its just 50/50 :)

my mum had awful morning sickness all the way through her pregnancy and had my older brother so i think it is just a myth but if it wasnt i would be having a boy xx

My gut says a girl

and my pregnancy is different so far to having DS but who really knows!

I had no morning sickness in my first pregnancy and I had a boy.

nope its not true i wasnt sick once with my daughter and havent been sick this time either so thats what made me think i'm having another girl.

Everyone is different hun but...that's how it is for me lol I have two girls and a boy and with both my girls I have had everything...and I mean everything lol but with my son who is my middle child I had nothing except heartburn at the very end of my pregnancy lol xx

ugh i wish we could know the gender at 5wks! haha

I know this is really weird and I'm probably going to sound mental, but I think I'm having a girl. The only thing that makes me think that is I planted some flowers which came into bloom around the time I found out I was pregnant, they were a mixture of snap dragons and sweet peas and every single flower that has bloomed in that pot I'm not kidding, has been pink.
I'm so supersticious lol!!!

just popping in to say I had no MS and a hairy belly lol.. oh and heaps of heartburn at the end... and had a little boy xx

Most of my friends are saying I'm having a boy. Just because I'm not sick to my stomatch.....myth?

Most friends with girls say they had extreme morning sickness and couldnt keep anything down. Friends that had baby boys, had a smooth pregnancy.

Fact or Myth?

i had 3 boys and was very very sick,so id say myth:flower:

I kind of have a sneaking suspicion that I'm having a girl. I'm having bad morning sickness and fatigue but I think that's unrelated honestly. My mom did not have morning sickness with any of her pregnancies. She had three girls and one boy. In fact, when I was born, my brother said if it was another girl he was going to jump out the window. :haha:

lol Myths all. Like Gemm said it easy to dispel all these myths. If there was an easy way to tell then we would know it and be able to do it and Henry VIII wouldn't have had to kill so many wives.

If we're talking personal experience, I was horribly ill with my first boy; my sister was utterly without ms her first boy and has had hyperemesis with both her next two boys (different dad with these two); my sil has 5 boys and had no sickness with the first 4 but was quite poorly with the 5th. More a sign of the toll lots of babies takes on the mum I think.

I hope we all get what we want. Even though I'm sure we will be happy either way :D
