child benifits UK girls....not good news

Totally trying to work that out on my iPhone....

Aye aye we believe you!

Totally agree with vinteenage.

I'm glad all these benefits are being cut.

well maby if you were in a situation where you had the smallest amount of money then you wouldnt have the same veiw.
From all your posts i read you seem to have a very snobish attitude. I will say right now that the £500 and the £190 or whetever it is really did help me, my family dont have much money and so it does help some familys that have no savings and little money coming in. Maby you could afford to buy everything but some people dont, i think you need to take that into consideration other peopes situations before posting.

I think they should have a cut off point for who should get it not completely take it away! Its totally unfair to people who genuinly wouldnt be able to afford to buy things without it.

And maybe before going in all guns blazing, maybe i have been in that situation before?

Before my fiance was lucky enough to become successful in his job, we relied TOTALLY on the benefit system. We were on jobseekers, housing benefits, every single benefit going, we had it. I know exactly what it's like to struggle, actually.

I'm sorry you find me 'snobbish' but i'm damn well proud of what we have worked for and if that makes me snobbish, i couldn't give a monkeys. I'm also damn well sick of all these benefits available. So yes, i am glad they have clamped down.

And for all these people saying 'we need the money' .. What do you think people did BEFORE benefits were around? They just had to get buy. There have been people living off hardly anything before benefits and they survived..

As i said before, we totally relied on the goverment before we found and worked hard at our jobs, so i know exactly where people are coming from. We had barely anything, we didn't eat for days, lived in the cold, it was awful. however, i do believe the government hand out money willy nilly, and too much of it. I did take the 190, but refused the 500. Babies are not expensive. They are only expensive if you make them so.

So, yes i do stand by my earlier post that i am glad the government is clamping down. We are in too much debt. It's up the parent to pay for their child as best they can, not the government. It's not snobbish, it's logical.

Your only glad that the benefits are cut now that YOU DON'T NEED THEM ! If you were still broke then I'm sure you'd be gutted ! Wow babies aren't expensive huh ? I'm the stingiest of them all but I know my self that the basics a child needs works out to be very expensive ! ...Wonder what you have deprived your kid ...

I beg your fucking pardon?

Read the rest of my fucking posts and don't be such a fucking idiot. My child is not deprived at all. What a nasty thing to say.

I'm glad that certain benefits are being cut, not all.

Sort that disgusting accusatory attitude out.

Did you even read her post properly?

And her kid is most certainly not deprived of anything. Fact is that she and her family were once in your position and worked to get themselves out of it, and she should be proud, why not? That's a good enough example to her child I would say- that benefits are there to be used when required, and not a life choice.

A very harsh accusation there! I think you should re read the post and appologise to aob1013. That was a really unjustified thing to say, no matter how much you might disagree with her opinion on some benefits being scrapped.

Aalyia how dare you. Her child is deprived of nothing at all, he has everything he possibly needs. And since when does the amount your child have have anything to do with being a good mum. You have clearly been deprived of manners and the abilty to grow up. What an immature insensitive comment to make !!

Yeah, actually let's get this deprivation into perspective. We've spent nearly 8 grand on Leni .. definately deprivation.

Disagree with my opinions but don't fucking even dare insinuate i am a bad Mother. Do not get on the wrong side of me.

Bit f*cking rude!
Just because I don't spend all my benfits (£320 a month) on Ava it doesn't mean I am depriving her.
You don't need to spend loads on babies, as long as they are fed & have nappies wipes etc.
Not to sound harsh (even though you were to Ally) you don't even have a child so have no idea of the costs!

Actually babies are not expensive. You can get most things second hand, your body provides the fuel for the first six months (longer if you wish), and liquidising carrot etc. and freezing costs next to nothing when they start weaning. Its not about deprevation (and I think you are being very rude), its about living within your means, not working out how much you 'deserve'.

Crikey, I have never claimed a benefit in my life (bar three months JSA so my NI got paid), when I got made redundant. My OH and I earn good money, but we live in a two bed flat, we cant afford to move because we are in negative equity, we will buy things second hand, and it wriles me when I see people who get every handout going who can go and spend £1000 on a brand spanking new Icandy! and whinge that benefits are getting cut!

This is coming from someone who's relying on her mothers low income status to get the sure start grant when she's married?!!? :dohh:

What an awful and childish thing to say. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't give you the right to throw inaccurate personal accusations at them!

We all know Leni is deprived of nothing and you are bloody fantastic mother! She's in for a big wake up call when her baby arrives x

How mean :( I don't think anyone deprives their child of anything, what's this site coming to? :nope:

Thank you hun, thank you very much xxxx

Ok, first off, this is incredibly old news... we knew of these cuts when the government changed power.

Second, i too agree with the cuts. I've never claimed benefits in my life, but i was brought up on them. Something has to give, and if my tax and NI payments are going to go up, i expect everyone to feel the pinch... its not a case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer... its the ENTIRE country getting out of debt so our children dont have to pay 55% tax on basic salary when they hit 18, or so they dont have to pay 1000% APR on all future loans - that is how bad it could be if we dont STOP spending as a country.

Its not just the benefit system being cut you know... almost all services have been, as well as education, the NHS, the poice fire and ambulance service, the armed forces.... sorry but if soldiers are gonna get their helicopters taken away a freeze in CB (which goes up by about 10p a week by the way, hardly fantastic) is welcomed IMO.

Lastly - before you harshly say aob deprives her child, i suggest you get to know her first. If Leni is a deprived child, i dread to think what Kids in africa are called... get some manners! You'll get a fantastic wake up call when your kid is born.

Good fucking grief.

Can we keep personal insults and digs out of the conversation please ladies, this isnt a school playground

In the UK i think everyone knows where the problems lie when it comes to benefits...
The government seems to be taking from all the wrong people, i think.
People know exactly want to do and say to every benefit under the sun, meaning that people who actually need it lose out.
Benefits should be for people in need of them, not because they can simply be bothered to find a job to support themselves. Mothers on the other hand, already have a full time job and deserve years with there children!

Although freezing the child benefit, i don't know how people are complaining about that cause there was no guarantee it would actually increase? You can't lose money you didn't have.
