child tax.. do i need to renew?

my LB was born 20th april, i got my first tax credit payment on the 16/6/14.. do i need to renew my tax credits? i haven't received a pack thing

No because the tax year starts April 6th, presumably you were able to give them accurate figures for 2013-14?

yeah i did, so i just missed it then if id of claimed before 6th april then id of needed to renew?

also another question...

when i do renew next year, do i give them my earnings for this year, like what im earning now? so id need to tell them my MA & CB rather than my wage?

Maternity allowance and child benefit dont count as earnings as they arent taxable as far as im aware. But if you are back at work when it comes to renewing next year you will need to let them know you are working and earning a wage again not just mat allowance.
