I was adamant i wasnt doing it for years as ds3 had one in his class in year 1 and was really upset by the idea, but I told him that it would be us moving it for fun and we didn't use it as behaviour enforcement so I think that made it more enjoyable
I don’t think it would work in our household due to my sons autism. He doesn’t really cope with change and each day has to be the same routine as the day before or he has a melt down any change he has to be eased into gently and with the move next month plus Christmas potentially being different due to covid and starting a new school, it’s already going to be different for him no matter how much I try to keep things to what he is used too.
It’s defo something that looks fun though lol
I keep saying to myself when DH is next off that's when we can do the tree and decorations.
I am so over general decorating now! We did the girls rooms just before they went back to school in September and now the hallway weeks before Christmas! At least it's all tucked off the list should we decide to move and if not, it's still a job that needed to be done at some point.
I'm usually really on the ball with putting dates on the calender as soon as we get them but have been terrible this year, I suppose part of it is not knowing if they'll even be in school by then because of COVID and bubbles closing all the time. Our wedding anniversary is the 19th though and I remember either thinking that it was the day of or the day before that
