So my BIL is planning to visit on 23rd all being well with his wife and two kids (be the third family in our bubble) so now I'm panicking about hosting them when I didn't plan too.

I would just get a bunch of buffet food and some extra drinks and make the best of it. After this year it'll be nice to be together even without any extras.
