I shall give it a go tomorrow :D

I had noticed when were out, he wont sleep unless hes reclined and the hood is up.

Did you ever had trouble where to draw the line when it came to something like teething? ie if they were alseep but woke up, you had helped them as much as you could and trying to get them down to sleep again.

we had a few nights like that, I just usually took her out of her bed, gave her a cuddle and some baby nurofen and some teething powders, then about 10-15 mins later I would put her back to bed, like it was just a normal bedtime iykwim?

Well I feel like this has been too easy, I'm sure there must be worse to come. Katie woke at 5.20am, I fed her & put her back in her cot at 5.50. She was awake when I left but there was no crying & she was asleep within 10 mins, till 9.30!!!

Same again for her nap, I've just put her down wide awake & went for a shower. No crying & by time I was out of shower she was fast asleep!!

Good stuff! Just keep at it, but it's like AG says, she might well have an off night in a few nights time but dont give up! :hugs:

I thought that when we did it, it was easy for the first night. Sad to say by the 3rd that was our worst night but i hope it isnt the case for you :hugs:

Naptimes with us, put the blind down, and had a little resistence (he stands so we have to put him down ) but he was asleep after 10 mins.

we had 2 do it for nap time, took an hour for her first one and seconds for second. at night she gets up 3 times? trying 2 work out if its a habit or hungur do i wait the same ten mins like with bed time ?

has she always got up 3 times a night or only since you started to CIO? Does she have a dummy?

on a good night she wakes 2 times, once she woke once  so Im not sure, she dont have a dummy she just cries, I tend to just jump and get her all time, but she settles her self 2 sleep stright after feed so im not sure, should I just wait it out? TIA x

next time she wakes up I would hold off for a while before you go to her, see how it goes.

:)

Thank you I will try it 2night and let ya know :) she went down without a peep tho

taperjeangirl she woke at 10:30 normally I would grab her feed her put her back down but she farted  and went back to sleep till 1:05 so I fed her put her back down and she settle her self with no crying till 5.45, then after feed slept till 9:30  thanks for the advise long may it continue and she continues to drop feeds

Yay! Good news!

How was your night with Alex AG? Did he sleep through?

untill midnight, awful :( something was up with him, he got to the point of trying to sleep but something was stopping him. gave him calpol and he evntually went around 12. He did wake up crying again but stopped after a minute.

just had her hour nap then went down cried a little but then played asleep within ten mins woke just short of an hour then woofed down her lunch

Katie just took 10mins to go asleep last night!! she woke twice but after a feed went down no problem. she's had a nap today & took a bit longer to settle (25 mins) but she eventually went to sleep.

this really is the best thing i have ever done. some night's i'd be up for 4hrs at a time as she'd wake up when i put her down and start crying, so i'd pick her & nurse her again.

sorry about the typing, feeding katie

ohh bless him god dam teething :( hope its better 2night

see im not sure whether it was? He wasnt crying like he was in pain, it was more of a moany cry liek he does when hes trying to go to sleep. OH thought he sounded bunged up but he didnt have a runny nose. Id described to TJG last night about a fake cough he does but it sounded a bit off to what he normally does, like he was clearing his throat?

We used to have to lay on the bed with Daisy swaddled every night to get her to sleep before we did CIO, honestly it was like we had no life at night cos whoever was doing it that night would always fall asleep with her so we never saw each other!

It's the best thing we ever did too :)

maybe the starts of a cold, hope it clears soon :hugs:
EB to be hoesnt when we did it at first it was a nightmare and I bottled it a few times and thought it cant be right she is screming even more, then she started settling, then I messed it all up again by napping with her etc. but now we seem to be back on track thanks :)
