Clomid question :)

We have been ttc for over two years now and I am starting clomid 50mg next cycle. I am SO tired of BFN , in fact I don't even test anymore because it's depressing to constantly get BFN.

Just had an HSG and at least one tube is free and clear (the second one was undetectable so "inconclusive" results).

Did anyone in October get BFP?

What is clomid like for you? Mood swings? Anything I should be aware of?

I am so excited that this may work...I just may go and get some pregnancy tests again. *crossing fingers for all of us*

I got a BFP on my 1st cycle of clomid. I took 50 mg for CD 2-6 in October. I took it at night to avoid any "side effects". Hope it works for you too!

Congrats Piper!! I didn't ovulate on 50mg which is okay cuz I will be starting 100mg tomorrow! I took mine at night also and found I would get really hot right away and have a hard time falling asleep but that was the only side effect I noticed. Hoping it doesn't get worse on 100mg!

I was ttc for 2 years with ds and was put into 50mg clomide and got a BFP 2nd cycle. He is now a very active 14 month old, and I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with #2 which happened without any help.
The side effect I noticed were hot flushes and I got quite bad headaches. I also took it says 2-6 and mainly took it at night time. Baby dust to you ladies xxx

I just got a BFP on my first cycle of Clomid (50mg, Cd2-6). I think I'm 15dpo. We're hoping it sticks! We've been trying for about 16 months and it's my first BFP ever.

I am 11dpo now, if this is not a BFP cycle then I will start on 50mg of clomid days 3 to 7 next weekend most likely. I am very regular and two years of charting shows evidence that I am ovulating. My husband hasn't been tested yet, I think my doc wants to get me going even though DH hasn't been tested because of my age, I am 38. I have been waiting for the fertility clinic to call me for an appointment for three weeks! At least I can do this while we wait.

Where are you in your cycle? I am crossing my fingers for you!!

Thanks Lotus! I hope this is a BFP cycle for you so that you don't have to bother with the clomid. It's actually not too bad but it's just extra hassle! I'm on CD10 and took 100mg from days 3-7. I'm feeling really awesome about this cycle. Excited to start BDing and doing OPKs today You must be 12dpo today, when will you test?! It's getting to be that time!

Yes, 12 dpo today but had some spotting just a bit ago so I think I am out this month.

I won't test unless af is late. But I really think the witch is on her way.

The fertility clinic finally called and there was a cancellation so we are going Friday of next week. I am so happy to finally move forward!

I am so glad you are feeling good about this cycle! Lots and lots of baby dust to you



Perhaps Santa will help us this month!

I'm glad you're moving forward soon with the FS. Going to mine was the best decision I ever made. Not just because of the medical knowledge and help, but she just made me feel so much better about TTC!

Fezzle: Congrats on your BFP! I love your picture, it gave me a welcome chuckle this morning.

More spotting today, so I am looking to the next cycle with hope and waiting to crack open my clomid box...woo hoo! I have to keep reminding myself that this is all about perspective. I could see af coming as a new opportunity for another cycle to be successful instead of as another failure. So I am going to look ahead, pray and even ask Santa for a little help!

I am really excited about seeing the fertility doc. The clinic here is usually booked months in advance so it is really amazing that they are getting us in so soon! YIPPEE!

We are going to try the Sperm Meets Egg method this cycle as well. Perhaps we have just not been catching it right. Have any of you tried Sperm Meets Egg?

I like your perspective on the new cycle! I hope you get a Christmas BFP!

I never tried SMEP because I think part of it relies on getting a positive OPK, and it's only been in the last three cycles I've ever had any! We would usually try every other day, other than one holiday in May when we managed every day for almost a week!

I have been looking over my charts and a couple of weeks we were good every day and others we may have just missed it. Perhaps that has been part of the problem all along.

I am so so so hoping this is a lucky month. It's a fresh cycle...and my first time on Clomid...here goes!!

Yay for Clomid! I found it really exciting to start taking it I've never actually followed an SMEP but i usually BD three days in a row starting the day i get my + OPK. I learned on another thread that you O 12-48 hours after the first positive. That's a big time frame! Got my first positive OPK today so the BDing party has started. Hope you like the Clomid Lotus. Keep me updated on how your cycle goes!
