I think there might be a cultural difference here too (not just one in times). I'm happy to keep LO in same clothes for a couple of days if they stay clean. Not that it happens very often though But when it does, I'm perfectly fine with him wearing the same for a couple of days. Less washing, less waste of water and energy, still a clean baby. But same goes for grown-ups, too. I remember we used to be amazed at American TV shows where teenagers would wear something different to school every single day!
Fresh clothes on Livvy everyday. If we go out anywhere i will always change her before we go out too.
Also i always take a spare pair of socks incase hers look a little bit mucky while we are out.
Same with sleepsuites.
I know what you mean by the inlaws. I always find they give them choc & stuff & dont wipe it of there faces or hands properly. Never seem to use a bib either. Worries me that family friends will go round to visit while Livvys there & looking mucky lol.
