I have read that you get light cramps when you ovulate. I had light cramps today so I took a OPK and it came back negative. Any thoughts ?

An OPK detects a surge of the hormone that causes ovulation, so you'll get a positive OPK 24 to 48 hours before you ovulate, not while you're actually ovulating. If the cramping you're feeling is indeed ovulation, it's too late to get a positive OPK.

Good luck :)
