Debate: - Gun Laws and Self Defence

i agree that its isn't likely that a child would be shot. i read about swimming pools being more dangerous, luckily (or unluckily) i live in a country where nobody has swimming pools anyway! but if i had kids i wouldnt let them near a house with that risk without me there
most people around here do have guns as i live in a farming area. i think they have a right to to protect their land, but from animals not people
i would never hurt someone unless they were going to commit a violent crime, i dont think i could live with myself if i shot someone
