How exciting about the flat! Ahh, you'll love it! It might be a little struggle at first getting yourself sorted with finances but so long as you're on top of it all, it'll fall into place and be fine soon enough! :D

Thanks SL, got two luuush new nappies in the post and am already planning my next

Happy Paddys Day indeed!

JD - glad jabs were ok.

PD - yaaay about the flat, it'll all fall into place, you'll see :)

I'm meant to be returning to work in a couple of months but am currently looking into quitting my job and setting up my own business so it can be on my terms. FX'd!

How's everyone doing today?

Morning all, I'm good thanks Lorna, how are you, and everyone else?

I'm not looking forward to going back to work, I always thought I wouldn't be that bothered, esp as I know the people looking after Jake will look after him, but now I really wish I didn't have to. Unfortunately we'd be in the baliff situation too if I didn't. DH is hoping to go part time to have Jake a couple of days a week. I can earn a lot more than he does so it makes sense.

Claire - I'm sure you'll manage moneywise with the flat, glad you found one you like. FX it's you next SL.

Nothing exciting planned today, trip to tesco is about as good as it gets lol.

Elski - that's a fab idea about setting up your own business? What do you do?

Ohhhhh own buisness sounds like fun? What would you be doing?

Yawnies im tired. Matthew's been shouting and winging a bit in his sleep

Happy St Patricks Day!

Hello MTA :) lol

Hey.

Amber trying read hollie a story & show her the pictures lol.
Anyone elses LO seems desperate to sit up? When hollie lying down on my arm her legs go up then she pulls herself up a bit, she also does it in the carseat alot, keep having to give her lil push to lie back down.

How is everyone today? Horrible day outside.

Well I used to be a midwife and am qualified/insured as an antenatal educator and breastfeeding counsellor so I want to start delivering personalised parentcraft/birth prep classes. Somewhere between NHS (not informative enough on the whole) and NCT (too expensive for a lot of people). I'll also specialise in traumatic birth and trying to achieve vaginal birth after previous traumatic delivery. And I plan to dedicate a day once a month, visiting people who are having probs with breastfeeding or people having a hard time following difficult birth. Which I'll do free, to 'give something back' :)

I'm very excited about it all but nervous and there's LOTS to sort out. Am joining ventures with a local pregnancy/baby yoga teacher and a sex therapist :happydance:

SL - my LO's having a whingey day too, can't seem to be able to put her down without her crying :nope:

MTA - my LO's constantly straining and trying to sit up and gets sooooo frustrated that she can't!

It's quite nice here - sunnyish and mild (for once!)

the landlord of the flat had secretly had the flat up for sale aswell as rent, he sold it behind the agency's back and they are raging, and so am i. I really wanted it :(

Oh no :(

Trust in 'everything happens for a reason' and hopefully a even more perfect one will come up for you!

Claire just aswell you didnt get really, may have been bit of a crafty bugger by the sound of it.
Our landlord is poor u certainly dont need that when youve got kids.

Claire - sounds like trying to rent a flat is a nightmare.

Elski - business idea sounds great, we did nct classes and they were really good. We got them cheaper cos I haven't been working but the full price is a lot, I would have gone for a cheaper alternative if there was one. Happy to give you my thoughts them if it would help.

My LO wants to skip sitting and go straight to standing up! We put him in a baby walker at the weekend, his feet wouldn't touch the floor but he was happily "stood" in it, feet raring to go!

Thanks, would LOVE to hear your thoughts! Am slowly compiling a questionnaire about peoples experiences/opinions if you wouldn't mind filling one in when I've finished?.... and anyone else here for that matter? :)

Of course, either post it on here or PM me it when you're done x

MTA, :haha: wont be long until they can sit up  Emilie loves sitting up
How are you?

Sweetlullaby, Sorry your tired :hugs:

Claire, that is crap :hugs::hugs: I agree with MTA he sounds a crafty bugger :hugs:

Elizabeth, your own business sounds good :flower:

yeah he does, but its just annoying cos it was here and right size etc. Iv only found 2 others suitable and that warrant a viewing, one is in the city, which is good in one way but quite far from mum and wouldnt be able to go to babygroup anymore n would be changing HV etc and all the rest. She said on the phone the landlord doesnt accept housing benefit tenants, but the guy i saw yesterday who showed me the flat said landlords are not actually allowed to refuse someone anymore because theyre on benefits. so im confused. The landlord wouldnt even know it goes into my acc then a standing order to pay the rent. :(

Awww claire :hugs: hopefully something will come along soon!!

Elski- that sounds really good and fullfilling not a job where you'd get bored!

Arg I've spent most of this morning ironing hundreds of baby clothes to put on here  im not kidding i could open my own shop from home

Matthew does that as well MTA pulls himself forward in his car seat etc like he wants to sit up and he wont lie on me anymore has to be sitting upright lol awwwwk thats really sweet amber trying to read hollie a story :)

Hello :hugs: well as ever I'm struggling to keep up! Lets see what I can remember:haha: Claire, I hope your Nan is ok and I'm sorry about the flat with the dodgy landlord. My MIL has a thing about weight and she used to weigh my eldest two every time they visited her! Once they got older they just refused to let her.

Leanne and Nic I'm so with you both on the whole pregnancy thing. Infact I'm driving myself mad thinking about it! Sad thing is that there is a good chance I won't actually have another..sigh..

SL I'm glad Matthew's injections went ok, Skyla had hers yesterday too-she was ok cried less than last time but sadly that only meant she did notice the second one this time! She was ok afterwards but very unsettled last night.

Elski the business idea sounds brilliant- I'm quite jealous wish I could do something like that! I'll be excited to hear how you get on with setting it up etc

MTA Skyla likes to 'stand up' all the time! Anything except lay against me, except when she's tired.

Lorna,Pink,Chuck and everyone else if I've missed anyone- i hope you are all ok :flower: :hugs:for all those beautiful LO's x x x

Claire sorry about the flat....that blows.

MTA sit? nope..stand yes! lol

Elski the world needs more of you! The NHS classes were boring and uninformative - the woman clearly had no training in how the present info and NCT classes could only be reached by car (we didn't drive at the time) and were expensive a middle ground would be perfect! I'd be happy to help Elski I had a pretty shitty hospital experience sandwiched by a great birthing centre- I had counselling and clinical negligence forms submitted by my community midwife.

I'm not broody yet but do miss looking pregnant if that makes sense - it was the first time in my life I felt feminine and sexy and was very proud of my body. Also I hadn't had the awful birth experience yet I was anxious but excited about it when I was pg now I look back and want to forget it. But there will be a 2nd babba (hopefully) and we want them close together.

Dewi went to hospital this morning to get his eyes checked and thankfully everything is present and correct and there is no sign of the eye condition I have! w00t!
