hi !
i just found out im preg! clearblue digital says 2-3 weeks which is 4-5 weeks preg! i've calculated an estimate of my due date which is december the 31st!
i really hope this is a sticky!
im going to wait till 12 weeks to have a scan, unless im in any pain or have anything to worry about.
i just want these next two months to go fast and well!! xx

I had my scan today (yesterday now I guess, as it's after midnight). Everything looked good! Baby is measuring perfect for my due date and we got to hear the heartbeat at 136! I was worried that was on the slow side, but my dr said it was good and after doing some searching on the Internet baby's hb starts a little slower than peaks around 9 weeks. Good luck to everyone that still has theirs coming up!!!

Hi ladies, just thought I'd introduce myself. This is the first pregnancy thread I've joined as just come off the tww. Am 4.5 wks along. Keeping positive it all goes ok, last 2 pregnancies were fine. Due date is somewhere around 27th/28th Dec, although have had 2 computer calculators tell me it's 29th and 30th. Guess I'll find out more later on. Now just sitting playing the waiting game. Can't wait til about 8 weeks. Have only told DH and my parents.

When do you think is the right time to tell people? I'm so excited and impatient, but also aware things can still go wrong this early. I know 12 weeks is what they usually tell you, but does anyone think 8 is too early? I'll definitely be keeping hush for now.

First doctors appointment today! I know it's going to be a complete anticlimax. All they'll do is refer me to the midwife. Still excited though.

Ecologirl - I've told me parents and a close friend. I'm going to tell other close friends as I need to. Not telling them would mean not going out. Our close freinds know we are TTCing so as soon as they see I'm not drinking they'll know.

My bro and SIL are 4 weeks ahead when my parents tell friends about them when they are 12 weeks and I'll them thell people about us too.

Congrats Msw, hearing the first heartbeat is such a special time (there are tears coming to my eyes as I type - God these hormones are a b**ch!)

Ecogirl we are around the same due date, this is also going to be my 3rd child (all going well). I know how you feel about telling people I am bursting but have only told my DH as had a chem pg last mth and gonna wait a while.

I actually don't think 8 weeks is too early, going on my last pg I won't have the option but to tell people as started showing v early but of course this pg could be very different tho already think that I'll be showing earlier rather than later.

Thats the great thing about here, while we may not be able to tell anyone at home (and I'm Irish so we are highly superstitious about telling early), we can talk away to our hearts content on this thread and bonus-we are all in the same boat so we totally know whats going on with each other.

Hey Ladies! I am due on December 3rd This is my 3rd pregnancy, the last 2 sadly ended in miscarriages; so I am hoping for my rainbow baby. I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 3 days and one at 7 weeks 4 days (150 bpm!) I go in for a checkup with my midwife on Thursday. Goodluck ladies

Hey congrats! im due 4th dec sorry to hear of ur losses i hope this is your rainbow baby, good luck for your midwife appt have you many symptoms?iv been so tired and really really sick and get occasional crampy feelings and lower back ache have you had any lower back ache or general achiness?im such a worrier about every twinge! lol

I'v had what feels like constant backache n a lot of cramping also - so much so that it kept me awake the other night but i also had that with my last pregnancy and he's 2 in a few weeks! The odd thing is when I was pg a few wks ago and lost I had no cramping at all until I mc'd - so could be a good sign (at least thats how I'm gonna look at it)

Thanks buster thats good to know you had that too with your other pregnancys i just panic because i have nothing to measure it on apart from the mc cuz i had a really sore back with that so i suppose i panic now! your right i am gonna look at it as a good sign too its hopefully just part of all the normal pregnancy aches n pains thanks again for the reassurance

My scan date was changed to Friday 4/27! I am so tired. Got home from work last night and fell asleep in the corner of the couch while DH was watching TV. He woke me up after about an hour wanting to know if I was going to be able to fall asleep later that night. I wanted to pop him and say "I would have slept through the night if you hadn't just woken me up right then!"

Hi Jezzelin, I had same experience with dr appt yesterday. Just got to wait a month now for midwife appt. I think I'll prob be doing the same as you. My DH's best mate and partner know we're ttc, so yeah can't hide knocking back the odd wine. Also trying to make excuses for the decaf tea at the mo. I think we'll definitely wait for everyone else.

That's really cool that your baby and it's cousin will be really close!

Thank-you! And congrats as well My biggest symptoms so far is being sooo incredibly tired, very nausous (havent vomited...yet), a lower back ache, and I think round ligament pain/stretching/slight cramps. I am right there with you with worrying about every little twinge lol, I over-analize it too much!

Hi, yes definitely! You're lucky you've got your scan date. My midwife appt isn't until 22nd May. Dying to know the sex. We found out my son's at 11 weeks, but he had it all on show! Don't think we'll find out so early this time.

So how old are you other kiddies? Are you hoping for boy or girl or don't mind? xo

Thanks Jess. It was very boring. The doctor didn't make me pee on anything. Just asked about family history and filled in a form so I could book with the Midwife. Booked for the 10th May. There was an appointment next week but not sure I could get out of work.

Hi. Think you got me and Jezzelin confused. It really is hard not to let on. We can't not go out of the next 2 months. I'm drinking redbush/rooibos tea which is nice and good for you. It doesn't have caffeine in it and full of anti-oxidants. It's nice with a drop of milk. The honey, vanilla and earl grey versions are nice.

I think if we head out I won't drink and my mates will probably realise but not ask. If they do ask I'll just tell them. My problem is I can't lie.

If I'm early and my SIL is late they could be born in the same week. My mum won't know what to do with herself!

Sorry Bean66 for confusing you. I could blame it on baby brain I suppose, but real reason is I'm fairly new to the forum. Still getting used to everything especially the abbreviations!

That happened to my Mums friend. Both her daughter in laws were due round same time and I think they ended up being only days part.

I'm shocking too, can't lie. Really wish I could tell everyone now! Oh well, a few more weeks to go.
