Thank u for taking the time to reply to my thread ...and congrats on your new pregnancy I figured this was the best place to find expectant mothers who became pregnant after a hsg.

I have been gone from this forum for about 6 months I took some much needed me time before tackling our infertility. This is our 22nd month ttc

I had my hsg done last Thurs it revealed a normal shaped uterus and 2 open fallopian tubes. . . I can't help but get excited about the increased chance of fertility I found one website where 40% of the women polled got pregnant the same month as their hsg. And by 6 months 100% of women polled .... got their bfp. After a hsg.

Just wondering if there are any mommies out there who became pregnant after their hsg. ..If so how long were u ttc and how soon after your hsg did you get your bfp .... and we're u on fertility meds at the time?

Looking for some hope....and comfort I believe I'm in the midst of ovulating and on the verge of what appears to be a very long tww.

I got my bfp the same cycle. Hsg showed a blocked right tube, which we knew already. We weren't on fertility meds at the time. Sadly I conceived on my right "blocked" side. The dye must have opened it up just enough for some swimmers to sneak through. Took 2 months after my surgery to recover then my third cycle after the hsg we got put on clomid and conceived that cycle after we were told we wouldn't. Good luck!

I didn't conceive after the standard HSG, but it showed one free flowing tube and 'inconclusive' on the other - no dye would flow through it. I was sent for Lap and Dye a few months later where they redid the HSG through laparoscopy surgery along with D&C and they said both tubes were now free flowing (they refused to say it was blocked!) I conceived the cycle after the lap and dye, but sadly miscarried and finally conceived 9 months later with the final round of clomid.

hang on to hope it can happen! x

hiya! I had been trying for 2 yrs after an ectopic pregnancy and tubal removal- I had the hsg dun which showed no blockage but a possible small build up which then flowed through micely- I ovulate every 3 months due to one tube so I became pregnant on the 1st ovulation afterwards (3 months)

buttt I will say one thing - they tell you there's a chance of multiples after a hsg- hey presto I'm having twins! currently 10 weeks preg :)

it will happen for you I had no meds or anything xxx

Thank u ladies so much for your kind words they have given me a sense of comfort and hope for these next couple weeks

Have you started down the infertility track yet or was this the start? We tried for 4 years before seeking help and I believe the hsg did help.

Well hsg is the beginning Idk how far we will go or when but it was a piece of mind for me now. I hope it does help. I'm praying so hard for it to work. Af is due in 5 days.

The HSG did not seem to make a difference for me. I showed normal and open like you. It was just done as the first step assessment before sending me to an RE.

The RE sent us for multiple tests, and everything came back that we had no serious issues that would be stopping us from getting pregnant.

The RE tried having us basically do timed trying with hcg shots each month to spike up my egg growth and release the egg 24 hours later. They do this with iui's sometimes, but he felt we didn't need an iui. He also had me taking progesterone after a certain day until I either started or was pregnant.

Well, my body ended up getting more messed up and for the first time in my infertility adventure I wasn't ovulating at all. I felt so disheartened because the perfectly timed ovulation seemed like all I had going for me.

We took a break for emotional reasons, as well to give ourselves a break financially.. specialist appointments and all the meds add up.

My body fixed the ovulation issue itself.

I ended up pregnant the next cycle after my ovulation fixed itself, without any assistance from the hormones, etc.

Sorry, I ended up writing a novel, but wanted to share my experience!
