Do you get excited?

I get excited but always end up disappointed as we end up doing nothing or I don't even get a present (well except from my mum, she still sends me something even though the family rule is no presents after 21, so that makes it slightly less disappointing)

Oh tasha such a sad memory on your birthday!

I get excited on my birthday because my dad and my dh always make it special.
Mil always takes me shopping in Milton Keynes for my present.
Dh takes me out for a special meal or night/ weekend away.
And I still get great presents from dh and my dad.
I hated birthdays as a child, on my 13th my mum last minute drove to the post office to buy a card and gave it to me in the card and said we would go shopping for clothes as a present. I never did get a present that year.
