We have never really gone all out for V-Day except maybe the 1st one. All we do is a card. I dont really see the point in it. I tell my OH i love him everyday.

All my friends think we are being tight because we dont buy each other presents!! :dohh:

We didn't do anything last year and we're not doing anything again this year. Last year LO was just a few weeks old and OH was working all day on our house so was tired. This year money is tight so it's not worth it.
Although the first year we were together (he was in the army and got home at about 8pm on valentines day so we celebrated on the 15th) he turned up at my house in a limo, took me for a lovely meal then we went out for drinks afterwards.
We just don't see the point anymore, we don't need to buy each other gifts to show we love each other.

Me!!!

Honestly I can't stand the over priced food just for one day, same goes for mothers/fathers day but I see that slightly different to valentines day.

And I feel there's something cheesy with everyone sat on a table for 2 gazing into each others eyes all there for the same thing.... The last time we went out for V day I just kept Imagining everyone going home to bonk.!!!

We don't do anything, not even cards. I'm a total bah humbug about it, but I think it's so commercialised and just a way for the shops to make more money. We don't need a special day, I think it's much nicer to get a present off your partner totally out of the blue, rather than 'just because it's valentines day'. But as I said, I am a total humbug! :haha:

I got my oh a card for £1 and some lindt chocolate for £2.50. We are staying in and he is cooking.

Eta. In Canada where I grew up valentines day is just as much a holiday for children as adults. Everyone gives every child in their class a small valentine card on the day.

Valentines day is my birthday and maybe it is selfish of me but I don't like sharing my birthday with other people and getting people gifts on that day...even my husband. He's cool with it though. In any case, with two kids and no nearby babysitters we can't exactly have a romantic dinner for two.

We always do pressies for valentines and dinner and drinks for our anniversary which is only a few weeks later.

Its mine and hubbys anniversary on 10th so we celebrate that instead :cloud9::kiss:

We don't really. The only people we buy for are they kids and I just bought them a bit of chocolate. I see it more as a fun day for the kids tbh.

We don't celebrate at all as it's DD's birthday (inconsiderate madam Lol) However we just make our wedding anniversary special :D

Nope, not even cards, probably wont even say Happy Valentines to each other, comercialised waste of money

We are going out for dinner tomorrow though, only as we have club card vouchers that need using up and tomorrow is the only day we both have free until after half term with out taking Lucas along, we are mean and want to pig out by ourselves :haha:

I will also buy my self a valentines cup cake as one of the mums at Lucas' ice hockey training makes and sells the most divine cakes and if she has them I always buy one, just so happens that it coincides with Valentines Day :flower:

We dont even do cards! As much as Id love the big bouquet of flowers, chocolates etc, my hubby just isnt like that and thinks its a waste of money. Weve been together 11 years and are still very much in love so as far as hes concerned thats enough. We'll both get up, go work, come home, have dinner, then I'll go to the gym. Come home, shower and bed. Very exciting :haha:

not big on it at all - I don't really like flowers or romance generally though

the worst thing is that it's our anniversary and we still don't see it as a biggie ahah

No, we don't do anything. I only realised it was V day when my sister mentioned it today. My OH isn't even here! He's at work for another week. He won't call to say happy V day and I won't be bothered!

It's just a commercialised day apparently made up by clintons to get more card trade :haha:.... actually not sure if that's just a rumour!

we dont bother but thats because hubby forgets and its kinder on my feelings if we just dont bother because he will allways forget and it upsets me

St valentine was real, so in a sense it's not a made up holiday it's a saints day

I would say its my fav holiday as I am a hopeless romantic

We do give each other a card. We don't do pressies or anything "special"

Nope its never appealed to me at all, the ONE year I ever half-heartedly celebrated it with an ex boyfriend I caught norovirus and puked on my bedroom floor later that evening. It seemed like a sign that Valentines is definitely not for me :haha:

oh you guyyysssss :haha:

In all honesty I actually find Valentines day a bit depressing. It is all so tacky and forced...I'm not really the romance type either tho.
