Due around 12th Aug, and looking for a bump buddy

yeh goes to show ironing is no good for anyone haha!

True!
I was ironing yesterday and all it gave me is a sleepless night- my hips where hurting so much after that I had to turn every 1/2 hour to the other side :(
And I managed to burn my hand :(
And some strong BH...

All my family decided to come visit me. My mum coming first, in the beginning of September, for 2 weeks, then My MIL is coming to "help" for 2 weeks and then my Uncle and Aunty are coming for a week in the beginning of October. When am I going to have some Hubby and Baby time? :dohh: It's going to be difficult.
Will your mums be helping you?

Wow Vera! You will have a house full!! We are having 1st week with definitely no visitors! Then the 2nd week DH is going back to work and my mum might come and stay for a couple of nights. Then the 3rd week DH is having his 2nd week off where his parents will come and visit. Planning on trying to spread them out!!

my mum is a savior for me, she always helps me out if i need her. i know she'll help me with the girls and things around the house but she wont crowd me, if i don't need her she'll leave me alone.
my dad and step-mum will be over from Australia for 10 weeks from the 17th aug. luckily they are not staying with us and have lots of plans for while they are here so i probably wont see overly alot of them but looking forward to spending time with them as i haven't seen them since we went to australia for christmas and new year 2008/2009.
i'm hoping dh's mum and partner don't crowd us too much, or his dad and wife, i would like to have them visit for half hour/hour and then leave us for a week to settle in to our new routine, especially as this is dh's first child.

I keep thinking I will burn my belly as it's so close to the ironing board now! How is your hand now? Burns are horrible :hugs:

Hope you have both had a good Sunday

Aloe Vera plants are amazing for burns! I have burnt myself so many times (especially since being pregnant) on the shelf in the oven and have rubbed the stuff from inside the plant on the burn bit and have had no blisters and the pain goes away! It's like magic!!
Had pretty busy Sunday - put shelf up in baby's room finally! Put pictures up and mirrors etc that had been waiting to go up. Had a day of getting things sorted. Kitchen worktops getting done today - they were supposed to be done last week but they sent the wrong ones so ended up having to reorder. Will hopefully all be finished by end of tomo and we will have gas back on :)
Got the flight socks on - I think they are helping. I can move my ankles!!! xxx

Chelsea, rebecca, how do you feel today girls?

Nothing here... but I am 37 weeks this Wednesday!! I went to the town centre and after 30-40 min of walk I was in so much pain and so much pressure down there... I even thought my water going to break... lol

My mum Is ok, I can somehow talk to her and explain that she is bait too much, but she love to give unwanted advices. My Aunty is great, she said she will only help if I ask. but I am terrified of my MIL. I can't speak with her (she speaks portuguese) and I am so afraid she will be over the place, doing things on her own without even asking me...:dohh: It will not end good! :gun:

Those is great that the flight socks help you. And can't wait to see those pics of your nursery! I am sure its brilliant. I am still decorating mine. :dohh:

Also very lucky with my mum in that I can tell her straight with how I'm feeling. Told her the other day that her phone calls every day were getting a bit much! Had a lovely text from my step mum this morning saying that I will be fine and that our bodies are meant to do this etc.
MIL is a little overpowering!! FIL is so lovely a chilled out. They have surprised me loads tho recently and said that if we want they can just visit for the day and go again and considering it takes them 2/3 hours drive to get here I thought that was lovely of them to think that we might not want ppl staying etc. They said to just let them know.
Just need to put the mountain of baby clothes away then I will post up some pictures!
Flight sock are still working!!! :)

Morning, how are you feeling today? Any excited news from this night?

Nothing here. Even my BH are almost gone... :(

nothing here either.

I've resigned myself to the fact he's not going to come early and i'll just have to wait :-(

Not long dear... only 6 days to go for you. I am sure your boy will come out at 40+3!
I don't know why... just a feeling.

I am constantly thinking- oooo, I have so much time still to go, so I am taking it easy.

Took dogs out last night when it had finally cooled down! Had really strong sharp pains - took some paracetamol and they went away so again wasn't anything major exciting!! I really think mine thinks about it every now and again and then completely changes his mind!!! hahah!

when i do walk any sort of distance i do get bh's but also a constant pain that feels like a stitch in my bump. it's soo annoying as it stops me walking too far, plus my back starts aching and my hips/pelvis!! how am i suposed to get a good walk in when everything else hurts apart from contractions!!! argh! :growlmad:
i want this baby OUT!!! :baby:

Also i had been lucky that i got no new stretchmarks until this week!!! WTF!! now i have new ones appearing daily! i'm done with being pregnant now! :growlmad:

Went to mw today. Got a sweep booked for next wednesday :-) hopefully it won't be needed though! Fingers crossed!!

How are you both doing?

I know - it's hard when everything is hurting! What are those stitch pains all about!!! Also having pains that feel like really really really bad trapped gas!!! My mw wont do a sweep until 41 weeks! Hoping I won't have to have one - apparently they are pretty uncomfortable! x

Yea I've never had one but was never offered one. My mw said I can request one from edd but they won't offer until 41ish. I hope I don't need mine either but thought I'd give it a try ay??!

Congrats on reaching term Vera :happydance:

Thanks, Finally we are here... 37 weeks...:happydance:

I went for a very long walk, was walking in the town centre with a friend, we walked around 1 and a half hours, all I got is some pains down there... grrr

Went to mothercare, they have sale. bought a photo frame for Liams room and got another one for free. My mum really liked it so she said she want one for her house (with Liams pici). So overall 2 frames for £5... :happydance:

I was also told by my MW that they can offer a sweep only from 41 weeks, and induction only from 42 weeks :(
I am so tired, hope I will not go over 40 weeks.

I have just walked to the beach with dh for an ice-cream and then walked to the pub for dinner and then home! My feet, back, hips and bump are killing :-( if nothing starts from it I'm not going to be impressed! Even dh is knackered! (we are not active people).

Induction is offered here at 12 days late so 41+5.
