Still a sac with two yolks but the yolks are now enlarged (7mm and 9mm) and no visible fetal pole. The sucky thing is that my hcg is still rising so my body does not realize the pregnancy is not viable. I will have one more scan next Thursday just in case a fetus is hiding somewhere and I already scheduled a d&c for Monday the 17th. I would love to move forward with the next scan and d&c this Monday but I will be out of town for a wedding. My doctor did say to drink and have fun. In the slight or almost non-existent chance there is a viable pregnancy one night of drinking won't do any harm. I love my doctor

If the pregnancy is viable the enlarged yolk often indicates chromosome abnormalities. I would rather this pregnancy not be viable than have a child with severe challenges. Of course I will love a child no matter what but I want my kids to have the easiest life possible.
