I am not too sure which thread to join, so joining you all here. I am new to this forum, here's a little introduction of myself.

MMC in Jan 2013 (6 weeks)
TTC since Nov 2013
Seeing a Fertility Specialist since Aug 2014
Hormones ok though low on Vitamin D and high on insulin
Husband's SA ok

Next up is HSG, on 1st Oct, CD10. Will be a day after yours Floridasian. Hope we can be buddies in this journey. Heard lots of women get BFPs after HSG.

Zen, welcome!

This is a great thread to join. We are all going through different things, & a lot of us have been at this longer than others, so we have plenty of experience. I hope the HSG gets you a positive!

Good luck on your HSG, Zen! I know it's hard not to be nervous. I've already done it once and I'm still a little bit nervous but I'm sure you'll be fine!

Hey zen GL! I have seen a lot of bfps after an hsg! It can clear out the cobwebs so to speak lol.

Since it's a little bit slow here today I'll share something from my RE's office yesterday.

At one of the exam rooms there is a wall of dozens and dozens (maybe over 100?) of baby pictures sent in by women who my RE's office helped conceive. Yesterday when I was in there I noticed that the wall was now bare. All the pictures were gone. I thought maybe they were taken down because they were full (they had started a second wall for the overflow). At the end of my appointment I asked my doctor what happened to all the baby pictures. He said they got a letter and apparently according to some HIPPA rules they weren't allowed to put up other people's private pictures without their written consent. I said, "but they sent the pictures to YOU!" and he said, yes, but apparently it needed to have "written consent", because the return address on the envelope with a thank you note is just not enough. I thought that was pretty ridiculous! I said I was looking forward to having our picture on there one day.

He said some angry person probably reported them. I was thinking maybe some bitter infertile person who couldn't stand looking at baby pictures did that?

Again pretty ridiculous in my opinion!

Wow that is super crazy! I love looking at those pictures, it gives me hope that one day my baby will be up on that board! Those people worked hard physically emotionally and financially to get pregnant and they just want to show the happiness that they received at the end of the journey. Thats just sad.

I read an article about that a few weeks back that the baby pics will be disappearing from the walls of doctor's offices given the new restrictions/requirements. At the moment my doc still has baby pics up and I too can not wait for the day when I can go on the wall looking for the pic of my little one

My dr does this as well...so maybe it is okay if you send it with a written consent? I will have to check out the wall tomorrow when I go...I may ask the reception if they heard anything.

It is slow at work today too...ugh...I plan to get out of here at 4:45. I usually leave at 5. You wouldn't think such a big deal, but my banker can be a bit anal. Not like I take off early all the time. Besides, my excuse today is I skipped lunch. I am just ready to be home on the couch with my husband...it is gloomy outside & we have some great leftover pasta at home!

Short update. Follicle check yesterday...only 1 dominant. I was told to trigger yesterday morning or night. But i did it this morning at the slight chance others might catch up. Negative opk this morning...positive by this evening. I should O tomorrow night. BD last night and tomorrow night. Not expecting much.

I should hear about the grant Wed. Then I will be waiting for AF so I can start ivf.

One dominant follicle probably corresponds to the lower dosage of follistim you had this cycle. One dominant follicle also doesn't mean that there aren't other mature follicles.

Either way, let's hope these are good quality follicles and will give you a BFP!!

That's true. I sort of wish I had waited another day. She said not to wait because I may O before then...but pretty sure not the case since I had had bigger ones before & they held off until trigger. I think my smaller ones were 12...I kept thinking 14 but my husband said last night she said 12. So with 2 mm a dy growth & the trigger, I could have gotten more. I am feeling the cramping start.

aug 20 was my las af.

on cycle day 41

af comes every 28 days so should of got it on sep 16

ov- sept 2-8( which we did days before that and during that time as well)

i had very very very light spotting sept 22-24 had liner on but was mostly when i wiped( sorry tmi)
usually when i have af its very heavy, so im really confused

took test on cd 35, 38 both BFN- not sure what to do.

have major bloating, smell things more, very tired all the time.

Help..

Did they give you any follow up instructions? I would call & let them know you are still waiting & see what they advise.

Vanessa - there are other possibilities (if not BFP) and other treatments available in addition to a simple blood test.
