Fall is here...now to plant my little pumpkin seed!!!

Hi All! Jumping in with you. We have been TTC over 2 years now....although you might say more like NTNP because we're not great at having regular sex.

Anyhow. The clock is ticking! I'm 31 and my husband is 33 and everyone around us is pregnant, including my little sister and my sister-in-law will likely be pregnant with their second any day now.

I had some spotting yesterday and assumed it was CD1 but I'm actually a bit early so who knows what that was....but I'm going to go buy some OPKs and get ready for SMEP this month. AF usually shows up around the 1st of the month VERY regularly so I suppose it could be any day now. We definitely missed the boat this month. Our BD was limited.

Husband has been tested already and we have an appointment with a specialist in November and I assume they'll check me out. Hopefully I can cancel that appointment!!!! That appointment is scheduled for approx. Day40 so that should give me enough time to know what's going on. :D

I hope your appointment is not needed! But if it is, I hope it is an easy fix. Me & my husband also have an issue with keeping up with the bd schedule.

Lots of twinges on both sides today...hoping this means the femara is hard at work! Injections start tomorrow...this has been a fast week. But I am sure my TWW will be terrible!

Sounds like some strong follies developing in there, beaglemom! Good luck!! :)

Welcome and good luck with your appointment! It's especially hard everyone around you is pregnant!

Welcome crazycatlady (love that name :)) and ttc2014. GL to you both this month. Hopefully you'll be sharing some BFP announcements with us shortly.

Thank you!!!! May the baby dust be with us all! Af is due somewhere between Sept27 and oct. 1.....fin gers crossed!

I'm waiting for a call back from my RE's office to see if I can get my HSG scheduled before going to see the doctor on Thursday. With my early ovulation I'm scared there would be any appointments left for HSG this cycle if I wait till Thursday to schedule it.

I love that show beagle! I watched the entire first season. Then we switched to HBO and Starz :( So going to have to wait until it come out on Netflix. The Stork made me think of that show as well. And his was SUPER low.

Test this morning was a negative... So no more progesterone for me! And only 1 more IUI for us then I am done. I know that my situation is different with the 2 before being prior to surgery and diagnosis of PCOS. But I am doubtful of it even working at this point. I had a major melt down Friday because we are stuck. IUI isn't working and IVF is years away from us. I want to be doubt free except for house and car(s) before we get a loan for IVF. Makes me really sad that we are going to have to basically stop TTC. Going to talk with RE about this also.

Hello newcomers!!

Hello newcomers!!

Well you def need to google some IVF grants...there are quite a few out there...doesn't hurt to try.

I'm so sorry Michelle about the negative test and you might have to wait for IVF. It's just not fair that it can be so easy for some people yet so hard for others. The amount of money we spend on TTC is probably enough for others to raise their kids till 10!

You have something that I do not - time! You're still young so if you do decide to wait a few years before starting IVF you still have a great chance with it!

My doctor just called me back HIMSELF! He's putting the order in for me for the HSG! Yay! I've never been so happy for a medical procedure! LOL!

Hello newcomers!!

So sorry to hear how this month turned out for you. I too am wary of IVf as it will completely deplete all of our savings. Funny enough, I just got a call from my bank offering an increased credit limit (nearly double exisiting limit) with a much lower rate. I would normally say no right away but told the lady I'd thnk about it and get back to her because I am now thinking to accept the increase to assist should IVF be the route we end up taking.

Florida-I totally agree on the amount of money we spend ttc. I am paying everything out of pocket so it is ridiculous to think of the amount I spent so far. One month I decided to start tracking all bills-tests, meds, scans etc and ended up stopping after the number kept rising and I started to get a bit depressed. GL on your HSG as well. That's normally early in the cycle right? (I've had this done twice)

Yes the HSG has to be done before ovulation. This will be my second one. Since I got my BFP last time right after the HSG naturally I'm excited about doing another one! :)

Thanks ladies. It just stinks this is how it worked out. I don't even feel like trying one more IUI. I really don't. I asked DH if he was ok with that and he didn't answer me really. Just kept repeating I don't know. Which doesn't help at all! I think he is scared that if he says no I might fall apart or if he says yes I might get mad. This has made me a way more emotional person then I normally am. But I guess we will see when AF shows what he says and how I feel then. I have a feeling she will be here today. I have some serious cramps right now which sucks while I am at work. And I only have Tylenol with me which doesn't cut it. So not a happy camper right now lol

Floridasian I missed your post about the progesterone. I feel the same way. I am like what is going on down there LOL. Like you said you cant help it either. And great news about the HSG!! When is it set for?

Michelle - I think you should def consider skipping the next IUI...give you a guys a break & time to regroup. Another idea is when a vehicle is paid off, take that money & either set it aside or get a loan & make that your new payment. I do not even pretend to know about your finances, but I look at IVF as the price of a used car...so you could easily pay it off in 5 years. But I also know the burden all the debt can have...& when you are making payments all over, it can seem like you are getting nowhere. So you guys should just sit down with your finances & figure out what works. Look in to the IVF grants & just apply, apply, apply!!! Look in to 401K loans (not withdrawals). Mine offers a pretty low rate...I think like 5%. Also maybe a home equity loan which offers low rates. You have so many options. And I think really sitting down with everything will help piece it all together.

Those are some really good advices, beaglemom! We'll have to look into it as well if we have to go down that road!

Just got back from my CD3 appointment. There are now more smaller fibroids growing on top of the main fibroids but since none of them are pushing into the uterine cavity or obstructing the tubes my RE doesn't think they need to be dealt with.

No premature follicle development today so he doesn't think I'd ovulate early.

I asked about the injectable meds and he said we'd better wait for the results of the HSG first since they are expensive ($500-$1000). His usual protocol is Femara for 4 cycles then move to injectables. He did increase my dosage to 7.5 mg this cycle.

We'll see what happens at the HSG!

Floridasian, check in to you prescription coverage. You may have aleady done that. But mine covers meds with a co-pay...a high co-pay but at least it is something.

So started my follistim last night. I am supposed to take 225...but I over estimated the amount I have left. So I took 200 & it seemed to use up half of what was left! So I will do 150 tonight & the rest tomorrow. We will just have to see what happens on Saturday at my scan.
