Sorry to everyone else I've not commented on. I've been reading posts but staying away from bnb as much as possible as the green layout was hurting my eyes and I was silently protesting. I've switched to one of the older skins now but it's been so long since I used it last I'm having to get used to it all over again. I don't do well with change *sigh*. But it's at least easier to read so I'll try to be back commenting again.



I've been testing daily and last night (10dpo, maybe 11dpo if FF was right about my ovulation) I got a shadow of a line. The test strips I got are super skinny and between that and my phone being crap I can't capture it on camera at all. I'm too nervous to test today in case it's just an evap. But it also reminded me again why I didn't want to be testing early - I only wanted to see lines that are unmistakably a BFP. I might test again tonight cause my evening lines are historically always better than my morning ones but I'll try to hold out til tomorrow.

If FF pegged my ovulation correctly then AF is due today but I think I ovulated the day later which would make AF due tomorrow. Oh please oh please don't come.

But it also reminded me again why I didn't want to be testing early - I only wanted to see lines that are unmistakably a BFP. I might test again tonight cause my evening lines are historically always better than my morning ones but I'll try to hold out til tomorrow.

If FF pegged my ovulation correctly then AF is due today but I think I ovulated the day later which would make AF due tomorrow. Oh please oh please don't come.

Think I'll give it a few more days before I get added as bfp. Just want to see if my lines darken up more. Hope that you see a good line if and when you test again fx for you!!

So for me it's cd 17, we dtd on 14,15, and 16!! I'm out of opks but based on my last few cycles I should ovulate today. I'm still not fancying my chances as been so stressed, not eating well and I'm now also on antibiotics as I've managed to get an infected thumb nail. Anyone any experience good or bad with conceiving on antibiotics? I very rarely take them, like I can't even remember having them as an adult so they are making me feel a bit weird.
I guess I'm hoping that somehow it might miraculously help by lowering my immune system and letting implantation happen. Clutching at straws lol x

Right at the very bottom of the page (below all the ads) there's a drop down screen with three different skin options. But as a warning, I can't figure out how to change it back lol.

So sorry about the infected thumb . If you aren't already, make sure you take a good probiotic as well (not at the same time obviously. A couple hours after the antibiotic is generally good.)

Can understand you being nervous about testing again.
Really hope when you do, you get a clearer line.
I sometimes wonder about waiting for AF to test, but tbh I find testing earlier and it being BFN, I find I can get over that initial sadness after a few Days, so B4 AF even starts.
I normally always get lines at 10dpo when pregnant. That’s with viable and non viable. So usually if bfn at 10dpo then I know I’m out, and will be bummed. But usually by 13dpo I feel a bit better and just wait for AF,
But with that chemical last cycle I didn’t get lines until 13dpo. Never happened b4.
Hoping the next time I get lines tho it will be at 10dpo latest. And praying it will be sticky for us both Lovely

Hopefully ovulation has happened or is about to, so annoying to run out of OPKs. Do you get any typical ovulation signs?
Like pains and ewcm etc?

hmm I’m not sure if antibiotics will interfere or not. I wouldn’t think so.

with regards to symptoms. Not much and pretty sure I’m going to be out but that’s me being a negative Ninny haha.

5dpo
Felt very tired, and felt a bit sick. But did not feel like pregnancy sickness. not that wave of neasea you get in pregnancy.
Just felt sick, lasted about half hour,

6dpo
Ibs flared up, but been a bit constipated.
So was Getting cramps all night and all day, way low down around the utro area and sharp pains in ovaries but pretty sure it’s just poop pains and my ibs. TMI have been to the loo so so much.

Peeing loads
Felt sick again on and off for about a hour.
But again did not feel like pregnancy sickness.

occasional itchy boobs but only right.

Niggly headaches. Not helped by a big and painful spot on my forehead,
And that’s about it.
No bloat like last cycles chemical,
I was bloated pretty much from 1dpo right the way through the 2ww.
so pretty sure it will be BFN.
Probably test from 8dpo but I’ve never ever had a BFP that early b4. But have lots of tests so why not lol.
AF due around the 7th or 8th March. 8th if I don’t start until 17dpo again.
Just going to expect BFN for now tho.
Pretty sure it will be. But you never know I mite get a huge shock.
Just hope if I do. It will be a very very sticky and healthy big shock ha

I don’t want to get your hopes up, but they sound like great signs! I had a similar sickness it wasn’t nausea but I kept swallowing for about an hour just felt sickly each day! Oh my fingers are crossed so hard for you!!

CD 12 for me. I don't think I will ovulate this cycle. Last month when I had my chemical pregnancy, my high and peak OPK lasted 36 hours. This cycle, my OPK had only one high reading and time from high to peak only lasted 18 hours.
I know I am being negative, but I think recent COVID is going to prevent my ovulation this cycle.
Bummed.
According to PreMom app today is ovulation day, CD 12. We BD on CD 6, 9, and 11. Only time will tell, but I feel already feel out.

really hope you do ovulate. Have you ever considered trying temping? It’s a great way to show if you ovulate.

I was on antibiotics for tonsillitis a week before I conceived dd4. I don’t think will have any effect on your chances hun. Hope the infection clears quick. That sounds horrible and painful.

Oh about the antibiotics, I've just remembered (at 2am when I should be sleeping ha!) that as antibiotics make birth control pills ineffective there are quite a lot of accidental conceptions as a result. I really do t think it will hurt any chances as a result.

@NDH yeah I saw that when I was googling that they can affect birth control. Mine is flucloxacillin which is penicillin. I did tell the doc I was ttc and she said it was fine to use even if I were to get pregnant. I've not thought about a probiotic sounds like a good idea though, I would have thought after the course was finished though rather than with it? Not sure. Fxd for your next test!!

@Laurabub84 ooh I wonder if the antibiotics helped in any way? Like I say I'm clutching at straws hoping they might help or at least not hinder.
It's amazing how suddenly feeling in with a chance can affect your mood lol. @Suggerhoney I haven't noticed much cm and when I do think I feel ov pain it's very mild just a twinge. It's been a busy week and I've not paid too much attention I'm just going to have to assume I ov'd cd 16-17 and go from there. Payday tomorrow so will be stocking up on opks and hpts. I have been super in the mood this month which is unlike me, we've dtd 4 days in a row now so that's gotta be bases covered I just need to get on to book in for his sperm analysis as other than my googling I can't get an official follow up until he's done his test and he's dragging his heels on it. He's happy to do it he just doesn't get round to booking it in. It's a train journey away for us too so it is a hassle.
I've also got a breast exam booked for a scan as I have fibroadenoma and I feel one lump has got bigger. I don't think it's anything to worry about but it's playing on my mind.

Ive always preferred to take probiotics right from the start of my antibiotics even though it may seem like a waste when the next dose of antibiotics will wipe them all out again. It keeps my gut flora from being totally depleted in the meantime and takes less time to build back up after the antibiotics - or at least it feels that way anyway as I had more tummy issues and always end up with a yeast infection after antibiotics before I started taking the probiotics from the first day.

I don't really know anything about how to temp. And honestly, my sleep schedule is not really regular enough where I think I could temp consistently at the same time. Do any of you use some sort of wearable basal body thermometer?
I have thought about it before, but if I am honest, I am even getting a bit tired of doing OPK after 12 cycles.
I am kind of wavering at the point of not wanting to track for a while and just go unprotected when the mood strikes instead of timing sex.

I think I am now 1 dpo, at least according to the PreMom app. Last cycle with the chemical pregnancy I had strong ovulation cramps, this cycle I didn't really feel anything, save maybe a few pinching twinges yesterday evening that I wasn't sure was intestinal versus ovary.

I know I have been a broken record about it, but I am still so doubtful of my ability to ovulate or have any chance this cycle. Stupid COVID.
