February mummies 2011 <3

Hi ya everyone, hope your all ok.

Hope your feeling better about things this week wine?

Welcome back rachael.

11oz, Demi has only gone up to 6 oz a couple if days ago. Ha ha, each to there own!

Demi is now grown out of her 0-3 months, the clothes are short in the arms and legs, I swear she has grown over night.
Demi's bottles have teat 2 on. I bought my eldest teat 3 and I kept on trying her on them right up until I took her bottles away- she just kept chocking. Hopefully Demi will be different?

Where do you all look in here? Baby club?

i literally don't use these forums anymore at all other than this one thread lol! i spend most of my time on my studentmidwife forums as i'm one of the education officers

speaking of which if anyone has an interesting birth story they wouldn't mind sharing (anonomously of course) we do this thing called catch of the week, where someone has kindly volunteered their birth story and the moderators let the story unfold bit by bit over 7 days until the end and all the students can comment saying what they'd do etc its a really good learning tool for us which is why we're always on the look out for interesting scenarios!

sounds complicated but this is an example of the week where we used joshuas birth story

https://www.studentmidwife.net/stud...the-day-76/54125-smnet-catch-week-25-4-a.html

as you can see we make up names to protect identity etc - so if anyone fancies voluneteering please let me know :D

and no jem i'm not feeling very good at all - having some very rough days but just trying to squish it down and act happy and normal for everyone. tried to talk to OH about it but he doesn't really get it just thinks it's normal (probably doesn't help as I've always been very over emotional etc)

Wine, have you thought about talking to the doctor? Sounds like it may be a touch of pnd? You really want to jump on it before it gets too bad, you have do much going on hon. :hugs:

YOu can use my birthstory if you like, not v exciting bushe had static weight then weight loss + tongue tie (which might or might not be part of it)

you can have my homebirth story if you want wine but not sure its interesting enough to span a week !

jembug i mostly read this thread and the natural parenting forums occasionally look in baby club

i got a week to go till ds2's birthday i need to get wrapping etc ..stress

Aw wine sorry to hear you're feeling low...as Lucky says maybe it'd be fir the best if you talked to your doctor? It does sound like PND :( hugs x

As for the amounts don't forget O is nearly 16 weeks so who knows where your los will be in a month! He doesn't do 11 all the time mostly 8 or 9 but even so!

Jem, I've got a few journals I follow, as well as my own, plus baby group and formula feeding that's pretty much it for me.

Wine you can use my birth story if you want, undiagnosed back to back, epidural, ending in forceps. Can't remember if it's in my signature but can send you the link if you want?

Hello everyone, hope all is well xx

Lily is now 14 weeks today and she had her 2nd lot of injections this morning. So far she is fine but last time it was the next day she was affected.

Well ladies, I have caved in and started her with creamy porridge just once a day at 6pm and she loves it! She is just not interested in her bottles - she has about 4 or 5 bottles a day between 4 and 6oz each, I've moved her to 3 hole teats and she still thrashes about and just chews on the teats.

She is a very active baby and loves her jumperoo and bumbo and plays/chews all her toys. She sits and watches her Baby Bright DVD and laughs along with it.

She still doesn't like going in her cot until 10/10.30pm (I think it's because it's completely dark then) and she sleeps through generally till 7am, but last night she had a rubbish sleep and woke up several times

Anyway, here's some photos of her eating her porridge:

awww she looks like she is enjoying it . H has her injections tomo too :(

Aww Josie, she does look happy. lol. I have to admit, I can't wait for Lennie to start having foods. I'm just really excited about cooking it.........ha ha I wonder when the novelty will wear off on that one.

Wine, I'll volunteer for the birth story thing too. Sounds interesting! Hope you are ok. x

Sorry i disapeared again girls, More bad news spent last 8 days bk in our usual place hospital again :(, Corey got bad infection from being in hospital so much in the first place.

Also they more concerned that the severe reflux isnt that at all as he is on massive amounts of meds that aint worked, Definatley been diagnosed as Lactose intolarent too, He had to have a brain ultrasound today was bloody awful, He is on home leave now for 5 days then heading bk in he only weighs 9lb 14 bless him.

Hope every ones ok . x

Chilly is your little legs on Neocate ? Corey on that it stinks and is horrid when he throws it up on me as they havent solved the sickness yet.

Thinking of you and Corey must be so tough :hugs: :hugs:

I'm the same Josie I started my Lo on porridge well she smiled right through it, she weights 15lb now and is only on the first milk but really long toes popping through 3 to 6 months babygrow :haha: so she is in 6 to 9 now and she is only 15 weeks lol her check up went great she even showed off doing tummy time with her head so high and string fir the nurse haha

I'm still very teary so the herbal tablets I'm taking aren't helping so going to need some stronger med, it's a horrible time to feel like this wen all u want to do is enjoy your baby and family. I can't just grin and bear it anymore :(

Thinking of you mummy xx

Juicy - Lily is long as well, still in 3-6 months but not for long I think lol. She's been really miserable this afternoon due to injections and she was sick a couple of hours ago. Finally have got her off to sleep now though

Mummy madness it still could be gerd around 5-10% of cases can't be fixed with medication and needs small surgery

Joshuas been crying full on since 7pm my head is killing, I've take. Too many paracetamol to try and cure the headache lol

I've only just worked out that it's because he's contipated :(

Thanks girls, Its Been Bloody hard if it wasnt for my mum and family helping with the other 3 would be hell.
Already looking at lactose free foods when we come to weaning that looks hard to.

At the moment he has had Brain ultrasound,Barium meal test,Kidney scan,Stomach ultrasound,Umpteen blood tests,Stools samples and test feeds and reduced feeding regimes has had antibiotics by drip and is having a ph test next week wich were really dreading, Is on Neocate Milk, Donperdione,Gel thickner,Omeprizole.

He still bring up about 2 ounces out of a 4 ounce bottle, The only thing that has stopped is the constant screaming, He screams when he feeds and after until he stops been sick but the screaming inbetween has stopped thank god.The other kids have suffered we have noticed small things like our daughter crying all the time our 2nd youngest gone to having dummies (He never had one in his life) and our middle son is behaving bad at nursery but were muddling through best we can.

My only worry has been the drs here said after the ph test if it does not show severe reflux then it could be a rare gene dissorder and will be sent to specialists at sheffield childrens hospital.

Sorry for waffling lol,.xxxxx

Hugs for you mummy. :hugs: I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this.

As for the board I mostly come here first and then I'll pop into the homebirthing thread still just to see if any of my 'ol girls have popped. That will probably die down as there's only really one more left. After that if I have time I'll hit up the natural parenting forum, though really I just can't seem to chat in there like I can in other places. Sometimes I just don't think I'm natural enough to fit it, lol. Then I either go to the post natal section, though that's dieing down as well as it's the same stuff over and over again. And now recently I've visted the formula feeding forum. That all being said, I haven't been on any of those for like 5 days. lol.

Phoebe has her jabs on thursday. I keep debating on getting her calpol or not. I don't really like medicines and all that for myself let alone for her. I figure it'll just be a cuddlelishous day. Have any of you gotten by without giving their LO it?

Yes, because everytime we try to give calpol to her she throws it straight up. We just have to make do with cuddles aswell x

Nah joshuas not had ant yet but just because he didnt seem too bad after the jabs? He didn't sleep well but he didn't have a temp so I didn't bother.

That being said I do like calpol and always have a bottle in the house incase it's needed

Wow it got busy here!

So sorry to hear about Corey Mummy. I really hope they can find out what to do soon. He may grow out of the lactose intolerance, I know some do. Big hugs to all yr family.

I have a journal and I follow other girls journals, they are good for a chat! One has a baby born the day before Izzy and has similar experiences which is great. If I'm really bored I go to "unread posts" which brings up all sub forums and you never know what you'll find!! Like jenni I am finding the same old questions coming up...
