Hi ladies...

I know that a lot of women in LTTTC have male factor infertility so I thought I would make a thread for those of use with female factor infertility.

Today I am having trouble not feeling like all of this is my fault so I was hoping to find some others who are in the same boat.

Any takers?

Me!!! My hubby is fine but I don't ovulate. Had 4 rounds of clomid with scan and if I've had a follicle big enough I've also had a HCG jab then sent away to BD!! Still didn't work so I completely feel this is my fault though noone can tell me why I don't ovulate on my own as my LH and FSH levels are normal.

Hi ya, I have severe endometriosis and have been TTC for 13 months. Starting Clomid next cycle although my body has decided not to ovulate yet this cycle typically.

xxx

Me too!!! My DH's spermies have the fertility specialists wanting to shake his hand!!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS but after my loss in August the string of pearls I had in scans aren't there anymore so it does at least look as though my body is starting to balance out.

Men are so lucky, they just get to sit back at wait for the bfp. We have to give up drinking (or at least for two weeks every month) worry about going to gym incase we raise our core body temperature (my excuse for the wait gain!!!)
and make sure we don't eat blue cheese or sushi!

We went for our #2 of IUI on the 4th Nov and it didn't work and now the secondary folicle is overstimulated so we are going to have to wait until January.

What treatments are you two on?

I have done 5 rounds of Clomid. I O'ed once last month and did trigger shot + IUI but :bfn:.

I am just not responding to ovulation meds and the doctor thinks I can give it one more shot next month but then I am on to IVF. It is not financially feasible for us to do shots and IUI when it is all paying out of pocket.

I just feel so guilty knowing that it is going to take a couple of years to come up with the sort of money that we need for IVF and it is all on my side. If only my damn ovaries would wake up! It would make life so much easier!!!! :hissy:

Thanks ladies for helping me know that I am not alone out there! :hugs:

I have what I guess you could call mild FF?? I ovulate but on my 3rd laparoscopy the FS found I had mild endo, he said that it prob wouldn't have affected anything but he removed it anyway. I also had a large uterine septum which he removed. This is something that would've made it difficult for an embryo to implant and would most likely have resulted in repeated MC's. Our main prob is def MF, but I had a few little probs before I was all fixed.

I just want to say that even if it feels like it, it is NOT your fault. I know that doesn't take away how you feel, but to me, blame is something that can really only be placed on someone who purposefully did something wrong, and none of you girls have done that :hugs:

UNFORTUNATELY, it is me........
No O, No AF, No cycle, im overweight, im a scared women with one stillbirth to show for it...
I never had problems, always regular AF, always had EWCM... and now nothing.....

I have mild PCOS and am on my first round of Clomid - been ttc since March 07 (20 looooooooong months) and hubbies spermies all checked out ok so completely understand how you feel....

I also have this feeling that the MIL can't help but think I am going to result in her wonderful son never holding his own child - heap on that pressure!!!

Feeling completely fed-up this week :(

I've PCOS and haven't had a natural period since March, So no Ovulation either.

It's very hard not to blame myself for all the stress and tests and down days I put me and my husband through. I guess at times like that you have to look at yourself from someone elses eyes. Then it's easier. Because if I see someone whose situation mirrors my own I wouldn't for one moment blame that person. So I shouldn't really blame myself either.

My journey is a drop in the ocean compared to some of you ladies. I hope you get some kind of break from this crazy limbo soon. God knows it's deserved. x

Hi Nathyrra... question for you as I have PCOS too and no natural periods or ovulation.

Did they put you birth control to try to regulate your periods or because you were trying to avoid pregnancy?

Also, did you have regular periods as a kid and they have just not returned or were they always abnormal? :hugs:

I used to have regular periods growing up, went on birth control at 17 to avoid pregnancy, taken a couple of breaks over the years. have noticed my cycles get a little lazy over the years but didn't think much of it at the time. I'm not actually sure why this is happening now and didn't originally used to be this way.

My other 'symptoms' of PCOS have always been with me though, only do they get better when on Birth control. Only thing different to usual that I've noticed over the last year is alot of weight gain in the mid section, when I've always been very skinny.

Is this something that came about over time for you too? or has your experience been different? Bodies are so complicated sometimes, can't figure mine out >.<

Well, my periods were never ever ever normal. I think the most AF's I ever had in one year naturally was MAYBE 3... I have the hair growth and middle section weight gain which has only gotten worse in my mid-20's which is annoying. I used to hope that things would get better but it is only getting worse as the years go one. SUX! >_<

:hugs: Good luck on your journey! :dust:

Good luck ladies...
