first cycle actively trying (June 2015)

RexMom -- Wow!!! (to everything coming true) And your symptoms sound truly promising! I refuse to talk about TTC with DP anymore. I don't want to pressure him at all. Just gonna let it happen, and when it does he'll be on board. He told me that he wants me to let go and just let it happen when it happens, so I'll go with the flow.

Maybe I should go see a psychic! Haha. If I knew the person was legit I would. I hate the ones that just make assumptions from looking at you or half say something and wait for you to finish the sentence making you think they know anything..

Afm my boobs have been pretty sore the past 2 days. I was thinking way to early for AF symptoms but then I realized I think I O'd late. If I O'd when I have been the past few months, I'd be getting af soon. Today is CD 25. I was only having 25-27 day cycles since we started ttc. If that's the case then at least I won't have to worry about it at all for my tough mudder which would be great. Why do af symptoms and pregnancy symptoms have to be the same?! It's so confusing.

Hi ladies! Gina you are having so many great symptoms! I can't wait for you to test! It is frustrating how similar AF symptoms are to pregnancy...one of the joys of being female I guess.

So my first appointment is set for October 10...we had to reschedule with a different doctor because as it turns out that one wasn't in our insurance network. On another note, I'm very nervous about eventually telling my job about the pregnancy. They really like me, and I'm doing good work, but I do feel sort of bad that I literally got pregnant the month I started with them. I probably won't tell them until early November. Plus, I'm pretty sure most companies don't even offer family medical leave until you have been with th company for 12 months. Not that it would be paid anyway but still. Sorry to vent, I think it's hormones really starting to hit me.

Awe mini I understand what you mean. I think your right about the 12 months for federal law. But every company has a different policy about it. I wouldn't tell them until later in the pregnancy. Like wait until you start to show and can't hide it. If your doing well there I'm sure it won't be a problem. You might not get paid for the leave but you should be able to get the time off. You can always use short term disability for it too.

Thanks, Gina! I'm probably freaking out for no reason, surely this situation has happened before lol. I've heard about the short term disability thing, I may look into it. I was kind of prepared for the unpaid leave regardless but we'll see.

Worst case, what my company does if you leave for a long time not on maternity leave is you basically lose your job and when you are ready to come back they find another position for you if they already filled that one. It depends on the position whether they can hold it for you or if they need someone doing it right away. Take a look at your employee handbook if you have one. It should explain their policies and hopefully put you a little more at ease. I'm sure it has come up before. And you will have worked there for 9 months, maybe they will let the 12 month thing slide for you :)

Gina -- I'm leery about going to "psychics" who pausing looking for you to fill in the blanks, too. lol... Most times, I do my own readings with Tarot cards, which are super accurate. However, it's not good to do readings on yourself, especially on a topic that you're super passionate about--like me wanting to desperately have kids. Its becomes a conflict of interest, because you'll want to see things in a favorable light according to your wishes...or may see something as being way more terrible than it really is. When it comes to picking a psychic, I do Tarot card readings to verify if they truly have a gift and would provide accurate predictions for me. So, the cards verified that this baby whisperer is the Truth and would give me accurate predictions.

Gina... those sore boobs sound like a symptom. Do you plan to test soon or just wait around for AF? What makes you think you O'd late? Did you get a chance to BD for both estimated O dates?

mininun --No need to worry. And no need to tell them that you're pregnant before showing. I agree with Gina. Wait until you are showing and it's super obvious, pull out that handbook, and see what their policies are about maternity leave. Everything will work itself out.

Magicalmom, I only BD'd once during my fertile window. I was trying to not try this month lol. But the day I did I had ewcm and my cervix was high soft and open. It was not technically late for me, just late compared to the past few months. I used to ovulate between CD 15-17. When we started ttc it went to 12-13. This month I believe it was on CD 16. I had watery cm on CD 12 but nothing else. So who knows. Since I realized I af could show anytime I keep feeling like she is coming but no spotting or anything. Cervix shows no sign of her coming so idk. I plan to wait until Monday or Tuesday to use my FRER. I might take a cheapie if I remember tomorrow with fmu but I haven't POAS in so long I might forget haha.

Hey ladies! Traveled across the country today so I've been out of touch.

Magical- I got a reading! She said I'm either pregnant now or will give birth Sept 2016 and it will be a girl. Time will tell! I'm testing tomorrow.

Mini- I agree, wait to tell. Also, it's illegal to fire someone for a medical condition, so most likely it will be some time off (paid or unpaid depending on the company policies) and then you should be able to come back. Sounds like you're doing a great job and I'm sure they'd understand!

Gina- it's sort of nice not stressing, isn't it? The mudder has been a great focus for you, it sounds like. I still can't wait for you to test!

AFM: still sore boobs, cramps, and what feels like the verrrrrrry beginning of a UTI, which I have only had once in my life so hopefully it's a good sign!

I realized today is the day I was planning on telling my parents I was pregnant. I would have been 8 weeks today :(

Aww Gina! Your BFP is coming very, very soon. I feel it. You and I will be bump buddies. Watch and see. :)

RexMom -- I'm on the edge of my seat awaiting your test results! The suspense is killing me!

Aw Gina! It will come, and it will be a day that means so much it will help ease how you're feeling now.

Magical, according to our readings, we may be bump buddies also, just a month apart!

My temp has been dropping the past few days so I'm not holding onto much for a BFP this month. It would have been amazing with how little we wee able to BD, so looking forward to LOTS of it this cycle! I'll make sure we don't miss a chance, haha.

Just started spotting. Cervix is pretty firm and seems like it's opening. Looks like I'm out. Really hoping October will be my month. It was nice to not stress about it this month but I doubt I will be able to not stress knowing we are trying. I never thought it would take this long. I just want my little baby

Yup :( tmi warning: last night I checked my cervix because I was only still spotting and finger came out covered in blood.. but trying to look on the bright side. I wasn't really trying and I won't have af for my tough mudder. And I will be able to drink the free beer after lol. Really bummed though..

Ugh, that does suck. I'm thinking of you. October WILL be your month though, and I'm sure you will be a little refreshed and ready to try again after your tough mudder is over with. Maybe treat yourself in a big way until then...a massage or a really nice bottle of wine.

:hugs: Gina
Treat yourself with a nice meal with all the things you cannot have while pregnant...Its great that you will not have AF during TM and also you will be in great shape for October!!!
:flower:

Thanks ladies! Trying to stay positive and focused. Next month I am going to try to relax as much as possible. Not going to check my cervix at all. Not going to obsess over the calendar. Just going to DTD every other to every 3 days once af leaves. Just hoping to have fun with it and enjoy the month. DH and I do not have sex very often with our schedules so I am hoping we can do it. :haha:

Hey Gina!

Sorry to here about AF coming through. At least you can give it your all without worrying about putting strain on the little one...AND enjoy free beer afterwards!

I am definitely glad I don't have to worry about straining too much with a baby. That's the main upside. But once I finish it's baby time :)

How is everyone doing?? Hope everyone is keeping busy. We have been rewiring our kitchen. The people that did the wiring seemed to want the house to catch on fire. -_-

sending baby dust to everyone and hoping those pregnant are having a smooth first trimester! :)
