First Time Mommies Due February 2016 - Anyone Want to Join Me?

k-squared- So happy for you!! :)

duster- Yay that the placenta moved! Boo to baby being breech, though there is plentyyyy fo time for baby to turn. Fingers crossed!! That isa so sweet that DH is being so supportive and learned some things at the class. Also, I hope your bunny feels better!

AFM: Had my stupid 3 hour glucose test yesterday, it was a freakin mess. First they forgot about me so I started later. Then she was insisting that I was only doing the 1 hour, to which I showed her the paper they sent me with my first results. After all that she kept poking me in my arms, but couldn't get the vein and ended up in my hand. It hurt so bad!! Thankfully she had better luck with the rest of the draws. I also got my whooping cough vaccine so I was quickly over the day so I went home and took a nap for the rest of the day. They said I should know something around Monday or Tuesday.

On a good note hubby got to use his b-day present and we went to see Star Wars! :)

Hi ladies!

Duster:
sorry for your rabbit, and yay that the placenta moved up!
Regarding the baby position, I would not worry to much right now! bip can still flip around a couple of times until he/she is finally set to 1 position!
And so nice of your hubby!!! :hugs: Support is one thing we will REALLY need when time comes!
Glad all went well with the school concert and that now you have a break!!

Jules:
so sorry for all this mess and confusion with the test! So frustrating! and being pinched all over is horrible!!! so sorry!!! Hope the results come back fine next week!!

AFM: another dr appt this morning, where little Ben wouldnt stop moving AGAIN!
But he was supper active since 6am, I couldnt get back to sleep after 6, because he was all over the place. The US showed he was still horizontal, but facing down. Could not get a clear picture of him again, bu was able to see his tiny little fingers on his head, it was so cute! :cloud9:

Not taking time off now, because I am saving all my PTO to be combine with maternity leave, so I'll be off on 24, 25 and 1st. that's it!

Well, a Merry Merry Xmas for all of you, just in case I dont come here before that :)

Panda, I am postive that you will get a bath if you wish. I was told that in winter less babys are born compare to summer.

Ladies I did a natural water birth for my 4.5 kg baby boy in the birthing center. My midwife told me to go for a walk when I had my contractions 4min apart. I thought she was crazy, I could walk only in the room with my mom and my husband hand in hand. When I was 4 cm dailated, I got in the tub and it was amazing in two positions on my back and on my knees. I was marching and doing sit ups and when contraction came I got into the water. Pushing lasted 3 hours. It was so amazing for the pain releave in the water. My midwive forced me to eat and drink. I did eat some bread and a fruit bar. The baby was born on the bed.

I thought it will be worst. I thought I would have more pain. The pain was like a very bad menstrual cramps.

It is never too late to start kegels, ladies. It will help you with a labor and later to avoid incontinence.

I wish you all the best this holiday season joy and hapiness with your family:xmas9:

Hi ladies! It's so busy with the holidays this week! Nice to check in and focus all the pregnancy happenings :)

ksquared: so glad the line is nice and dark! I know that having a pregnancy after a loss can be stressful - every weird twinge or bit of wet discharge made me nervous the first trimester, so to you I wish as calm and smooth a time as can be and lots of happy distractions and good news to come. I did a lot of breathing and meditation and talking to the baby to help me through it.

duster: hope your bunny is better soon! caring for a sick pet is tough! especially when so busy! Great news about placenta, though!! I'm sure the baby will change positions. My mom told me the other night that I apparently was transverse position right up until the morning she went into labor and then I turned. I hope my son doesn't follow in my footsteps and wait that long, but I guess it can happen right at the end!!

Jules: ugh, that lab visit sounds sooooo frustrating. You have the patience of a saint. Hope you get good news! We're going to see Star Wars day after Christmas. I hope it was fun!

Pri: That is so adorable that baby Ben is dancing around :) and you got to see little fingers and toes and all!

dovkav: Thanks for the info on the bath. It's nice to know it's worth asking for and will help! I def need to do more kegels. Good reminder. I exercise with a trainer, but that's the one thing she can't train . . . up to me to remember!!! LOL

I think husband and I have finally settled on the name Jayson Peter (Peter is my dad's name so he will be so happy). Our close second name is Lincoln so there could be a last minute switch, but I'm glad we narrowed it down at least! We kept changing our minds between about five names!!
We won't tell anyone until birth, though. I feel like people have too many opinions when it's pre-birth, but they hold their tongue once the name is on the birth certificate, haha.

Baby has been sooo crazy sometimes. Really pushing hard on my sides stretching out and head up under the ribs I'm pretty sure. Yesterday I thought he was burrowing right out of my belly button!!! Adorable but OUCH!! Am I the only one sore from all the movement? I feel like I'm being a wuss, but sometimes the stretching makes me lose my breath or makes it so difficult to walk around!

Anyway, I'm surprised everyone is already dealing with baby positions. My doc said she doesn't even really discuss position or do checks for position until week 34. He does seem to be all over the place right now, though. I can't tell what's what. Just lots of little and large lumps moving around my belly sometimes. It looks like Alien to watch my stomach move.

Hi Panda and all!!

I'm not sore, but he is definitely moving! I feel that his feet are just under my right ribs, and sometimes when I'm eating I need to eat with 1 hand and kind of massage that area with the other hand, because that part keeps "jumping" haha

then sometimes I feel his head on my left side and it really does look like I have an alien inside me!

Glad you decided the name!!!! I like it!!!! And agree with you about the opinions of others, but not only on names, on everything!!
I think being pregnant gives an automatic "permission" for people to give you comments or advises! It can get annoying very quickly!

I know I'm having a C-Section, but my dr has not mentioned anything on baby's position and I do also think it is way too early and anything and everything can happen as far as baby's position on the next weeks, or as you said, up to delivery day, so ladies, I would not worry a bit about it!

Jules, did you get your glucose test result?

I have a question about buying diapers LOL.
Hubby thinks we should not stock up on diapers because we dont know the brand baby will like most. So far we have bought only 1 box, and I think we should have purchased at least a month supply.... Are you stocking up on diapers?? What brand are you buying?

And btw, yayyyy for the ones here living up north that will not have a cold snowy Xmas!!!!!
For us here, it will be almost as Xmas in July LOL.. well, not as hot as July, but we will be on our 80's during the day!
little strange for Christmas!

Pri- Sounds like your going to have your hands full with that active little guy! :) As for diapers, we have 1 pack that we got as a gift. I would like to have a stash of at least 2 months worth, but I am waiting until after the baby shower to see if I get any there or get gift cards I can use. I am starting with pampers just because I worked with infants for years and had a lot of issues with huggies. I am sure I will just use whichever brand is on sale eventually. lol

Panda- Star Wars was a lot of fun! I'm sure you will enjoy it. :) I love the name you chose!!! I don't blame you for waiting to announce. So many people feel that it's their right to judge the name or come up with alternatives. Its like...no this is the one we chose and we are sticking to it. lol My baby girl likes my ribs at the moment too. I have to sit certain ways to be comfortable, but no pain.

AFM: I passed my 3 hour glucose test with flying colors! Yay, it's a Christmas miracle! I know I have been on edge over the past week because I was nervous. I feel like I can finally relax and enjoy the holidays.

If I don't get a chance to get back on I just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Be safe if your traveling and enjoy your day. :)

I haven't been on a lot lately, I feel very behind on what is going on with everybody.
I hope everybody has been good and is feeling good.

I'm 32 weeks today- Only 8 weeks until my due date, and only 4 weeks until I am done work for a year. I really hope it goes by quickly. I want baby boy to be as healthy as possible, but I'm secretly hoping that he comes early. I've been having a perfect pregnancy, but I'm starting to get a little bit tired of it... Sleeping has been difficult lately so I get tired so quickly. And I have been getting the worst acid reflex. The other night it was so bad that it woke me up at like 3am and I got sick. :nope:
I feel bad complaining about these things, because I know compared to what some others are going through it is nothing.

Hi Ladies,

hope you all had a very nice Christmas and enjoyed the time off!!
I surely did enjoy being off for 4 days :)

Fading:
I'm feeling tired too! Waking up at 6am today to come to work was not easy! I noticed my reflux is worse at the office. Maybe too much time sitting down? I was fine during these 4 days at home and today I'm getting them kind of non stop.. I thankfully I dont get them during the night unless I have dinner too late and not too healthy!
Hanging in there, we are almost there!!! and soooo lucky you you will be off from work soon!!!!

Jules: congrats on passing the 3h glucose test!! What a relief! :happydance:
I wanted to stock up on diapers too, but no idea if I should buy all the brands, or stick to Pampers. Also, not sure how many new born to buy. When we are supposed to change from N to 1?

things are starting to get confusing, now that we are getting close! LOL

AFM little Ben is being very active lately. And it is strange since they are not kicks anymore, but I feel the actual turning and tossing. and for some reason normally at my right ribs!
Kind of anxious for my next appt on Jan 6!

Anyone already has a pediatrician?

Jules: Yay for passing the 3hr glucose test! That must be a huge relief.

Pri: Little Jayson is the same way. Much less kicking and lots of turning and flipping and mostly near ribs. I guess we should feel them start to drop lower in the next couple weeks. I have just enough reflux to be annoying, but not painful, but I am looking forward to some space under my ribs again although not looking forward to having to pee all the time when he drops down.

xfading: I know what you mean about tired. Even when I feel like I got 8 hrs of sleep (usually with 2 wakeups to pee) I still feel like napping now. I guess that's normal for third tri. I def feel like I'm slower at getting tasks done. I'm so sorry the acid reflux made you sick. Are you able to take something for it? We interviewed one pediatrician who seems great and we have meetings with 2 more before we decide. Both are next week.

Just a random note: I mentioned kegels to my doctor and she actually said the latest research says they are not necessary or helpful before labor unless you are accidentally peeing when you sneeze. She said building the muscles can actually make passing baby more difficult! She did say that they are good to do after having the baby though. I'm sure there are different opinions out there in the medical world, but that surprised me!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Fading- I am so jealous of your year off! lol You will have a lot of time to spend with your little guy. :) I hear you on the tired part, I feel like I am back in the first trimester. I had some issues with acid reflux for a while and found that if I eat a yogurt in the morning it helps. If I can't then I take a zantac. Hang in there, he is almost here!

Pri- I got about 150 newborns to start then the rest size ones. If your not sure get a few little packs of the newborn, that way if you don't need them all you can always exchange. Isn't it weird and amazing to feel the big movements? I was so used to kicks and now I can feel her whenever she moves, sometimes I see her butt stick out. lol I haven't found a pediatrician yet, I am waiting until the new year. We only have 2 in town so I won't have to do too much searching. lol

Panda- That is pretty interesting about the kegals. It makes sense for after delivery.

AFM: Our holiday was pretty good. We did a lot of traveling and agreed that next year we are going to start spending Christmas day then maybe visit family the next weekend or something. We got a lot of the stuff we needed for Emma, like the crib and carseat/stroller. On one hand I feel better we have it, on the other my nesting is going crazy to set it all up. lol Christmas Eve we had an ultrasound and our baby girl is weighing 3 pounds 13 ounces, in the 44th percentile. I can't believe how fast time is flying now. In a few days we can officially say we are due next month! :)

Thanks, Jules!!!
Yes, we have already the 72 diapers box for newborn, I will get another 1 and then move to the number 1. If I need more newborn, then I will just buy at that time!

For the pediatrician, I'm also waiting for next year. My office is switching insurance companies for 2016, so I rather start checking the ones that will be in my network for 2016 rather then start now and then realize the one I like, will not work for 2016.

So nice you got to see Emma on Xmas Eve!!! that was a great present :)
and so glad all is fine and she is growing strong!!

So last night we had some fun with little Ben. I was laying on the couch looking at my belly and it started to move. So I called hubby and he started to talk to Ben with his face very close to my belly. As the belly would move towards him, the belly would touch hubby's face. It was so weird to see the belly so stretched out, but so funny at the same time to see little Ben responds to daddy's voice!
:cloud9:

Fading: I've been taking Tums when the reflux gets really annoying and it really calms it down. And also making the effort to eat more often!

Hey ladies, woke up this morning and noticed more space around my ribs. Wasn't sure but now that it's evening and still the same, I am thinking baby started to drop and I am experiencing "Lightening ". I'm very excited. Hoping this means he is going to get in proper position by labor. Fingers crossed!

Pri- That is sooo cute!! I love it! :) Mine is a little booger whenever anyone (even daddy) try to feel. He has only seen/felt her a handful of times.

Panda- So exciting! I can't believe we are already experiencing end of the pregnancy signs!

AFM- Nothing new really. So excited for the New Year! This whole year seems like a blur. I was just starting my testing for PCOS this time last year and wouldn't have even guessed that I would be close to meeting our baby girl right now. It makes me want to cry! Also, tomorrow we can officially say our babies are due next month. People have went from saying, "you still have a while to go" to "wow, not too much longer" :)

I hope you ladies have a wonderful New Years Eve!!!

omg "next month" is right! I can't believe it's so close!

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year! Long time since I've posted on here.

How is everyone doing? Can't believe that we will be having our babies next month! (let's hope). RL pain has been terrible, but getting better the last few days. Finally was able to get some sleep last night--not as much as I'd like, but some is better than none.

Hope you guys are doing well and bringing in the new year :flow:

Happy New Year everyone!
We can now all officially say that we are having babies next month.
:D

Hi All,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! The year our lives will be changed forever!!! :happydance:
Anyone feeling a little nervous? haha

Panda:
Cool that you are feeling some more space and that must be an indication he is getting into the right position for his big entrance to this world!

Daisy:
sorry you are feeling lots of RL Pain.... hope you are feeling better!!

I know that 3 or 4 of us, can't remember now who, have the Baby Shower this coming Saturday!! Hope the preparations are going well :)

AFM: nothing new, really...
Dr appt this Wednesday, so excited to see him again, and hopefully I'm able to get a good picture of him! It has been 2 appts that I leave without a picture because he wouldnt stop moving...

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Anyone getting their ass kicked by insomnia? Can't seem to get more than 5 hours sleep at a time. Which means waking up between 2-4 and almost always unable to go back to sleep.

Daisy,

today I am having my ass kicked by reflux!!! My throat hurts already :(
And I feel that baby's feet are kicking my breasts almost.. not a nice afternoon!!

As far as insomnia goes, for me it depends.
I normally go to bed around 10:30pm, 11pm and wake up at 6am (week days of course). So if I wake up to to pee by 3:30, 4am the latest, I can go back to sleep in seconds. But if I wake up to pee after 4am (today was 4.41am), then forget it, I will not go back to sleep. Today was 4:41 and I was able to fall asleep only at 5:30 to have the alarm go off at 6am...

This is me now

Hi all! I hope you are having a good year so far. :)

Daisy- I can't say that I have experienced insomnia recently, I have actually been sleeping great. I did in the beginning though and it sucked! I know that it's pretty common around this time though due to being uncomfortable.

Pri- I hope your appt. goes well and little one cooperates for pictures. We have yet to get a good full face picture because she immediately puts her hands up and starts moving around. I'm sorry you are having reflux. That is my only issue right now and I hate it!! I finally broke down and took a ranitidine (Zantac) and so far it is working amazing. Its only category B.

AFM: Nothing new really. I am feeling pretty good besides the normal aches and tiredness of pregnancy. I have a ob check up tomorrow, but those are usually quick.

I am super excited for my shower this weekend!!! I know quite a few of us have them this weekend. :) I just can't wait to get everything in the house so we can finish up with what we need and start getting things together.
