First Time Mommies Due February 2016 - Anyone Want to Join Me?

Happy due month!

I've been having a lot of practice contractions all day! I'm getting soooo impatient xxx

Weird I haven't been getting any except in the AM when I need to pee. Have had horrible back pain and cramping pain but no contractions and no other signs other than feeling Zodi right smack on my cervix.

Sooo ready to deliver this little baby!

Yes, I think that since we hit February, anxiety and impatience will get the best of us!!

Daisy:
Yesterday I was feeling lots of pain on my right side, close to my waist, towards my back and it turns out it was just the position I slept in the night before.
I guess since I was on my left side, my right arm was on top of my right side and maybe the weight of it got me sore...
I put a pillow on my side, so my arm could be on top of the pillow and I woke up perfectly fine today!

My last appt is tomorrow! we will go over all the instructions and procedures and then just pray for the big day, next Wed!
my co-workers keep saying he is not that low yet, which for me is perfect, since I want him to come on Feb 10, not a day sooner :)

How is everybody doing??

Other than sleep deprivation, I am doing pretty well. lol My patience is gone. If it wasn't for still having a lot of stuff to get done at work I would be losing my mind!

Pri- Wow, your last appt! You are so close! I hope everything goes well. :)

Just had my 37 week appointment (though I'm 37+6). I am GB negative (yay!). BP is 112/76, which is my normal. I'm measuring right on 37 weeks. Baby's HR is 155. And he is now in the OA position (fingers crossed that he stays this way as last week he was OP). He is still pretty high up though, which sucks. My midwife can still reach the top of his head and move him up and down. Unless if he seriously drops over the next week, she thinks I'll probably go about a week past my DD. I also found out that I've been having braxton hicks without knowing. When she was feeling his position I had one, and she mentioned it to me. I had no idea. I just thought he had stuck out his butt which caused my bump to feel harder.

I'm with you gals . . . totally impatient now!

All my symptoms have calmed down which is both nice and frustrating since it feels like i'll be waiting forever now. But thankfully pain has stopped in pelvic area and back and I did not have another total night sweat like the first one though I have been hot at night and even though it's cold out and we turn down heat at night, sleeping with just a sheet or light blanket instead of comforter.

I wish I hadn't been so efficient . . . I have nothing to do!!! I'm going stir crazy!!!

Pri, good luck with your appt and so excited for your baby to arrive. Only 3 days!!!!

Wonder if duster is going into labor today???? :)

Wow pri, good luck!

Well ladies, I had my 39-week appointment yesterday. I was diagnosed with a UTI, and wound up in L&D with regular contractions at 1:30 this morning (5 minutes apart, 45 sec-1 min long, for at least an hour). BUT, they told me after several hours and no progression that the UTI is most likely causing the contractions and sent me home. So DH and I have spent the day at home today.

I am still contracting, so we will see what happens. I'm not convinced this is all UTI, but it also very well could be. I contacted my OB to see if I can take AZO, just waiting to hear back from her.

Oooh duster keep us updated girl! You're about there I hope this is it for you! :flower:

omg duster that sounds frustrating! UTI's are so uncomfortable anyway without having contractions on top of it! :( I hope you can take the AZO! And it does seem odd that you are still contracting. Def let us know if it progresses!!!

Ladies,

Introducing Dorian Michael! 8 lbs, 1 oz, 21 1/2", born at 7:40 PM. He is calmly sleeping on my chest, and we feel so blessed! Active labor was 2 hours, water broke within 15 minutes of getting to the hospital. He did have meconium but scored a 9/10 so is doing wonderfully! I did not have an epidural, but did have a dose of pain meds.

I KNEW this wasn't a UTI. ;)

He is adorable:cloud9:
You are a winner:flower: You had a quick birth.
Sending you all the best wishes to your family
your marriage is 7/7/12
the birth is 2/2/16

Duster- Omg!! Look at that handsome little face! Congrats!!:happydance: So glad to hear that you had a quick labor and everyone is doing well. Make sure to keep us updated. Woohoo for the first baby in our group! :)

Panda- You are sure welcome to come help me out if your bored! lol

Fading- Glad your appt. went well. :) That is pretty interesting about your braxton hicks.

AFM: So last night when I got home I went down to put a load of laundry into the dryer and in the middle of doing so had a pretty intense braxton hick then a lot of pressure/stinging on my cervix. I barely got up the steps to our apt. the pressure was so bad. I laid down and had a few more that seemed to have a shooting pain from front to back. I thought...this is it. Then of course they stopped and I fell asleep. (TMI) I woke up around 5am and def. lost some mucus plug. I have an ultrasound and appt. tomorrow so I am really interested to see what they say....I have this feeling she wants out sooner rather than later. lol

Wow what a cute little man! Omg so happy for you that's amazing! What a great birth story too dear. Enjoy that baby

Duster!!!!
He is adorable!!! Congrats!!!!! and what a great labor!!!!!
So happy for you!!!!!!!!
:happydance: First baby of our group!!!!
Keep the pics coming and keep us posted!!!!

Jules:
sorry for the sharp pain, I felt a little bit yesterday too and it was sooo uncomfortable.

Panda:
good that the discomfortable somehow is better, but I see your point that you just want to go through and be done with it :)
I'm not sweating per say, but I feel very hot at night.. Been sleeping with the fan on and no cover sheets or nothing

Fading:
great that everything is perfect with you 2! He will go down, you still have 2 weeks to go!!!! :)

AFM:
the 3 days is for me to stop working!!! My C-Section is on Feb 10, 1 week from now!!!!!
Going to the doctor for the last time this afternoon!
I'll keep everyone posted!!!

Poll: Who will be the next one to introduce us to the next bundle of joy?????

Jules, I get a lot of that sharp pain in my cervix too. Some times it helps to lift my bump off of my pelvis. Any other signs other than the plug??

fading, that is weird about your BH. next time you're unsure, press into your navel. If it's hard like your forehead, it's a contraction. If you can indent, it's not.

panda, same here about going stir crazy. My bff's birthday is coming up so I'm making her a hemp necklace. I would crochet more but every time I do my hand just tingles

Pri, there are a few c-sections coming up next week (including yours--yay!) but maybe someone will go into labor this weekend! How exciting that we are already getting our birth announcements. I remember getting my BFP 28 June, now I am in false labor! So amazing to think about.

This is going to be a mommies thread here soon! :cloud9:

Pri- I am super jealous you are done work in a few days. My boss is apparently unaware that I could go at any time and keeps throwing things at me. If she doesn't stop she is going to be stuck with a lot of unfinished stuff. lol Good luck on your last appt! :) I am guessing your next! We are all so near each other, it's really hard to tell.

Daisy- I have been getting the sharp cervix pain for a few weeks, this just felt different. I felt a lot of pressure not only on my cervix, but in my butt too. I am thinking may she was engaging? I have continued to have pieces of mucus throughout today.

Hi ladies!!
My appt went well and all is good.
He is already engaged and doctor confirmed Om having some contractions, so his head is actually measuring smaller than last week because of it.
I found it weird, but doctor was not concerned, so I guess it is the norm.
And he also said that he believed he was fine staying there for another week, that he would not come earlier than the Csection, which for me is good news

Need to to go to the hospital next Tues for some blood work, and then back on Wed for the big day!!!!

Duster! He's so adorable! You so called it!!! Amazing mom instinct! So exciting to see a baby pic on here!

Jules: I had some contractions and heavy pressure going up and downstairs to do laundry tonight! I wondered if the stairs were exasperating them? But no mucous plug loss like you have. That's exciting! Time is getting close!

Pri: sorry for some reason I had Feb 5 in my head. But next week is still so soon. So glad he's engaged as that means he's probably ready to meet you!

Can't wait to see who is next :)

Well, ladies, I can't even say how excited I am for all of you!!! This is coming up so fast for you; these little ones could be here anytime now.

Maybe I'm one of those women who say labor isn't that bad but I honestly thought my early contractions were just pain from a UTI but now I've been told I don't have a UTI at all. The contraction pain never enveloped my entire abdomen; it stayed very low to where the uterus normally lies or where I had felt round ligament pain. I had to really think about it to be even calling my doctor to be checked.

I have to say, even this early on, if there's one thing this little man has taught me it's patience. Even before conception- it took us 11 months to conceive. I got sick of being pregnant long before his birth and had to wait. Now, breastfeeding is proving to be a challenge- especially on my left breast for whatever reason. He also likes to tease, rooting at his hands and then I try to feed him, only to have him decline a feeding- and once wrapped all back up he changes his mind and then will take a pretty big feeding. Brat. But I wouldn't trade him for the world. He is our perfect little prince.

Are you ladies planning to BF? If so, get ready for the cramping afterward as your uterus shrinks back. My nipples also hurt already- this dude sucks HARD!!!!!

And if you birth vaginally, get ready for the feeling of when you stand up, everything is going to fall out of you. The nurses tell me that one takes a while to go away. But it's all worth it for our bundles of joy.

Also: I can't leave this post without a picture of Dorian bundled up after his first bath:
