Laura, Im praying for Simon as well. Poor bub on max meds has got to be hard on the both of you. I feel like time needs to go by faster so that you can have the results already! Once you get the results, do you know what your next step will be?

Hoping it works soon
It prob needs another raise or two
He is a bit sick from it now
But not as bad as other times

Did they say if there would be a chance for his body to react to the meds and start to correct itself to where they can reduce the meds? I so hope so :(

Angel, Bethany, Jess, Leslie, & A1983....

Happy Friday everyone and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

What they usually do is increase till it works
Then see if he can safely grow and not increase
Which is like,a natural decrease :-D
Fingers crossed
Thanks Amy Xx
Hope all's well in project rainbow xxx

There was a big boxing match out here in the states so we went to one of D's friend's house to watch it. He had a lot of people there and good food so it was lots of fun. Now just preparing for Mother's Day this weekend and the only thing that is getting me through it is my parents are flying in for a visit this weekend. How about you?

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! :)

Laura ~ Can't believe Prince Milky will be 2 shortly! I'm glad the Dr's take precaution with his meds...fx'd no additional increases are needed and the EEG results come in soon (no news is good news!)

Amy ~ I'm glad your parents are coming in this weekend...I'm sure it will be a beautiful distraction! :hugs: I was thinking of you today...I sucked a rubberband up in my Dyson and it stuck in the brush. I flipped the vacuum to pull it out and realized there was an inch of hair wrapped around the entire roller! I kid you not, I cleaned off a fist full of my hair! Note to self: clean the vacuum roller regularly! Ha!

Jess & Bethany ~ smooches to the girls!

My SIL will be staying in Philadelphia now through the delivery of the baby. The surgeon there said IF the baby stabilizes after birth, then they would attempt surgery to tie off the leaky valves and do the Norwood procedure. This little fella is defying the odds, it's all in God's hands now. My brother is preparing for the worst, praying for the best.

Angel, Im pulling for this little guy. Hope that he continues to defy the odds and keeps fighting! LOL regarding the vacuum.. I said the same thing and do you think I have gotten down and cleaned that thing out since? NOPE. But its funny that you say that because this weekend I was vacuuming and I was thinking that I really do need to do that!

Amy hugs
Stupid mothers day.
I hated it this year cos close to mmc
It reminds me of my angels too much.
Glad u hve fun at the match xxx

Angel little baby sounds like a fighter.
Hoping he continues to defy the odds
Xxx

Hi ladies. Sorry been gone so long. I have been sick as a dog. Sinus and chest infection with fevers. A lot more going on but to weak to even get into it. Hope u are all doing great. I'm thinking of all of u!

Angel, sounds like your little nephew is one tough little boy! Praying he continues to grow and thrive. :hugs:

Laura, :hugs: to u and Simon. How is the little man doing? Hoping his seizures are calming down with his meds.

Amy, waiting here so anxiously for your transfer day. So excited and hopeful for u. Praying for your bfp hon. :hugs:

Bethany, lots of :hugs: hon. Hope things are looking better for u and your family.!

Jess ~ Sorry you are so sick! I hope you're on meds to help. Heaven knows I struggle keeping up with Pierce when I don't feel well, I don't know how you do it with 3 girls! :hugs:

Bethany ~ Any updates? Thinking of you.

Amy ~ Is it June yet? I imagine you'll have a lovely weekend with your folks in town...not the weekend you had imagined for yourself, but it's something to look forward to until your rainbows are transferred. As for the vacuum--I just never thought the brush would get so tangled that I'd have to cut the hair out! I will keep an eye on it from here on---crazy that it's working so much better now, really picking things up! :haha:

Laura ~ Bug cuddles to Simon! Any plan for his big day?

A1983

Simon epilepsy gone a bit bananas
He has 5 new teeth over a short time
So could be partly to blame
Waiting to hear back on new med plan.
Consultant isn't there till Friday

Xxx to all

good morning ladies!

Jess, Im sorry to hear that you are sick. :( Did you go to the dr or are you taking OTC meds at home? Hope you feel better soon!!!

Laura, Poor S! When he teethes, that triggers his seizures? Poor little guy :( Do you think once he is done with teething and all maybe he will have fewer episodes? Gosh I hope so! :hugs:

Angel, hope all is well with P.... and your vacuum lol

Bethany, Always thinking of you and sending love to you and L!

Leslie, hope you are enjoying your girls being home now! :cloud9:

A1983

Happy Hump Day All!

They ran my blood work STAT, so I forgot they called with results Friday---all normal except my A1C (diabetic) was .1 over, but I hadn't fasted that morning

Laura ~ Darn the seizures! Little fella needs a break---hurry up consultant. Teething is such a pain too.

Pierce is great, he is rocking a runny nose thanks to the pollen. I'm loving listening to him try new words...not loving the tantrums he throws when I do things for him that he wanted to do (lids on cups, buckles on seats, throw things in trash) :dohh:

Amy ~ The vacuum will not beat me! Ha!

Happy Hump Day!

Glad that your bloodwork looked good. Are they going to make you retest to check your A1C? My friend said that her daughter threw a huge tantrum too when she buckled her daughter's seatbelt for her. She said that she normally lets her do it but that they were in a hurry so she just did it for her... HUGE meltdown. Note to self... dont mess with a determined LO. lol

Angel, you actually don't need to fast with the A1C test. Its a different kind of test because it checks the average blood sugars for the last 2 to 3 months. I just took the test and the doc explained it in great detail. My brother is a diabetic so he has to take the A1C every few months and he says its more accurate than the typical fasting blood test because it shows what the average blood sugar has been over the last months or so. Over here the lab range is 4% to 5.6%, which means u are non diabetic and 5.7% to 6.4% is increased risk for Diabetes (also means that u are not yet a diabetic and have time to turn things around). And 6.5% or higher indicates most likely diabetes. I just took the test and was quite nervous because my dad was a diabetic, my older brother is a diabetic and the last few months I ate like crap. Luckily I tested in normal range 5.3%, but to me its a bit on the high side for normal so I am going to start watching my sugar and carb intake. Have u ever had a random glucose test? I learned a bit about Diabetes from taking care of my father.

Angel, Sophia gets tantrums over the exact same things. She gets po'd when you buckle her seat belts. She likes to do it herself but at times she doesn't do it right or we are in a rush and she throws a huge temper tantrum when we buckle her booster chair seat belt for her. She also gets mad when she is trying to do something and she cant do it. She actually losses it when she can't figure something out and gets scary lol. For example shoes. If she can't figure out the right foot to put the shoe on or the buckle, she gets so ticked off she will scream and throw the shoe in anger (she has thrown it at my head :nope: ). These little kids can be feisty!
