For those who use jars...

Maybe I'm a bad mum but I just leave her to ruin the living room

Haha, if I did that the tv would get pulled over, she'd have the lamps off the table and she would be trying to escape up the chimney via the fireplace... I know this because one time I left her there when I was desperate for a wee... bad times!

But when I'm on here I can keep an eye on her lol when I'm in the kitchen she is free to rule the roost aka destroy the lounge!

Same here, I wouldnt dare cook while Chloe was about!!

What do you do when you pee? Or have a bath? Or cook yourself dinner?

I only have a bath and cook my dinner once she is in bed at night. And when I pee I either take her with me or take the risk and pee as fast as I can and that is when I come down to chaos!

If I wasnt doing BLW I would use some jars. Definitely whilst out because I dont think homemade would cope too well in transit.

put her in her cot where she stands and screams and tries to climb out when I go to the loo. I have a bath with her or when she has gone to bed and I dont cook for us either

Little Rascal! Im thinking of getting a play pen for this very reason plus I have dog that causes mischeif but he would prob get in it with her. Its great at the min she cant move.

I dread the day she learns to walk, she's bad enough already with just crawling and standing lol

 I don't think it's hard to find time when you only have one kid, take them in the kitchen and give them a wooden spoon to play with?

Caitlyn has ready made meals sometimes, but I'm not going to say it's because I don't have the time, or can't leave her on her own, because that just isn't true..

I've never said thats why Chloe does. I DON'T always have the time but thats not why I chose to give her jars

I never said you said that's why Chloe does... I didn't quote anyone...

I know I could say that it is easier for people who live with parents or have a partner. I know single mums cope too... it is a little harder though. Grace doesn't know the definition of sit lol she may play with a spoon for 3 minutes max... she has avery short attention span. Speaking of which, must go and prise her away from the tv....

I think Toria meant that people often say they give jars because they don't have time to make anything else but that's an excuse because they actually could have time if they made it... iykwim?

 Grace and Chloe would be a nightmare together by the sounds of it- she managed to get herself into the washing machine earlier!

I always say I havent got the time to do my hair when in actually fact I just cant be bothered.

yeah I know, sorry, taking my mood out on people here a bit. Sorry Toria

She doesn't need to sit in the kitchen, she can crawl around? You don't have to be there the whole time it's cooking either, pop it on, check on it a few times, take it off...

Anywho, I'm not telling anyone how to feed their kids, Caitlyn had jars all the time for a few weeks when we started weaning, and has some quick baby pasta things now sometimes, all I'm saying is, I thought I didn't have time but now it's in our routine it's easy, and doesn't take much time atall. IMO it's not that hard to find time to do it, and IMO if you want to you can, but that's just MY experience and everyone (and their kids) are different

Lol bless, I have caught Grace trying to get in the fireplace, in the tumble dryer... she can also get up the stairs now which start in my kitchen and annoyingly are freestanding to begin eith so can't put a stairgate on... she's a horror
