Germany?

No, in theory not - just scare mongering me, and I@ll have to sign some sort of disclaimer to say I went against their medical advice

Oh by the way the official guide lines are to induce after two weeks- There was one on the other board a German pamphlet by the doctors association or so that said that. You don't need to take any iron if your iron is alright. I got mine precribed by the doctor as my haemoglobin was only 8.8 and it should be 10 to 12.

Yeah, well stay strong :) hopefully they come on their own before you have to deal with anything else!

I wish I had some idea when my LO will come, I have the full 37-42 weeks to expect her :/

I know  thats why I got the iron prescribed. 8 weeks prior it was still alright though..
I also have no idea- she could practically come during the entire month of november as her due date is slap bang in the middle of November :haha:

Take a look in your mutter pass at your iron levels, should be on one of the fold out pages

The Hb (Eryl) part? I don't understand what everything is in there. :p

holywoodmum, I've tried taking Floradix with coke and all sorts of strong tasting drinks right after but.. wow. That taste is unforgettable in the worst of ways no matter what.
You're a super mom for being able to handle 2 kiddies while about to pop! I'm wondering how I'll manage when I'm due any day with my then 13 month old. I wonder if she'll be walking then.
It's chilly here too. Has rained all day with no end in sight. That's okay. :) Hopefully it's somewhat decent tomorrow at least so we can get a few things done. We're car-less at the moment and have been since April. Makes life a whole lot more complicated!

How far into your pregnancies did you all start taking iron tablets/syrup?

You should join the November babies thread! :D
I am in the November sparklers thread :D
I only started my iron tablets this week on monday, as this is when i got them prescribed.

I didn't know you can get iron tablets by prescription. That would save money as Floradix isn't cheap from what I remember. Femibion isn't either. I don't think prenatals are covered by insurance though.

Yes I didnt have to pay a cent for my Iron tablets ( I have tardyferron). Prenatals (as in multivits) aren't covered by insurance as they arent drugs but just dietary supplements, Iron in that dose is as it is a medical necessity.. and femibion isnt that a folic acid product? i have been using folio forte which is a lot cheaper and just as good. (costs around 5 € in the pharmacy and comes as a pill dispenser like sweeteners.)

I'm on tarfyferron as well :)

Yes! It's the Hb eryl thingy, what's your numbers?

wondering if any of you ladies know if there is anything i can take for what feels like a water infection?

Ah, that makes sense. I guess I wasn't given a prescription for iron my first pregnancy because it was still in the okay range (at its lowest 11,4 at 23 weeks but boosted up to 11,9 at 32 weeks so Floradix along with broccolli must have helped:lol:). It started at 14,0 when measured at 8 weeks. This pregnancy I've started with 13,5 at 9 weeks and I haven't had a measurement since so maybe this next appointment.

Femibion is a prenatal brand (https://www.femibion.de/schwangerschaft-2-detail.html).
There's one for first trimester too but I always found out I'm pregnant a bit later so only took it the last few weeks of the first tri. I actually tried a different prenatal today, it came with this bag of info. and samples I was given at the first appointment.. it's called Centrum Materna. Anyway, a few minutes after I took it I started feeling sick. 15 minutes later I threw up.. a lot. Better stick with Femibion, it's never made me sick, just wish it wasn't so expensive! My doctor recommended it so I haven't looked into anything else, although it's all pretty similar I'm sure.

What's tarfyferron, Sarah?

opps, Tardyferron, not Tarfy :) but it's a iron tablet, 80mgs I think?
It doesn't effect my stomach though. I think anything above 11-12 is fine really, just on the low side. But I think if you drop more than 2 from your starting level they don't like that. I think you're higher than I started at :D hehe

UTI sorry :haha:

Normally antibiotics right? Because it's an internal bacterial infection :/
I don't know of anything else

Yeah, 116117 will tell you where to go for them. But you shouldn't wait till monday, they aren't good for pregnancy :(. Not to mention they are horrible in themselves!!

il get hubby to call for me someone just said to drink cranberry juice and try flush it out but dont think that will work:shrug:

I guess you can try, especially if you have some :P But definitely get a doctor's appointment tomorrow. It's something you don't want to let go because they can lead to preterm labour. But I'm sure that's only if you leave it for a while and don't get it treated.
