I think 14 is about where you are supposed to have you iron. Like for a normal healthy person :D

Good to know I won't need much! I'm slightly worried about the size of my clothes. The whole 50,56,62 sizing is confusing because different brands put different age ranges on each one :/. I don't know if I've brought any 50s, but you actually hardly ever see them.

I know some babies go right into size 56 clothing but for the smaller ones size 50 is a much better fit. I wouldn't go overboard with 50s but it's good to have a few onesies in that size anyway because you never know.
H&M has a decent amount of size 50 clothing.

Those onesies, for example, are a dream in the first weeks! I remember being terrified of dressing Aurora when she was just born. I was so uncomfortable putting clothes over her head especially since she cried often when I did (well, to this day she still does sometimes). These side button onesies are soo easy and tolerable for baby since you just lay them on it opened and snap it up.

WhisperOfHope - any time is a good time! It's nice to get an idea of where you'd feel most comfortable. Did you ask your gynecologist for a recommendation? I chose the hospital mine recommended.

Oh yep, I might send the DH out to get some if she's small. ATM I think she'll turn into an 8lber, but you never know for sure!!

Sarah, I've always considered the sizes 56 newborn, 62 0-3... I even saw some 44 in C&A!! I'm not packing at 56 this time, I did for DD2 and I couldn't popper it up it was far too small - but she did weigh 5kg/11lb! She was in to 68 (3-6) at 2 months, and 74 (6-9) about a month and half after that!
I also had a Rezept for Tardyferon from Frauenarzt and still had to pay - i Have to pay 5-10 EUR for each prescription I collect, depending on the price of medicine (10% of actual cost I think, but min 5, max 10)
Due tomorrow, started losing my plug today! Quite excited, as that never happened with either of my DDs. Was feeling really uncomfortable at lunch time, thought it would be typical if baby actually came now, but it all stopped after a lie down... 22 hours baby, then the childcare reinforcements are here... any time after that you're welcome!

Ohhhh, holywoodmum! That's exciting! But yes LO, just a bit longer! You'll have to keep us posted when you can though :)

It's funny to think that I could have been due now too :P But my Little girl is currently pushing on my belly button, it's pretty uncomfortable!

this wee one is currently quiet - I can almost guarantee 10pm will be the wiggling hour! It has been the last 3 nights!

Haha, just in time for trying to sleep?

My LO definitely follows the 20minute sleep cycle. She seems like she's always moving! Every time I think she's not, 5minute later she's at it again. But actually she doesnt wake me or keep me up so it's nice in every way :D

it's just while I'm dozing off listening to my natal hypnotherapy cd normally!

Apparently things like being still and breathing deep wakes them up:/ So sounds like a perfect time!

Maybe ours is a special expat insurance? I have got an ordinary German insuirance(TK) so maybe thats the diff.
My sisters sons are both quite big and even she had size 50 for them- because the 56 are just to flabby and big , but they'll grow out quickly mind. 44 and similar is mainly for prematures.
I like the German system of cm till adulthood though- is more exact and you don't feel discrimnaed if you are small(goodness me I was always short for my age-- I wouldnt have liked to have 12 yo clothing when I was 14 yo. :haha:

I come back to the article about inducing.when I have more time :) )

Thanks :)
Yeah we're BKK insurance, I dunno how it all works... not the end of the world either way I guess!
I think cos all ournewborn clothes have been washed so many times, that's why the 56 were too small!

Here is the link by the way-- but don#t let your husband read it if he is not in the mood for scientific language

Thats good, so he can summarise it for you without it sounding too scary :haha:

I used google translate - he's not German either so we'd both have been slogging through it! It made an interesting read (not all translated perfectly) but I definitely feel better for knowing what the guidelines are here beyond 41 weeks (which was the sticking point really) in terms of expectant or proactive management - thanks again!

Alright :). Google translate isnt the best indeed but it can help getting the gist of it xD. Although we have some ladies in here with a German oh so at least their Oh can get the info out of it :)

Well how are you anyway? I went to Ikea today to get a wardrobe. So tired!!!

Doing well, thanks! Aurora's become a whiner again so I'm wondering if she has more teeth coming in. :/ She's down for her second nap now so enjoying the peace.

How about you, how are you doing?
Ikea, how fun! :) We almost got a wardrobe there as well. Did you get any baby accessories? I always find it hard to leave Ikea without extras, haha! The food is also pretty good!
