I took Jacob around 17 months as he wouldn't even weight bear and seemed to be in pain when we tried to get him to do so, I was so worried. The Doc checked his hips and she was amazed that he wouldn't weight bear, cruise etc at all, she referred us to a specialist who had a look at him then referred him to physio, and recommended proper supportive walking shoes or boots - not crawlers or cruisers! He now has had 4 sessions and is doing great, he now pulls himself up to stand at the sofa and can cruise along, he will also take a few steps holding our hands, all be it very clumsy but he is getting there, he's now 20 months and it'll probably be another wee while before he's walking but I am justso happy to see him making progress as I felt like he would never stand and I also felt very left out and got so fed up with all the comments from other Mums about how he wasn't on his feet yet. He goes about on his knees mainly at the minute.
