Having trouble sleeping....anyone else?

Hi Ladies!

I am having a horrible time finding a comfortable position while sleeping, I find myself tossing turning most of the night, I am completely exhausted!

Last time around I didn't use a pregnancy pillow until about 5 months along - I'm not even 2 months yet and am thinking of getting it out of storage.

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting a more restful sleep? I'm so tired!!
 
I have no suggestions I'm afraid, wish I did!

I have restless legs already and then to top it off when I fall asleep I have weird dreams that wake me up!

So tired, and my 3 year old doesn't want a nap, as much as I try and bribe him so I can get a power nap lol
 
Me too! And I'm only 6 weeks in! This does not bode well for the rest of the pregnancy.

I was also considering getting a pillow already... it seems like it's so early, though, and I feel like such a whiny baby about it. But it's so hard to sleep!! I miss sleep!
 
I am at 7 weeks with the same problem. Toss and turn all night long, waking up constantly.
I heard that it could be the prenatal vitamin doing it so I just started to research that a little bit last night.
 
I had insomnia so bad with DS that I thought I was going insane. Unisom is a safe sleep aid that can help. Benedryl is considered safe also.

I have it again this time, but more sporadically than I did with DS. With DS I had it every single night for about 4 weeks - 6 weeks. I seriously thought I was going to lose my mind, it was awful. This time I have it about 2 nights a week.

However, I am on diclegis for HG this time, which is basically Unisom + B6. It seems to be helping tremendously for sleep, but only moderately for HG.
 
Wow, there are a lot of us not sleeping well! This is awful!

I hope all of us start sleeping again soon!
 
i have insomnia and i cant get comfortable i toss and turn all night and wake up constantly

this has been going on for about the past week or two and im 7 and a half weeks

its horrible me and OH and considered splurging and getting a new bed
 
I'm having trouble staying awake, and my legs keep waking me up. They go numb for some reason
 
No tips from me am exactly the same and I'm exhausted. Restless legs, restless body, I'm using a pregnancy pillow too
 
I had trouble sleeping but I found that if you do some sort of light exercise, like going for a walk after dinner, nothing too crazy, I sleep SOOO much better! And yoga is amazing when it comes to sleep, I sleep like a rock when I do yoga.

I get dirty looks when I tell my pregnant friends this, for some reason, but it's just in my experience this is the only thing that works for me. Otherwise I just don't sleep. :thumbup:
 
i am extremely tired all day long mentally and psychically but then as soon as its time to cuddle up and go to sleep
im wide awake with insomnia so many thoughts running through my head
and on top of that my bed which felt soooo comfy before getting pregnant feels extremely uncomfortable i toss and turn and cant get comfy to save my life
 
Ive had insomnia recently too. I wake up in the middle of the night and cant get back to sleep for hours. I just lie there and my mind is so active. Then I need the toilet, then I get hungry and im up and down like a yoyo. Its almost like im so over tired from the 1st tri exhaustion that its affecting my night sleep or the hormones are going crazy and waking me up. I don't know. But I need to sleep through as the tiredness is just ridiculous at the moment, even when I sleep well.
