Hoping April is Our month for good things to happen

Well Floridasian...grab my hand & let's just take a leap of faith this month! Despite being bummed, it does make me happy I have someone starting the same day as me.

I am totally unprepared for this cycle. I didn't plan to use my monitor, so no sticks, no opks...I am going to have to hit amazon tonight or later today if I have time. I will pick my fertilitea back up this cycle...I have a lot left. I am taking DHEA, rasperry leaf supplement (easier than the tea for me), omega 3, vit D, vit c, multi vit, prenatal, DHA, zinc, b6, b12...I think that is it. I also have pom juice & other juice at home. So cheers (me holding a glass of pom juice ;) )

Just went down to the basement to get out the POM juice. Cheers!! :drunk:

Beaglemom, sorry AF got you. That is awful there was a mix up about the class and meds information but I hope your class goes well today. With your hubbys numbers and your supplements it might be good to give one more shot at the natural cycle.

Floridasian, I am sorry af got you too. Wow girl you are ready this cycle with your plan and supplements! Hopefully your post op will go well on Friday.

Misaacs, maybe recovering from surgery has really pushed o back this cycle. Keep testing, I hope you get a + soon.

My bad day keeps getting worse, sore throat, cramps, no Internet and I turned wrong and messed up my back. I don't want to take meds so I am laying on the couch in pain waiting for the service guy to fix my internet. Thank goodness for my smartphone and some magazines! :)

Ugh beaglemom, I had such high hopes for you with you being on your 33rd cycle day. URGH.

Ok, and I'm a little ticked too that your RE didnt explain a little better about the class/meds. But here's what I'm thinking... Why not go ahead and have them write the script for the Femara at least, and pick that up so that you can start it on day 3? That can be picked up at the pharmacy so you dont have to wait for it. As for the trigger, you don't need that until it's about time for O, so you have time! I'm doing the same thing right now... I was able to fill the femara at my regular pharmacy, and then had a little surprise when I found out that the trigger shot had to come from Cigna Mail Order. I had my RE call them up and let them know what date I needed it by, and they put a stat on it, and they're going to have it here by Friday. I probably don't really need it until next Tues or so, so it would've still gotten here on time even without putting a stat on it. Do you think that would be possible since you are at least doing what they ask and taking the class today?

btw, everyone, hi!!! and welcome to the new ladies, we're happy to have you! I will reply to other posts later. I just had to jump in on beaglemom's situation, as I'm feeling her frustration.

Yes Erin...totally my thoughts. We will see how it goes.

I may have saved the cycle...not really sure yet...depends on if I can get a rush on the prescriptions. I will keep you posted.

I will have the baseline ultrasound tomorrow morning.

Fx'd beaglemom! How was the class?

To be honest, it was rather stupid. But whatever to get this thing moving. They talked about the drugs how to take & when. But it isn't really that hard. I think the class should be optional. I think the main thing was getting the RX filled.

I hate insurance companies. I have to call the mail order pharmacy tomorrow to basically say did you get it, when can I get it. Then I call my local pharmacy to put in for my femara & they said I have to bring in the prescription I can't fax it. My dr can. SO STUPID! They will probably call the dr anyway to verify, so who cares how you get it?

I was trying to read and catch up....what is your class for? Are you doing an iui again with different meds?

Same here.... like jumping through hoops trying to get this Ovidrel shot. First, I couldnt just pick it up at a regular pharmacy. My insurance says I have to use a "specialty pharmacy", and of course, the Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy was the best one. But they needed (and here's what annoyed me most), not just the prescription itself that was written out by the Dr, but ALSO for the Dr to call them and give authorization for it. I was like... um... doesn't ONE of those two things get you what you need?? But I ended up having to get the Dr to call them to give the authorization, and then had to get CVS to transfer the actual prescription itself since I'd already dropped it off with them. SUCH a pain. But it all got done, and I actually just got off the phone with Cigna Home Delivery, and she said they are shipping it out today overnight, so that it arrives tomorrow. I don't need it that early, but hey, I'd rather have it early than late!

I had 3 unmonitored clomid IUI cycles...timed with opks...but timed not so well based on my gyno's hours. So now I am with a specialist where timing should not be an issue because they are open every day. I am doing femara instead of clomid & also doing a follicle stimulant called follistim. This is follwed by a "trigger" which forces me to ovulate when my follicles are ready. I will also be monitored with ultrasounds. So my clinic required me to take a class on how to use the meds since the trigger & follistim is an injection. They also used this time to order my meds.

Erin, everything is the same here. I am hoping I can get overnight even if I pay extra. I mean, why not...it is already on a fedex/ups truck. The way I look at it, once this first round is over, next cycle (if we need one) will be so much smoother. Right now we feel rushed & panicked...just like my first IUI.

So all in all this week THREE trips to the city of my specialist...which is about an hour - hour 1/2 one way. One for this class, another super early AM for the baseline, then Friday we are going out in that same city. So I am going to be exhausted. One good thing is the place we are going serves mixed drinks in a mason jar (a BIG jar) & they are $10...so I am def hitting those on Friday.

Beagle - I was going to suggest the same thing as Erin - go with just the femera this cycle if need be. Sounds like it might work out though. I also needed a mail pharmacy - used Freedom Pharmacy, they always fed exed the meds because it has to be refrigerated....keep that in mind ladies and get the box delivered where it can be placed in a fridge. I think it will work out for you!!

AFM - still waiting for AF, but another BFN today.

Oh I see! I think I am going straight into monitoring. I mean if things work out and I can do iui. If ivf, I will be monitored even more. I'm not looking forward to more needles but it is what it is I guess! Luckily, my husband does all of my injections now so at least I'm not stabbing myself. I get nervous when I have to do it and always end up bruised instantly. Hopefully being monitored is just what you needed! It's kind of nice to be monitored I imagine. Gives you a break! I can't wait for somebody to take over the control I have right now. Lol it makes me crazy.

I think I'm ovulating. I have 3 huge pimples overnight. The kind that really hurt! But yay for ovulation! One step closer to starting iui or maybe a miracle BFP! Hurry up May 1-May 5! I'm so impatient.
Is everyone in the US in this group? I am out in Arizona

I can't believe all the nonsense with ovidrel, that's just nuts. I got mine from Walmart. They had to order it which took 3 days, but I always dropped the prescription off with my clomid script so I always had it in plenty of time. I wonder why it's so hard where y'all are!

Misaacs, I did 3 rounds of clomid, 2 of which I also used the trigger shot. None of those cycles worked and I wasn't ready to move onto IUI so I started taking fertilaid for women. 2 cycles of that and it moved my O date up 4 days to cd14 and that's when I got the BFP. Even with the clomid I was Oing really late so I think that's why it never worked for me. This fertilaid definitely regulated my cycle though.

Suzy- I am right there with you! No + opk and it's cd23! I did have the surgery and not on femara this cycle. But I have been feeling like I might O. I didn't have any pain in my ovaries and now I am experiencing some pains. Hoping I O so we can at least try this cycle.

Hi misaacs,
Still no + opk for me. At least I'm not alone in this :)
I've been totally wiped out this week because of the move but I think the worst part is over. But my body isn't exactly in perfect condition right now. I have been stressed, I'm tired, I had lower back pain from lifting stuff, my muscles hurt, my head hurt this morning. I was close to having a meltdown when I woke up today when I thought of all the things we still had to move to our new house. It's amazing how much stuff people accumulate over the years. But today we got a lot done and I feel better now. At this very moment I feel some twinges on my right side but I don't know. Only the OPK's will tell. And FYI, we've been too tired to BD this week. But maybe we will today just to say a proper goodbye to our old appartment :)

Allison- I took fertilaid with fertilitea about a year ago and it didn't work for me. I honestly can't remember how long I took it for but thinking it is because of the endo that it didn't work. I have been drinking the tea again only once or twice a day. But have bumped it up to 3 times a day to see if that helps. I am going to continue to drink it next cycle too to see if it helps with follicle size and maybe get a BFP!

Suzy- I know what you mean about the lack of BDing. Dh and I have not even doing a lot of that either. He was too nervous to bd after my surgery. He said he didn't want to hurt me or mess anything up. I told him the doctor said it was ok after 5-7 days but he made me wait like 10 days. Which ended up being like 3 weeks without any BDing since I was on my period before my surgery. I was about to die!! Lol. Hope you get a + opk soon!

Just took another opk and it's - too! Freakin stupid body just O already lol
