Hoping April is Our month for good things to happen

Haha, we can come here, sqqquuueee in excitement to get it out of our systems so we can have a straight face while we try to come up with an epic suprise for DH. I was thinking about getting some cute onesie or a "you're going to be a dad" book, or something, and wrapping it up for him. But I certianly don't want to get anything like that before a BFP (a little superstituous about that kind of stuff), but how am I going to get it, wrap it, and give it to DH before being overcome and spilling the beans! Ahhh, feel like I'm getting ahead of myself. Per the usual.

I think these sort of things are fun to think about...& for me, it keeps hope alive. I keep envisioning it happening...so it will. No more "if" I get pregnant...only "when".

floridasian, awesome news!! So glad you are back to less than 1, now it is time for the hysteroscopy and then your bfp!

MissStacy, so glad you checked in with us! I hope you O soon and get a bfp for a great wedding present!

Misaacs, thinking of you today and hoping your surgery went well.

I totally saved my +hpt from my m/c. I just couldn't throw it away. It is the only thing I have that has a part of my lost baby on it. I was thinking of buying a paver block or something to put in my garden to always remember my angel baby. I am a bit crazy when it comes to the tests. I have all my opks lined up in our master bathroom, along with pictures on an old camera I don't use much. When AF shows up I throw all the opk tests away, but I had started saving them to have in case I was pregnant...though I doubt I would put them in my baby book...I mean they do have pee on them. I also wanted to surprise my hubby but in December when I got my bfp I basically shoved it in his face and asked him if he saw a faint line...nothing says "surprise" like a stick of pee in your face! :)

So my temp dropped again today and my armpits are a tad bit sore but no other symptoms at all, I feel like AF is on her way. At this point if I am not pregnant I would rather just get AF over with, should know more in the next few days.

I hope it stays away all together...but if you do get AF, I hope it at least waits a couple of days giving you a longer LP. I think at the very least, you want 10 days in the LP.

Thanks beaglemom, you are right...I do hope my LP is getting longer. It is only 8dpo, I am just getting upset with my lower temps but maybe those don't mean much hopefully. Trying to stay positive but it is hard.

I totally didn't think about it until someone on a different thread pointed out that I would still need an OB, that the FS don't deliver babies...whoops, guess I am searching for a new OB tonight.

Hi ladies can I join you please. This is our first cycle of ttc 1. Only on CD3 so won't be testing till the end of the month. Wishing you all good luck x

I was having that conversation with DH the other day. I asked him how successful did he think that my RE's office was, because I never saw any pregnant (or visibly pregnant) women in there. But then I was like, well, I guess they are sent to OB's after they are out of the high-risk woods and that's why I never saw them there? I was also wondering about that - do RE's deliver babies? DH said yes but I didn't think so. I think they can but they don't. When I got preggo in Nov I was going to research on that and maybe start looking for an OB. Unfortunately I never got to that point.

Thanks ladies for your thoughts! So the doctor found that I have stage II endometriosis. It had my tube closed and also had it attached to my uterus. Also found scar tissue near my cervix.
Funny story, I was prepped and waiting when Dr. Chin came in. I was telling him how I didn't sleep very well because I was so nervous. He said want me to needle you. At first I was like no but then said ok. He put to acupuncture on my ears. I looked like Frankenstein lol. The anesthesiologist came in after I had forgotten about the needles. He was looking at me all funny and I didn't know why. He then asked me if they are some new peircings lmao. I had to tell him that no dr. Chin did it for me to calm down. He said dr. Chin did that? I said oh yea! And the underwear they gave me were so awful but my mom and I had a huge laugh about it lol

I don't think REs deliver. I think they keep you for like 8-12 weeks then pass you off. You guys def need to get an OB lined up. You will be pregnant before you know it! You don't want to be trying to find one after the fact!

Misaacs, do you do regular acupuncture? I am just not sure if it is doing anything for me. Not sure if I would notice a different physically anyways. I guess we will see. I am trying to pull out all the stops this cycle.

On my IUI thread a lady just posted her BFP. It was her 3rd IUI & she would be going to IVF if it failed. She said she hoped it didn't upset anyone. I said I am going for lucky #3 as well...no reason for anyone to be upset. She def deserves it after all the mess of IUI. Not there anyone on the threads doesn't deserve it, of course.

I love this positivity! I want AF to hurry up and get here. Will take TTC much more seriously next cycle and I will have a BFP by May! Yeah!

I have been researching my options for a new OB. I really would like a female but I either need to drive to the main hospital or to an offsite and they are both about 30 minutes from our house in different directions. I told my hubby I wish we already built our new home because it would put us a lot closer to the offsite location! I definitely want an OB lined up and an appointment with her before I have my FS appointment. Glad I got extra miles on my lease car, I may use them up driving to appointments!

misaacs, I am so sorry about the endometriosis among other things your doctor found. How are you feeling now? That is so funny about your new "piercings", always good to have a laugh before surgery.

Bowmans, welcome!

prachipie, don't close this cycle out...you could still get a bfp! Your chart is looking good!! :)

floridasian, I figured they did it all but I guess they only get you pregnant. I hope you are able to find an OB you like soon.

beaglemom, all I am saying is the third times a charm! I bet you get your bfp very soon!

Welcome to the thread bowmans! You'll love it here. :flower: Some of us have been together since Nov, starting a new thread each month, and we've had tons of other great girls join recently. It's a great group.

Prichipie, I agree w/ savvy, your chart looks awesome, so I wouldn't be counting yourself out yet at all!

Savvy, sorry for the long hike to the offsite location for an OB. I absolutely love my OB, so I knew I'd have him deliver my baby (or babies, let's talk plural, hehe!) even if the RE did do deliveries. I would've even stayed w/ my OB for the specialist stuff if I could've, but as we all know, the OB can only do so much. So, onwards and upwards!

Beaglemom, that's great about the lady in your IUI thread... Honestly, I like when people tell about their BFPs in those situations, because that's what we like to see happening, as it gives us hope. We have a thread in the Loss forums too, and it's great to see the BFPs!

Misaacs, so now that you know about the endo and other scar tissue, were they able to get it outta there and open your tube? If so, I think that's something to celebrate, right? Bring on that bfp!

I am so happy actually! Even though I'm out this cycle I am just so happy it all got fixed! I now know why it hasn't been happening.

Erin, I am glad you love your OB! I loved my old OB from when I was in high school, he was older and suppose to deliver me as a baby but I was two weeks early and he was out of town. Sadly he retired many years ago. I managed to locate another offsite office which is a bit closer (only 25 minutes...lol) that has OBs and Certified Nurse Midwives...which I know nothing about. Anyways they are all female and I think I will call tomorrow for an appointment. I am excited that we are all moving that step closer to our bfps!

Any opinions/suggestions??
...I have had this weird taste in my mouth for the past two days, I didn't think much of it yesterday. I was very thirsty and even when I ate and brushed my teeth it came back. I forgot all about it today but as the day goes on I noticed the same taste in my mouth. I had this one other time when I was on some heavy duty GI meds and the side effect was "metallic taste"...this is similar but I am not taking any new meds and I didn't eat/drink anything different. Anyone ever experience this in the tww?

Ahh, you guys are giving me hope for this cycle and making me want to POAS. I will be strong and hold out, seeing those BFNs is such a bummer.

Savvy, let us know how the female OB practice looks. I've heard good things about places that work in conjunction with midwives, often they are more receptive to doing everything possible to make your birth plan a reality.

I found my OB in the most random way. I obviously don't want to tell friends that we're trying but I happened to mention something to my hairstylist who recently had two kids and she loved her OB. I checked reviews about the OB on Yelp, all super steller and then I saw her for a gyno visit and the rest is history. You might to think about asking for recs from people in your life that you don't see as much and wouldnt' mind if they knew you guys were TTC.

Savvy, metallic taste is actually an early sign of pregnancy...so I have heard ;)

I found mine randomly, too. I had just moved here & a friend at work told me the place she went. So I went online to make an appointment & I think their website was messed up because only 1 dr was in the drop down for choices. I didn't care who I got, so I picked her. I have really liked her. My practice is actually women only.

And if asking for recommendations, I don't think people have to know you are TTC. Women are supposed to have regular check ups & it wouldn't sound strange to be asking people about their dr. But I guess different dr may have different opinions & thoughts when it comes to delivery & pregnancy. I still haven't decided how I want to deliver. I thought about natural, but it really makes my husband nervous...how crazy is that?

I can only hope that you are right! I just went to google and I see some people posted they had it between 7-11dpo....It is a strange taste, nothing takes it away. Feeling a little more hopeful now, thanks :)
