Oh the sleep deprivation! I feel your pain lol. I’m so emotional because I’m soo tired I literally cry at everything haha. My little one just wants to be cuddled all the time.....I don’t know how to settle him without cuddles any ideas?

Swaddling and white noise (specifically a tumble dryer) really helped DD when she was in the 4th trimester!

Hi all!
We got discharged from hospital , weighing 5lb 11 and he’s getting weighed again today.

They swapped formulas, bottles, monitored him and said it’s simply down to a slight tummy infection and a bad latch.

He’s so teeny I just need him to gain some weight now.

I'm glad hes home and gaining weight hollie! What a relief!

I had Enzo weighed today, hes gained weight already and is now just under 9lbs at 6 days old. what a tank! Hes so heavy my noodle arms can barely carry him around it's such a good thing hes more than happy and content just chilling in his swing

Attempted the school run today.... OH MY GOD how do people do it, I was awake from 5.30am and still only managed to get to school with 3 minutes to spare, my house looks like a bomb has gone off in here, so many nappies and pjs just lying around, but I'm taking this time to just drink a coffee while my little buddha sleeps, in fact I should have joined him

How people do school runs with 2 older kids and a newborn beats me! I am already done for the day I'm shattered haha!

@HLx well done for even getting out of the house! I didnt do the school run until Finley was just over 2 weeks old and that still killed me!
I was hobbling around like an old woman

Hi hon it sounds like it cud be silent reflux.
Babies with silent reflux dont throw up or anything but they cant lay flat on there backs.
I only know about it because I've had such a fight with my little guy and done so much YouTube watching.
I thought Tommy had reflux but he sleeps fine flat in his moses basket.
Keep an eye on it hon.
I've watched so many reflux and colic and silent reflux videos that I feel like a expert now lol.
Were just getting on top of the colic now.
The last 5 weeks have been so so hard but I'm so so happy things are finally looking up.

Sleep deprivation made me so unwell mentally and physically.
I really haven't enjoyed the newborn phase this time and it feels so horrible saying that.
I know it goes so fast but when ure in the moment and so bone tired it feels like forever.

To anyone who is struggling.
Ure doing great and it will pass.
My little man is just over 8 weeks old now and things are definitely getting easier.

We brought Tommy one of these and he loves it.

Ewen the dream sheep. When I switch him on' Tommy just stairs at him and it really settles him down and helps him to fall asleep.
This little sheep has been so helpful and helped soothed Tommy when hes really restless.
It sends my hubby to sleep as well hahahahaha.

hlx my hubby is back to work Monday and I’m so nervous of the school run. Someone suggestsed not showering first thing to save time but I feel so hot and sweaty from night feeds that I would look/smell rank. What’s your routine in the morning look like?

Bobster. I can’t recommend Ewen more. It has both a red light (like the womb) and 4 different sound options. DD still uses it now at 2.

Only downside is battery changes but I think you can buy a rechargeable one now!

I done a thread on this it's my morning routine on a school run, I feel like I have control of the morning now!

I don't shower in the morning, I'm a night time showerer so I guess that makes it easier for me to get myself ready in the mornings, I even have time to put makeup on if you do shower in the morning maybe you can get up an hour before the baby wants a feed to have an uninterrupted shower?
