I shouldn't post here but I'm wondering if you remember me?

I agree that it sounds like there may be some left over tissue. I would actually go in and see your doctor. I always think it's easier for them to fob you off over the phone. Hope everything sorts itself out and sorry for your loss x

I begged to come in for bloods but they won't see me for a visit.

I would call back and push for a scan this week, since you're worried and a week is a long time to wait. However, if this is a new pregnancy, I'm not sure if anything would show up on a scan. If you end up having to wait until next week, I would ask to have betas done rather than rely on a home test.

I'm so sorry for your loss. When I had my D&C, it took nearly 6 weeks for me to get a negative test. I agree with the others- as I'd definitely want to be seen. Any chance you could go into an ER or urgent care to explain your situation and have them do a beta?

I remember you! I'm not sure why it would be + still, seems a bit odd. I would go back to the doctors. After my loss and D&C I was back to 0 within 5 weeks...7 seems a bit long.

Its probably just residual tissue but one option is to take HPTs and see if they are getting progressively darker or lighter. I know it isnt particularly scientific and can vary based off of the dye etc. in the tests but if you are pregnant and your hcg was 17 it would be getting progressively darker rather quickly.

demand to be seen. if your current doctor won't see you, find a new one asap.

i don't understand wtf is wrong with some doctors/practices. this is definitely a case that needs to be figured out sooner rather than later ??

i hope you get it all sorted out soon! sorry you're having to deal with this :hugs:

I would tell the dr and have them run bloods. Not sure how long it should take but I myself had 2 m/c's and it didn't take long at all to go down. My late mmc was a D&C and it went down right away. I would definitely get checked. If you are you really need to know because of the IUD and complication in can cause and if not and you are still producing hcg they may have done an incomplete D&C

Yeah I don't get why some doctors are so careless and don't want to give people peace of mind. Many of them just see people as just another number..not a human being. It angers me! This may seem irrelevant to them but its important to you!! Don't take no for an answer if this is something you feel you have to know now!

I will be thinking of you :hugs:

I remember you, I am so so sorry to hear of your loss :hugs:  :hugs:

Took me over 2 months to get to 0 after my miscarriage last year. It turned out I had about an inch of residual tissue--they called it a "placental polyp." I did have to have a D&C to remove it, and then--surprise!--got pregnant only a few weeks after that D&C. Good luck.

Thanks so much. I am having a really crampy feeling today and always feel the need to pee. I don't know what to do.

If you were in the uK, I would just say book an appointment at the doctors and just turn up. Don't tell them why you are going and then say you are unhappy and need to get to the bottom of why it's like it is.

How did u get on Pinkie? X

I just tested again

Is that lighter than before? I still see a line, I am just awake and bleary eyed though x

That's good news honey, are you still going to talk to the doc or just keep and a eye on your levels? X

Actually looking at the test again, it's not lighter! Aww man!
