Ooh I love nosing through peoples houses!! I really like your living room wall paper, Beth_terri!

I posted our house in the other thread and not much has changed except DDs room. We got new furniture so set it up and decorated it today and she went into her big girl bed for the first time.

Heres her new room :)

My house is in the process of being overhauled!
We moved in a year ago, and managed to get the place cheap - it was a fire damaged property. No-one wanted it because of the history. It was being used as a cannabis farm when it caught fire! However, we know that all the joists, floors and roof is sound as they are brand new!!
However, it had been decorated to VERY basic standards (no carpets at all upstairs and the entire house is magnolia (bleugh))
We also managed to buy a small piece of land directly behind the house that we are going to landscape into a nice garden - eventually!!

Anyway, here it is. A lot of these pics were taken when we first moved in. Most of the rooms are still empty shells, but we are getting to them - slowly. We know we want to be in this house for a very long time!!

We have so far decorated 2 rooms - Daniels and the guest room/ours for the moment.

Thank you.
The stairs are still just painted white at the moment. I am trying to convince hubby to keep them as they are (but done better) or have a stair runner on them, but he is insisting on getting them carpeted at the moment!!

Lovely houses everyone.

ShanandBoc I loooove the owl bedding for your DD's bed!

Well since I've already posted pics of my house, this is our old house. I found the pictures from zoopla from when we had it up for sale.

I lived here from 1987 (when I was 3) until 2002, and then again from 2007 until 2010, so it really is my childhood home. I miss it a lot to be honest, even though I like the house we live in now.

This was our room (it had DS2's crib in it at the time as well at the other side of the room but you can't see it in this picture)
https://images.zoopla.co.uk/67a147f42d0b078545f467e1a78f79d1048bc56f_645_430.jpg

This was DD's room :

This was DS1's room :

This was the living room (that big picture on the wall was purely put there to try and make the wall look more interesting when we were selling. We got rid of it when we moved. It wasn't a picture we had any love for):

This was the dining room and conservatory:

This was the kitchen :

Don't seem to have any pictures of the bathroom online but never mind.

When I was a kid, my mam had the master bedroom, my grandma had the box room, Lily (an elderly lady my mam looked after who lived with us) had the second bedroom (that DD ended up with), and I slept on a sofa bed in the conservatory.
The decor was quite different back then. My mam was into antiques a lot so our living room looked like something out of Versailles when I was a kid haha.

Thank you.

Binxyboo, would stair mats be a possible compromise? These sort of things: https://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v0/...afe-elegant-addition-to-your-stairs-QB-4E.jpg They make nice ones. Convenience of carpet yet the stairs are not fully covered and technically, it's not a runner. :haha:

Loving this thread! Will have to post when we get ours more sorted! We're changing everything now with the baby on the way :baby:

We move in May, though no idea where to, but this is my inspiration for decorating the new place! https://pinterest.com/petitfox/sanctuary/

lol your tastes are sooooooooo different to mine. It's funny how diverse peoples tastes in decor can be x

This was my old house. Weve just recently moved and havent done anything to this house so not showing here lmao! :haha:

Miss it quite a lot. HAve so much more to do in this house. Its a state :(

I love the girls' bedroom in your old house
