iPhone - Anyone getting redirected when clicking on a thread ?

Girls could you try this for us:

Close ALL open apps
Clear cache and cookies
Do not open anything yet
Reset your router
Now open safari and try again once router has connected again

I am gonna sound abit daft now but why would it be a problem with the router if it only happens on bnb

I didn't say there was a problem with the router. Clearing the cache/cookies is standard after you have had the divert and resetting the router after many problems can help. Resetting your connection.

ATM it was just a little suggestion ... Worth a try, I am on different hours to tech support.

I was receiving the same problem so your not alone but nothing so far this morning!

Update: after resetting DNS, router, new IP, new router password
Also using chrome browser app instead of safari on my iPhone the redirect problem exists.

When looking up the issue on apple forums it suggest that it would happen on all websites and on google searches. The virus being called 'google redirect virus', which will redirect you to a dodgy site when you search via google. All the fixes above seem to relate to this supposed virus. So far this problem only occurs for me within the B&B forums.

The only other option left would be for me to factory reset my iPhone (which isn't cracked btw, so I don't see how it would get infected) obviously I don't want to do this.

Perhaps it is some malicious script that has hijacked B&B forums.

Maybe turn your JavaScript setting to off might stop it happening, but it could also have a detrimental effect on viewing certain websites and the things you can do on them.

What forum engine does b&b run off? E.g Vanilla forums or is it a custom build?
Maybe there is a update fix?

I'm sure the guys have all that in mind, they are still very much onto this but of course have to sleep too.

Sadly I too have had it return.

Somebody mentioned mobile version wasn't causing problems and whist some prefer desktop mode from iPhones/iPads it might be worth swapping over temporarily.

I'm still getting this issue. It's happening on my iPhone and iPad, but strangely only on this forum, I've been to another vb board no issues. *shrug*

It's still doing it for me too. I'll swap to the mobile version for a bit until its fixed.

It still hasn't happened for me since reset etc, but when it was happening it was only with BnB! something's gone wonky somewhere! Maybe BnB needs a close down until problem resolved or they can be sure it's not BnB! Good luck for everyone still having trouble and hopefully the poor Admin don't get nagged too much! Xxxx

Mobile version works fine.

It was no problem, my OH was snoring away so it prevented him from getting smothered!! x
