Hi there, I have a question......
Is it normal to sleep all day long? I cannot even drive a car because I fall asleep behind the wheel, its not like I decide to close my eyes. I open my eyes and suddenly find myself in the reverse lane. My husband has taken my keys away becuz I am a danger to others as well as myself.
When I say that I sleep all day long, I mean I sleep all day long, it is almost like I faint. cannot even hear the loudest noises, door knocks, phone ringing...etc...
I have absolutely no control over it, this afternoon I fixed myself something to eat , then I woke up three hours later, to find the food right in front of me, untouched. Yes, I fell asleep without even touching it. Then, I went to the kitchen and re-heated it, and came back into the livingroom and found a good movie to watch so I could actually stay awake, Guess what? I woke up three hours later with the food in front of me....UNTOUCHED!!!
So this time, I just chucked it into the garbage, and came back and slept until my husband came home from work. I am not a lazy person, I wa always one to hate sleeping, I aked my doctor if its normal, and he says it is, but I don't think that sleeping to this extent is normal......????OR IS IT?

Welcome! I was very tired in my first trimester, not to the extent you are though. Could your iron be low?

I agree, sleepiness is tired in first tri, but not like that... I would see a doctor.

    :hi:

I was so tired in my 1st tri with my two. You're body is working so hard at making your little baby. Just rest and if it carries on I'd be tempted to go to the doctors again. :flower:

Yes! I am actually anemic, which means that I am super low in red blood cells. I am already taking iron for it.

    Welcome! :xmas3:
It's normal to be very sleepy. I was SO tired when I was pregnant with my daughter. I basically just hibernated for the winter. :haha:
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you have a happy and healthy nine months!
