Well, Christmas was tough, but it's over (until tomorrow when we celebrate Boxing Day!)

But I decided that we are going to do one more IUI cycle (natural, this cycle) and if the IUI doesn't work with the steroids, then we are going to start looking at ivf with my sisters donor eggs.

I'm still sad, but it woul be completely unlike me to just give up. We've been at this for over 3.5 years...what's another cycle, right?

Awwww hunnie are you sure it's your eggs? You can do ivf with your eggs/dh sperm and have all the embryos tested for abnormalities.... Maybe thats a better route first before using your sisters eggs?? Idk... Seems like a big jump esp if your not sure it's an egg issue .. But hopefully the Iui will work and you will have a beautiful bfp!! Enjoy boxing day

I back mo baby !! I reckon you should have a bash at you own eggs with ivf becoz if you don't try it 1st you will always wonder in the back off your mind !!! If your anything like me I would pay the world just too get my baby x

If I fail with my own eggs, there won't be money for a second round with someone else's.

If I fail with my sisters, at least we can say that we tried everything, including donor eggs.

but even if it failed with your own cant you then save again for your sisters ?

the thing is you can get pregnant so it is either something too do with then implanting stage or your lining if you have had everything elese checked hun



have you had a few cycles off your lining being monitored ??xxx

No. DH is very firm about one shot. In fact, I'm not even 100% sure that I can talk him into one shot. We're talking about 10k a pop here, per round. 2 failed rounds = 1 new car in my mind.

They've monitored my lining and supposedly, it's fine. Beautiful, thick, triple lined uterine lining.

But too thick off a lining can cause issues aswell


But wouldn't you rather have a baby than a new car ?? When I was trying for my daughter after I had 3 mcs I thought that's it no more Iam of too the docters I was only 18 so they told me too come back in a year ! Blah too them so I got a loan I have still got 3 years left too pay off that loan but it's dam worth it becoz I went too a private docter and he found my problem straight away but that money was so worth spent. !!

You could always get a loan or something if need a new carbon the future ??

Absolutely not.

We don't have any debt. We don't have any loans, our house, our cars, we have paid cash for. If we want it, we'll pay cash for it...and no, I don't think that this journey that's not even garmented to work is worth 20,000$

I absolutely will not take out a loan for IVF. Considering how much money it costs to raise a child, I think that it's irresponsible to add a loan payment each month to that cost. [For us, I feel it's irresponsible, if others feel that it's the right choice for them that's fine...but I don't feel that it's the right choice for us]

I don't think it's in responsible too get. A 'loan' weather that's for money house or car most people have too get a morgage too pay for a house and finance for new cars over here in England I dont know many people who can jut pay out for. Arouse it car unless there millionaires think our wages and stuff our a lot lower compared too America tho think your houses are 10x cheaper aswell over here the average 2 bed house in a gods area costs 170,000

All I pay on my loan is 57 a month which isn't very much it's like a phone contract .


Your probley best using your sisters eggs then for ivf if your only doing 1 shot . Are you sure there's no schemes anywhere that do 3 rounds for a certain price x

I think you should just meet with the fertility specialist first and be checked out... May have nothing to do with your eggs. I would think if it were bad eggs then getting pg would be difficult.They also have recommendations on improving egg quality. The fertility specialist can run test on you and dh to see where/ if there is an issue. Many times it's unexplained and ivf works wonders. I understand about the money; we've done several rounds out a lot of $$ but to me it's just $$ and I don't care b/c in the end hopefully it's worth it.

I'm so sorry hun. Here in Colorado there is a specialist that has a great success rate and for the price of one you get two tries, hopefully you have something like that in your area.

My ovarian reserve has been checked. It's fine, they said I've got plenty.

Doc said that if the eggs weren't good, my body would reject the embryo at the implantation stage, so it very well could still be the eggs.

The specialist we're seeing now is the best in our state, and he's got no answers...he's the one that started pushing IVF with donor eggs, saying we'd have a good chance if we tried someone elses eggs because my body is obviously rejecting my own...he also said that if it is an implantation problem that there's literally nothing that they can do about it.

My appointment is on the 7th, we'll see what he says then.

Sorry if I've come off kind of snippy ladies...I'm just so grouchy and I feel like I'm being beaten up over this. My moods have been swinging for the fences lately [I think it's from coming off the steroids...]

Ttc is one big roller oater it takes over our life's an basically makes us nuts lol


Theyre is stuff they can do about implatation hun becoz I was off too see a specialist but I got my sticky BFp ...... Have you had both progestrone & estrogen checked after ovulation ?

If lining is too thick it can cause problems with implatation too I really think you would have a good chance with your own eggs but growing the embryos for 5 days which my docter says would cut the chances off having a chemical

I really think you should think super carefully about giving it a shot with your own eggs first becoz you never never know

How are old are you if you don't mind me asking chick xxx
