FF won't detect ovulation until you've had 3 raised temps, so not until 3DPO. FX this is your month

you might be able to detect ovulation yourself, look at your chart, and see if you noticed a slight dip and then a rise of about 0.4 degrees....

this is probably your ovulation...

from the temperature rise, count back 6 temps!

and draw a line 0.1 degree above the highest temp (be sure to discount any temps that are way out or really erratic, but a little up and down is ok)

for example, my chart showed a dip and then a rise of 0.5 degrees, i counted back 6 temps, one of those temps was 98.1 whilst the rest were between 97.45 and 97.21....

so i discounted the 98.1 and drew a line at 97.46...this was my coverline...i could then clearly see the post ovulation rise, as it was clearly above my coverline...

the next two temps followed, followed by further rises.

ff predicted the same ovulation and coverline that I had (by myself)

Hi Girls!

I need some advice...

Just took a OPK and got a +! I'm on CD15...this is our first month TTC. We BD'd last night and used pre-seed. So, should we give it another go tonight or wait until tomorrow night? I've heard it's better to BD every other day? Any thoughts???

Bding every other day is only advisable if ur oh has low sperm count, having the bd once per day is most advisable during ur fertile window as sperm live longer in fertile cm. Fertile cm is loaded with nutrients that keep the sperm healthy whilst they lay in wait for ur eggy.

As the book making babies says, there is only a small window of a few hoers where an egg can be fertilized, think of it like a cruise ship, u can sometimes board a few days ahead of time, but once the ship leaves dock, ur out.....it's the same principle with sperm

I'm only on CD6 and going CRAZY !!! I am going to start using OPK's when I am back home on Monday. I ovulate around CD15 so I've still got 9 days to go. Oh well BD-ing anyway can't hurt....dunno what's wrong with me !?!? I've been super horny recently !!! (sorry if TMI)

Congratulations to all the BFPs!
Hoping this is a lucky thread for me too! On CD 11 today, didn't ovulate until CD 19 last cycle so will start using opks in 2 days. Hoping to start bding then too as supposed to be following SMEP but Hubby has the dreaded man flu hoping he'll be better by Saturday!

Went out and bought my tests today. They were on sale so didn't cost as much as I had expected, 6 tests in total.

I couldn't resist...

Of course it came out but I'm only 7-9 dpo so not surprised. I'll wait 3 days and try again since my cycle can range from 28-31 days.

Ok all you BFP'ers. Anyone in here get their BFP and not have ANY symptoms. I'm not worried about it, but it would be nice to know.

When I was pregnant last year (sadly mc later on), I didn't get any huge symptoms like nausea until 6-8 weeks, then the nausea and sore boobs really hit!


Anyways, 5 dpo here........wasting the days around until I can test!! Work tonight was insane (the snow came on quickly so we had 10 squads with MVAs within about 20 minutes), and I work tomorrow. Sadly I might test saturday morning (really early I know), I'm supposed to go out and party Friday night, and would love a reason not to drink. (I normally don't drink anyways for the TWW, but would love to know it's not in vain!)
