Amazing hun!! I couldn’t pump on top of feeding too you’re a star. Oh really I feel as if I’m fighting an ear infection so strange as I’ve never had one before wonder why… he is soooo cute!!! You’re doing really well to top birth weight in 10 days xxx
Mine has only gone up 300 grams in 2 weeks and 2 days when got weighed today. Having a lil glass of red and some bri and crackers tonight for a lil treat after a long day of errands.

How is everyone getting on?
Baby boy is 6 days old. I had to go back in last night as I was loosing some clots and membrane still. Now on antibiotics but they are confident it's all come away now.

He's boobing well and im managing to collect enough in my haaka while I feed from the other side for DH to give him his last feed before bed so I can head up around 8pm and get my head down for a few hours then hubby does next feed and settles him. Worked well with the others!

Having problems with slow weight gain here, day 16 and he's still 225g off birth weight. New territory for me as my last two piled it on but this is my first time EBF (I combi fed before)

Had antenatal clinic yesterday and they think he has a tongue tie. Having him assessed on Monday.

His latch is a bit hit and miss. It often looks good but he's actually got his bottom lip tucked and he frequently falls asleep on the boob after about 5mins!
Hopefully we can sort easily if thats the case.

41+3, we’re now 10 days past our due date and still no sign of baby. Apparently my uterus is a comfortable place to be. :haha:

You are a heroine <3<3<3

Hopefully little one isn't keeping you waiting too much longer and the drs aren't on your case too much xx

Aww baby still cozy in there :haha: have you tried anything to induce labor ?

Still here, still ticking along. 42+2 today!

I am now referring to the baby as “my little hostage”. I’m really hoping we’re next and reminding myself that no-one stays pregnant forever. <3

I’m also going to cut myself some slack, for the last few weeks I’ve really hated how much pain and discomfort I’m in but to look at the actual size of my bump, my body is amazing for even supporting this!

Are they going to induce Labour or how long they giving you? Xx

I think it's amazing you've chosen to wait until your body and baby are ready. Definitely give yourself some slack as the end of pregnancy is really really uncomfortable and not very enjoyable.
You have totally got this...I'm assuming your hospital are making plans and trying to get you to give birth asap as I know that's what our local is like.

If you want to do your own thing you absolutely should and I am in awe of you! Keep going mad rest loads when you can!

Best of luck! Xx

Wow @Jess0685 that's amazing you are staying so in control of your decision! I bet you are facing a lot of pressure. I wouldn't want to be induced or have a x-section either but at past 42 weeks I think I might start considering it!!
Fair play to you, you are one strong mumma!

Thank you! <3

Yep, you’re absolutely right. Midwives and consultants, even anaesthetists have applied a lot of pressure on me but I remain strong and have taken back the control of my own body and baby.

Baby is perfectly fine, happy and healthy and I’m just waiting for them to pick their own birthday. Yes, I am struggling, yes I am in pain and yes I can’t wait for this chapter to be over but I’m making a fully informed decision and I am well aware of the risks associated with an induction or elective caesarean.

I’ve armed myself with research, studies and have made a new best friend (ex senior NHS specialist midwife) who has really helped me fight the system in terms of their bullying, harassment and them trying to coerce me.

I am hopeful it’ll be any day now, but my baby and body are in complete control. <3

Ah I totally get what you are going through...I birthed outside of NHS guidelines and was constantly told how 'risky' I was! Luckily my midwife was awesome and advocated hard for me and we got our ideal birth.

So glad you've got good support and can advocate for yourself too! I hope you get the birth you hope for and remember you have got this x

I'm still here waiting for baby too jess.
Hoping I don't go overdue, you are a trooper for sure!!
