June Dragonflies 2016 Babies and Beyond!

I know! It really doesn't feel like she's 4 months old. In 2 months time she'll be starting solids!

I'm still amazed at how much they learn and grow in the early days (and I'm on number 3). We've had a couple of giggles from her but today Sophie was dancing and singing to her and we had some proper belly laughs. I managed to get some filmed; it was just adorable.

Not a great deal else to report here. Dreading the 4 month sleep regression but I imagine that will be closer to her corrected age.

My big girl swam independently for the first time today. I'm so proud.

My spotting has started again :dohh: I always thought for it to be a period it had to go on a pad? I've red spotting which I don't know what to classify under

Wow 4 months! So cute that she's giggling :cloud9: it feels like yesterday we were all waiting for our booking appointments!

Congratulations on your little girl swimming :)

Dory that's amazing! We've had a few little chuckles but no proper giggles yet. I have to keep reminding myself that even though Georgia Florence is one of the oldest her corrected age is one of the youngest so she's not doing things a lot of babies in the group are. She still can't bat a toy . . . Unless she's just kidding us on so she can get away with punching me in the face

I think they all learn different things at different rates anyway it's just easier to see in the beginning. Dope was walking at 11 months but Aaron was 15 months whilst Aaron could use a shape sorter at 10 months and it took Sophie forever!

Georgia Lauren is only just trying to bat toys sometimes. You can see her trying but it's so much effort. She's 11 weeks corrected.

I've always just counted it every Sunday she's another week? not likely be much out anyway no one else has said anything about it to me .. She's 12 weeks and 3 days I'm confused now .. I'm guessing makes her 87 days which is 2 months 3 weeks and 5 days  never accorded to me:

I do every Saturday he is another week, but he is a month older on the 11th of each month. Most months are 4 weeks and an extra day or two so if you count 4 weeks as a month then on their 1st birthday they will be '13 months' which obviously isnt right. If that makes any sense at all haha? :dohh:

Henry has become such hard work recently. Cluster feeding all the time and wont let me put him down. I cant get on with anything :(

Anyone know how to reply on mobile view? Been reading bit can't reply on my phone in mobile view!

If you want to quote then there is a link at the bottom of the message you want to quote. If you just want to post it's right at the bottom of the page (there's a white box). I rarely have time to use the laptop these days!

Thanks, finally found it!

pixie, glad G took the shots well. Wow crazy to think she's already getting her 16 week shots.

Karli, any updates? Can't believe your dr wouldn't give you anything.

H has been putting herself to sleep the past three nights without crying. I'm going to try it with naps today. She's been sleeping great recently and still through the night.

Really dreading the sleep regression. What has happened to you mamas in the past. How does the sleep change?

Georgia has had a bit.more awake time lately. Especially in the morning, she gets up for the day between 8 and 9 (can't quite believe my 3 month old sleeps better than my 4 year old :dohh: )

This has led to being awake for a couple of hours and then showing clear signs that she needs a nap. Yesterday and today I've scooter her up, given her a big cuddle and got some lovely smiles, tucked her in in her blanket and she's gone right to sleep. She's so so precious.

Starlight it really Varies from baby to baby. Xander was already a poor sleeper - he woke every 45 mins for months once he hit 4 months. Georgia is apparently in the middle of leap two now and other than crying at bedtime twice and waking in the night once we've had no change so far. Some babies won't change a bit, most I think will have some sleep disturbances and a few will be like Xander. Whatever Hannah does you'll manage! It doesn't last forever, promise!

Tink sorry Henry is being a bit of a velcro baby :hugs: hopefully it's just a little phase. How is he with Oliver? I find if I just need to get on Xander can entertain Georgie and she's happy with that.

4 month sleep regression:

Sophie went from occasionally sleeping through the night to waking every 2 to 3 hours until she was 10 months old.

Aaron never went mote than 3 hourly anyway but at 4 months we often had very short stretchy of an hour overnight too.

Probably a silly question ... When babies wake very often, do you feed them every time they wake? Or do they need help getting back to sleep and are not hungry?

H went in her crib for a morning nap but she didn't nap very long, only 30 minutes. But it's a start as she wasn't napping in her crib at all while home.

I have always fed when they wake through the night. Hungry or not it is their biggest source of comfort.

hi ladies so sorry i've been missing for a bit, we've been trying to get the house organized and cleaned as i haven't properly been able to do so since being pregnant! i couldn't lift cause i spotted when pregnant and my mw yelled at me, then after i tried getting it into order and made the discharge worse and got yelled at, then i went on vacation and got sick the week following! omg! but now, everything is clean! i feel so much better. but i had to really work.

today we are relaxing and i think j has a tiny cough :( but eating and acting happy. still no laughs yet. i'm dying for those laughs!

Starlight- When j wakes, he goes down at 8, and doesn't wake til 230-3 am for a feed. I feed him, put him back down, and then if he wakes again before like 5 it's under 2 hours and he's lost his paci. usually if he's hungry he will wake again immediately. this am he woke at 2 and 5 so fed and back to sleep til 7

Thanks ladies, I'm just trying to prepare for what the sleep regression will bring. Really stressed out about it to be honest.

Mommyx, it must feel great to have a clean house!

Starlight there's no need to stress hun. It's just the same as any other night since she's been born. She might wake more often or she might not. But if she does you'll manage - you got through newborn unscathed!

When Xander woke very often I fed him every time - easiest route to sleep!

We had first jabs yesterday. Poor thing. There is so many of them! Poor mite. She got a little warm but nothing major. She has slept almost the whole of today though!

Starlight I still have to feed Alice to sleep for every single nap ! :hugs:

Mommy, it's a great feeling when you achieve a clean and tidy house. Well done you!
I hope J's cough doesn't get worse honey. Xx

Rhi, A looks adorable in her headbands and cute clothes.
Glad she didn't suffer too much with her injections. I'm dreading N having her first ones next week. Xx

N slept through the night a few nights ago. I was so impressed. She seems to wake between 4 and 6 now which is still fab anyways. She has managed to get herself into her own routine which means sleep by 8.30pm usually, a dream feed when I go up and sleep right around until morning.
She is 2 months today. Time is passing too quickly. :-( xx

I have really bad anxiety when it comes to night time wakings. I know it's silly!

Rhi, great pictures!

H took two naps in her crib this morning and got herself to sleep both times. Makes me think the fourth trimester may be ending since this is a totally new side to her. As much as I love the sleepy cuddles, it's nice to be able to use the bathroom during naps since I can't do that while holding her!

Starlight it sounds like Hannah is doing brilliantly. Self settling really is the key, if she can do that then she's got it, even if she wakes a bit more when teething or whatever, she will go back

You remind me of me when I had my first. He also slept through quite quickly. And because of that I worried myself silly about the possibility of night wakings and regressions etc. Well I can tell you that he never did have a 4 month sleep regression and neither did my second son. I wasted time worrying for no reason at all. They both had the odd night of being unsettled with teeth or illness but got back to normal afterwards. So don't stress, she might not even regress!

I also never look at wonder weeks now. I find it's silly as you just start to predict or expect bad times when they might not even happen anyway as they didn't with mine! I'm definitely going for a more relaxed vibe now. Arthur doesn't sleep through which would have stressed me with the others, but I have the benefit now of seeing al my friends multiple children some great sleepers when little and some awful, and every single one sleeps normally and fully now. They will all get there!

Thanks ladies! I do feel like H's nighttime sleep has been fabulous. She only had a nighttime feeding 4 nights in August! Her naps are a different story as she usually naps on me while home, but its quite nice to cuddle. I think getting her to nap in the crib during the day will be a work in progress. She did three short naps in there today but the longest one on me. I fret that messing with naps too much may affect her nighttime sleep so I didn't even try to the crib for the last nap.
