June Dragonflies 2016 Babies and Beyond!

Wow!! And compare that to Arthur who is now 16 weeks old and has never NOT had a night feed! :|

we've def always had night feeds here! minus like one night? j likes to go 7 hours, and then a three usually. but he wants to go to bed earlier than 8 but i'm trying to make sure i get a decent stretch so that's when we put him to bed. between 730 and 8. sometimes he gets real cranky so he goes earlier those days. hes so different than my dd its ridiculous.

still no laughs, i'm dying for those!

dd also never cared if she was in poop. he will yell to be changed. (sometimes he does little silent ones) and he really really doesn't like it!

nothing huge and new to report. looking forward to the long weekend (labor day monday) so we get daddy an extra day. :)

It's so funny how much things vary, I count Juniper as having slept through the night a handful of times, but as she goes to bed when we do (anywhere from 9.30- 11pm), and we are up by 6am with DS, that's 'only' a 7-8 hour stretch. She's usually up once or twice in that time though.

H gets up at 4 usually (sometime 5) and I consider it sleeping thru because that's when I get up so I just get her up for the day. We usually go to sleep around 7 or 8. I like 830 to be the absolute latest but not always in my control lol

Mommyx hope you guys have a nice holiday weekend! She doesn't cry for poo but thankfully I can smell it so able to change it asap.

Angel we counted that as sleeping through too. 10/10.30 pm to 5ish am. When I'm back in work I'll be up for 5 so I count that as morning.

Last night though Georgie slept 9.30pm - 8am!!! She woke up with a completely dry nappy and a massive smile on her face.

3 months old and already sleeps better than my 4 year old ever has :haha:

H will wake up with a dry diaper when she has a night where she sleeps really soundly (and I don't hear her stirring in the middle of the night). Usually it's pretty full when she gets up through and needs to be changed immediately!

I went to change her nappy right away this morning since she'd just slept for 10.5 hours and it was literally 100% dry! It's been dry or close to dry most nights tbh.

Xander is still in bed time pull ups and no where nea4 dry over night at nearly 5 lol

Ok so everyone counts sleeping through as something different! Arthur goes to bed at 7.30pm and I will count sleeping through as when he goes to at least 6am without a single feed.

Last night he had a 2oz dream feed at 11pm and then another feed at 5.45am. That was his best night yet..

Wow 4am start!

I don't remember Ethan going through a sleep regression. He slept through from 10 weeks and I don't think that changed much. Pixie, my baby sleeps better than my 4 year old too.

I don't know if it's coz it's my second time or because I had undiagnosed PND first time or the tablets that I'm on but I am such a chilled momma this time around. I don't give naps or feeds a second thought. I kinda just let Leo lead the way. He wakes in the morning around 7am for a feed and goes back to sleep for a few hours, then will feed about 11, then through the day every 3 hours or so and goes asleep for the night in his swing downstairs about 9pm and then I carry him up to bed and he wakes about 4-5am for a feed. I have to say it is much more enjoyable being relaxed. I drove myself crazy with Ethan.

Joey do you mind if I ask what you're taking?

I feel stressed all the time even though H has been sleeping well at night and is overall easier during the day in comparison to when she was a newborn. And its so silly becuase she's my only child and it boggles my mind how people can have more than one. I barely have a few minutes alone to myself to brush my teeth etc. I also still feel tired despite getting more hours of sleep than I did during pregnancy most nights.

we had a rougher night over here. j went down no issues but then woke at 1140 for his paci, and then 3 for his regular feed, 430 for paci, 540 for feed, 6 he became super fussy, i took him in with me because he just kept dropping it, but it didn't help. then he had a massive poo and i've been up since 540 really. i'm tired. he's trying to go back to sleep now.

We had a good night Friday night 6 til 5 then 5 til 8 but last night was awful

I feel like death!

I always said I couldn't of done it closer in age for kids I'm glad my sons older it's nice for them to be close in age to grow up together etc that's one thing I wanted but it's alot easier having a nearly 7 year old as he does everything himself really and helps me with a lot. I have to take Sydney with me if I need to get anything done either in my Caboo or carry her if she's not happy etc :dohh: but it works anyway I've learnt to multitask over the years

She's started making a noise a lot of the time just randomly but for quite a awhile going "oh oh oh oh oh" over and over :haha: very random though she started doing it

Mommyx, I hope you were able to get more sleep!

Becy, hopefully tonight is more like Friday night and less like last night!

I'm thinking I need to go to sleep earlier i just never can I think every night I have no idea when she will wake sometimes it's 12 others 3 or 5 :dohh:

I'm taking sertraline hydrochloride. I was a very anxious mummy first time around, so much so that I would have lifted my sleeping baby and brought him upstairs with me if I needed to use the bathroom. He is a very anxious child now and when I spoke with the behaviour specialist she asked if I was particularly anxious during pregnancy or when he was a baby and I told her I was and she said that he has watched my anxiety and learnt from it and that is possibly why.

Henry still has angry/whingey/colicy time every night without fail from 8pm and basically alternates between crying and cluster feeding. This stops at 10:30pm when he falls asleep for the night. Then he is up for a feed at 3am. Another at 6am. Up for the day at 8am.

I have a lot of anxiety about not knowing when H will wake up in the middle of the night. Although she's only had a handful of middle of the night feedings in the past month, I worry every night about it. I try to get to sleep as soon as she does because I'm so worried I won't get enough sleep.

I know people who have taken Zoloft because of ppd. I feel like I might have ppd but worry about taking medication.. I had a very bad reaction to medicine in 2015 and it was a really dark time in my life. I was extremely anxious during pregnancy and still am though so I hope I'm not teaching my daughter to be anxious :(.

Joey, Glad to hear the medicine has been working so well for you.

Tinker belle, you must be exhausted. That doesn't sound like you have a lot of room for sleep.

I suffer from anxiety, and yet I have an incredibly confident child. I really don't think your behaviour specialist should have said that to you Joey, surely all that does is make you feel more anxious and guilty on top of it!

:hugs: joey - I think we just are who we are. I have a lot of anxiety and Xander is very confident. I'm terrified of authority and he laughs in the teachers faces :dohh: my anxiety hasn't rubbed off on him at all.

Starlight I was going to say yesterday it sounds like you're struggling a little with anxiety. I know when I had xander I dreaded night time because I was going to bed to not get any sleep. I was sad and frustrated but I don't think it's usual to be worried or scared about a night feed - especially for a baby who sleeps so well. Being tired sucks but it's not something to be afraid of.

I think it might be worth getting some support from your Dr hun :hugs: there's no reason you need to take pills. Talking it through and getting help to think about things in a new way can make a massive difference :hugs: Please try not to worry, if hannah wakes you in the night try to enjoy the sleepy cuddles. Those days are over very soon and for some of us even sooner than we'd expect. From experience I'd say I feel no more tired from one night feed than I do from a full night. And I know you're concerned about the 4 month regression but not all babies go through that and for many babies it's barely noticeable.

First day back at school! I was so nervous for my little man's first day in reception but he's been a champ. Got up and dressed and walked to school beautifully. Went straight in and sat on the carpet like a super star. I hope he has a good day!
