June...here we come!!!

Hey ladies, just checking in! I've been keeping up, just not posting. Just been busy. I haven't heard anything else about my antibody issues, but did learn that it's just generally nothing to worry about until birth, so I feel a lot better about it. I have my 20 week ultrasound next Monday where they will check and make sure he's growing appropriately and look at all his organs and things so I'm really looking forward to that! : )

Erin, so excited to hear about the rest of the IVF process! I think it's gonna work for you!!

And beaglemom, 2 follies is great! I always only had one, so you're making better progress than I ever did!!! Good luck!!

Sarahlou, don't let pcos get you down. I tried for over a year before I got my BFP and I have every single symptom of pcos so it's definitely possible. I'd give it a few more months and it it doesn't happen, go see an RE. They will most likely give you clomid along with your metformin, and I've heard great things about that combo. Don't lose hope, it WILL happen!!

So my husband has an interview tomorrow for a promotion. I really hope he gets it especially if we need IVF...the extra money would be great. But I just learned that if he gets a job, he needs to train for 5 weeks...& he would leave pretty quickly after being given the position. The problem is 2 weeks is in Arkansas & 2 weeks is in Florida...the other week being in between back at home. So there is a chance IUI will be off for next month. :( But maybe I won't need it. And I def would rather him get the promotion even if it means putting TTC on a short break.

Allison so gald you checked in! Glad everything is moving along for you!

Beaglemom glad to hear about all the follicles! Let's hope for some good mature eggs! I am kind of in the same boat..dh has a week (5days) where he has to work a double everyday and of course that's around O time. We agreed to follow the smep as much as we can. But will have to see

Just got my pregnitude will start tonight. I had a few packs left so I used those first. Hope it helps!

Also ladies I decided to move the days I take my femara from days 3-7 to days 2-6 to see if it moves my O up. Don't know if it will work but maybe?!

My dr wants me to take clomid from day 2 to 6. He says he wants to catch that egg early on seeing I am a late ovulator. So hopefully this will help you. Fxd!

Hi ladies,
I've been keeping up but haven't had the chance to post. My laptop is in repair and I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and just left the city and went to the beach. It was really nice to get away from everything and relax.
Now back to business. I'm expecting af any day now, the symptoms are here. And then I will finally start my first round of clomid.
I see there's lots of exciting news :flower:
I'll be posting more regularly again from now on

Good luck on your hubby's interview for promotion, beaglemom! Hopefully you'll be able to work out the scheduling for IUI's. I know it's going to be tough but you might be able squeeze something in. You never know!

Welcome back Suzy! I might be moving into Clomid/Femara too myself next cycle if this one doesn't work out!

So I got a few more close-to-positive OPK's but the test lines were still just a tad lighter than control. And then this morning my temp went up a bit followed by a slightly lighter OPK. Now I wonder if I ovulated yesterday (CD9) already?? What do you girls think?

Erin - OUCH!! At my class they definitely told us to switch the needles!

Beagle - yay for lots of little follies - this is your cycle!!

AFM - still waiting for AF...not sure what will happen since took the HCG shot at day 25 - the day I normally get AF.

Well, the thing is, I'm using the ones with the Q-cups. Not sure if they showed you those or not, but when you use those, you don't need the stirring needle. When you use the Q-cup, the med dissolves all on its own. So I didn't know anything about this "stirring needle"! But for some reason, Cigna sent me the stirring needles AND the Q-cups, so that completely threw me off, since I'm not doing the stirring thing, I automatically thought that needle was the injection needle. But after I googled other girls' experiences, I realized... and I ran back to my Cigna box and looked... sure enough, there were those smaller needles that I could replace that nasty large needle with. I don't know why Cigna sent me Q-cups and stirring needles both. My nurse was the one who showed me the Q cups and ordered them, but maybe it's just part of the supply shipment so the patient has a choice once they receive everything..? Who knows!

So Moni, remind me... what was the hcg shot for? I know you posted it a while back, but I can't recall what the purpose was... did it have something to do with your cysts, or wanting to delay AF, or something? Will you be starting BCP after you get AF, or is that still up in the air? July is getting SO close girl!! I'm excited for you. :) I'm excited for us both. DH and I were talking last night, and it sorta hit me all of a sudden... I was like "I can't believe we might be pregnant in a couple weeks!" Of course, we won't KNOW in a couple weeks... it will probably be mid-July before we know anything for certain. But I got to thinking how cool of a feeling its going to be when they put our embryos in there.

Yeah - in the class they basically said it comes with the big needle but you never use it - I thought that was pretty wasteful - but oh well.

The HCG shot was because the cyst was still there and I still had high estrogen levels - so they wanted me to take it in the hope that it will shed the cyst. I am not sure what the time table is now - depends on if AF arrives this week or later...

Very excited for you!!!

FXed for hubby's promotion Beagle!! And hopefully either you wont need the IUI next month or the timing will work out perfectly!!

Thanks everyone...seems the interview went well. I am not sure how the timing is. I think there is a 2nd interview...not sure. But I know there is a store walk. Then they make a decision. But once a decision is made, no idea of how quickly they go to training. I am not too bummed out because at least another month off would allow me to catch up a bit financially. I am very excited about the promotion. He has a great shot & he is amazing at his job. So besides the extra cash, I think running his own store would be great for him. It is like things are falling in place for us to finally grow up more & start a family.

beagle, Fxd the timing works out for you. Would you guys be interested in freezing his sperm so you can go through with it if he's not in town? I know there's an extra charge for that and you guys aren't in a huge rush to get PG, and since you mention a financial break too, it may not be of interest to you at all, but thought I'd throw that out there. Either way, congrats on a potential promo for him! That sounds wonderful, and just in time for you guys to grow your family. :) GL to him!

Moni, FXd that the hcg gets that cyst gone and your estrogen down. I'll be curious to see when AF shows for you. My estrogen was a teensy bit high yesterday, so they dialed back my Gonal F dose. I think I have my first u/s tomorrow to see how the follies are developing.

floridasian, it does almost look like you could've O'd last night, but I would still BD tonight and see what your temp does tomorrow. Those lined tests drive me crazy sometimes... whenever I used to get close ones like that, I'd use the CB digi OPK to back it up so that I'd know for sure.

Suzy, how exciting that you're starting your first round of clomid! I'm sure you're pretty excited to be taking that next step. But FXd that AF just doesn't arrive at all this cycle.

Michelle, hoping the pregnitude works great for you! Keep us posted on how it goes. :)

Allison, SO glad you checked in. Been thinking about you and hoping you were doing okay. I'm glad you feel better about things and can relax a bit. You want to enjoy your pregnancy! How exciting that your 20-week u/s is coming up! Keep us posted on how things progress. :)

SarahLou, I hope you are feeling a bit better today! See allison's story, and she's now in her second trimester. You WILL get pregnant.

Hi Sarahok and everyone else!

Erin, I never actually thought about freezing the sperm. Thanks for the suggestion. I probably would not, though. I know my husband wants to feel part of the process. Also no need to add extra financial costs. And I would feel much better if we also had a chance to get some BD in around the IUI...I think it would make me feel like we had a better shot.

Even though we are anxious to be pregnant, I think I am more comfortable now if I took time off because I know exactly what the plan is for us. I have actually considered holding off on IVF (if needed) until next year so we can save more. It is really a toss up. Either I charge it now & start paying it off, or take the time to save a little money. I also would have to consider my timing at work. I have decided for the next 2 IUIs I am taking the day off. I know I don't have to, but I just want to.

The good thing about the monitored IUI is everything is pretty much set as far as the timing. As soon as AF shows, I know when my scans will be & my IUI (unless they delay it to allow more time for growth). So I should know early on if the timing will work out.

So I believe we are out this month. I am waiting for our July cycle to start and I am so nervous but excited at the same time. As soon as af shows I am suppose to call my ob gyn and schedule blood work for cd 3 blood work. The thing that makes me nervous is I can only get blood work done Monday through Friday and like 8-4. I work three days a week and unfortunately I have to work Thursday Friday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday so I hope af doesn't come until Monday otherwise I won't be able to make it in for labs not even close. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Ps my brother got engaged Friday and informed me they will have the wedding September 2015. Oh and here's the kicker the wedding party (I am a bridesmaid) have to fly into the ceremony because my brother is a pilot and planes are the back drop so if I am not pregnant by November then I will have to hold off a couple cycles so I am not pregnant while I have to fly. I hope my ob gyn can make this happen fast.

Why do you think you're out this month? Because of today's temp drop? Don't give up hope yet!! It could jump right back up tomorrow. But either way, very exciting that you see the RE when AF starts!! Btw, the cd3 bloodwork can actually be done on cd2, 3, or 4. All clinics may do it different, but I know my RE says it can be done on any of those days and still be accurate, so maybe call yours up and see if it's the same, so that you dont have to worry about exact timing.

Oh wow, the timing of your brother's wedding will be close, hehe! You certainly can't be nine months prego and be up there in that plane, lol. Well, I think you'll get your BFP before November anyway, so I bet you have nothing to worry about!

So I've started my clomid and I am hot! I can't seem to cool myself off. Is this a hot flash? Lol I've never had one. Geez! I turned on both fans in my room and just sat there naked.

There isn't always an implantation dip, right? Possible to get a BFP without? Definitely not one on my chart. :nope:

Testing in three days, assuming my temp remains high, getting SO nervous.

YES that is a hot flash. What time did you take your pill? I always took mine at night...usually you could sleep through the hot flash.

Ahhhh I took it super early in the morning. Dammit! I can't stop sweating and it's so gross. Fingers crossed this is the only thing I experience. I have an ultra sound on Monday to check myself out and if it's all looking good, I'll have an inner lipid? Have you had to do that? Apparently it's an IV with a soy based protein that takes about 45 mins to do. Supposed to help with implantation. This is the first I've heard of it so I'm a little thrown off. Maybe I will take my pill before bed from now on! It's 115 today in sunny arizona. I want to go to costco and stand in the fruit and veggie area. Always cold in there!

For this cycle, just continue to take it around the same time. I think you are supposed to take it around the same time every day. But if you have to take it again next cycle, take it in the evening.

I have not heard of the lipid. Are you doing IUI or timed intercourse?
